The room was just lovely. We were very happy with the size and our very comfortable bed and loved the complimentary indoor shoe slides. The breakfast was very good and we especially loved that we could have it on our own private deck each morning. The staff were absolutely delightful and very helpful and friendly. Anything we requested was immediately sorted for us. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved that we could step outside, down a wee ally way , and have so many good restaurants available to us to eat at if we did not feel like going to far. The nearby shopping was also very good. The beach where you would probably mostly choose to swim is just across a little bridge right by the hotel, you can sit in the shade of the tall trees and watch the horse riding go past and swim in beautiful Kamala waters. We loved this hotel and we are very fussy. We would definitely come back here as it is the perfect area to truly relax in, in Phuket. The swimming pool was super lovely and never busy which was just amazing to us. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

This hotel fits all the criterias we wanted: 1) right in front of a clean and nice beach 2) not at a crowded area 3) clean and comfortable room 4) within our budget of less than THB4000/night We were very impressed with the room when we checked in, clean, spacious, and there's even a spiral staircase that lead us up to the roof terrace for sunbathing. Sunset view was awesome, hammock at the balcony was a plus point for the room. There was a minibar in the room which is good for us to keep our drinks or store bought snacks cool. The snacks provided in the room are chargeable (bottles of drinking water are free). Bed and pillows are comfortable. The king size bed is really big. Smart TV which can play YouTube etc to entertain the kids. It was right on the Kamala Beach, which is not crowded and noisy like Patong Beach and not too secluded and quiet. The sand was soft and white, beach was clean, waves were good for surfing but not for swimming with little kids. There was a lot of food stalls along the beach which sell tasty thai local food with affordable price. Even the seafood restaurants on the street were very reasonably priced as well. There's even a newly open 7-11 just a short walk from the hotel. We didn't take the breakfast from the hotel as we planned to try the local Thai breakfast. There were street side stalls that sells various types of breakfast just about 10 minutes walk from the hotel (in front of Kamala market, in front of big c market).

The location of the hotel is a bit far off from all the other attractions. Island hopping tour will take up to an hour to reach the pier from the hotel, old Phuket town will take around 35-45min by car etc. We rented a car but there's no parking at the hotel area, however there's a public parking place very near to the hotel easily accessible by foot.

The room was very comfortable, the bed was lovely and the bathroom had a super jacuzzi bath. Very decent price. Good balcony to look out onto the view. Everything kept very clean. I don't normally spend too much time in a hotel room other than to sleep, however for this trip I ended up using the room more than usual and I really appreciated how comfortable it was. Very handy for local restaurants and shops.

You must remember to book breakfast with a form the night before. It's not onerous at all but it's easy to forget. You'll want to go up the beach a bit to swim as it's near an inlet but there are plenty of places nearby to get a deckchair and hang out all day. The room had a roof terrace but it wasn't too appealing and somewhat spartan, although the view was great.

Although the room was at the ground floor and with direct access to the back street and pool we felt it comfortable. Nice housekeeping every day and the jacuzzi bath is a great plus. Really spacious room and great bed. Friendly staff and amazing breakfast service served in the balcony.

I just think that breakfast could have more options to choose from. Not sure if was not the best season but we found that Kamala beach is not the best option if you like more picturesque beaches and with flat sea. Apart of this is great for food and quieter bars where you can enjoy affordable cocktails. Needed to hire a motorbike and travel around.

This hotel is a gem. Location is perfect, the beach is a few steps away, as are restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel is small, feels more like a boutique hotel. Rooms are very spacious, even luxurious with the jacuzzi. The breakfast was good and having it at the room terrace/balcony its adds to the experience. I want to highlight that the staff at the reception and really everyone we interacted with were superb, they really elevate the experience. The pool is small but enough, and it even has a bench and jet massagers. Even though there is no restaurant in the hotel, there are many options a few steps from the entrance in the main street. We enjoyed our 5 days 4 nights there, highly recommend it and would stay there again without hesitation.

No cons in our experience :)

Pretty much everything went well. We had a view of the ocean from our room. It was wonderful. We could walk to the beach just off to the right of our room over a little bridge. We loved the hardwood floors and large bathroom. We plan to go back as soon as we can.

The process to order breakfast could be a little clearer. We had to mark up a sheet the night before to get breakfast in the morning. It wasn't clear how much food we would get. We were a little disappointed with this process.

location was both a positive and a negative, the staff, the view, the room was spacious.

bathroom was a little pokey, biggest problem was the canal beside the hotel and emptied in front was filthy and was emanating a really atrocious smell. Litter on the beach in front of the hotel could have been raked up.

We loved everything about that place. The hotel is set in an excellent location, within a stone's throw from Kamala Beach and in close vicinity to the town's services and food and shopping facilities. The beach is very wide, clean, and not as busy as Patong Beach, so we were able to spend some quality and peaceful moments. The hotel offers an absolutely cosy, romantic, and friendly atmosphere. We also adored our hotel room, set on the ground floor, with direct access to the swimming pool, private table, chairs and deckchairs, and even sun shades and a hammock! The room had an ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi bath aside from a shower. Not only beach towels and beach bags were provided, but found dressing gowns and flip flops. We loved the homemade delicious breakfast served directly to the patio in front of our hotel room or inside the hotel room when it rained. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, and they were always able to offer advice or extra equipment, such as umbrellas. We could definitely recommend Layalina Hotel to everyone, and we would love to come back there once.

The only issue was the unsettled weather with heavy downpours at times, as we travelled at the start of the rainy season, but obviously, it is something the hotel providers could not be held responsible for.

The location of the hotel is wonderful - it literally takes one minute to reach the beach and there are plenty of places to eat and drink around as well as a supermarket. The room was very clean and spacious and has everything you could possibly need including large balcony and a jacuzzi bath tub that is big enough for two people. This staff at the hotel are very friendly and attentive and even decorated the room for my birthday. Breakfast is pre ordered the night before and brought to your room at a time that suits you. The hotel will also arrange a taxi to collect you from the airport.

The hotel is located close to the beach - from our room we had a nice see view. The price was also very competitive, I think price to value for this hotel is very good. We are going to visit it again next year.
