I love the fact they upgraded us to a Villa and we loved the view and exclusivity. The buggy staffs are so friendly and happy to help!

Some of the lobby staffs are not great in English and they don’t know how to service well. I wanted to get a pair of fork and spoons from the Starbucks, and they only had 1 pair of plastic fork and spoons, so I said I don’t mind paying for proper utensils. And they said ask from the lobby counter, so I went to the lobby counter and the lady said get it from Starbucks. Then they called each other and then I didn’t get a respond. So I went back to the Starbucks counter and demanded another pair. It was so bizarre!

The people were really nice and the location is impressive. We slept very well and recovered fine. When we came down the stairs in the morning, well rested and relaxed, butterflies everywhere, the impressive view, we felt really good. The breakfast buffet made every effort. The pools are better for photos than actually bathing. Bar and restaurant are basically okay and not overpriced. Lovely atmosphere, we liked it.

There have been guests who have complained about the cleanliness in the past. In particular, they would be annoyed about "mold on the walls". Well, we didn't have that. Of course, if you freeze the rooms with air conditioning to 21 degrees European "room temperature" all day long, and then open the windows and pump in the tropical-monsoonal air, then the walls and windows naturally "sweat" considerably, which in the tropics leads to plant growth. Phuket has 188 rainy days a year. The same with the mosquitoes. If you want clean rooms, you have to live like that yourself and show some responsibility.

The location of this resort is about 1.5km from the main Kamala beach. Whilst this walk is not arduous, the road is narrow and can be busy with traffic. We enjoyed this remoteness from the other resorts closer to Kamala Beach. The staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for them and so friendly. 2nd time we have stayed here in the last two years, we like it so much.

The main pool plays loud music with heavy bass most of the day which can be heard in the villas up the hill. Whilst not overly loud the bass makes it impossible to relax in your room during the day. This is my only negative about the property and to be fair, we never complained to reception and don't know if they would have turned it down.

I like the view from the balcony and the food. The location is great to visit other places like ANDAMANDA, Batong Beach and another very great restaurants by beach.

There are INSECTS every where in the room. Sometimes even in the bed. They should find a solutions to get red of them especially when there is no one renting. For the check out i phoned the reception at 11 a.m asking for IRON and we argued about it because i have to check out at 12. (1 hour is enough time to prepare your self and IRON your clothes)

great spot. perfect for kids with the kids room, has a small but decent gym.

A lot of guests smoking cannabis around the pool area. For someone who was pregnant and also had a toddler it would have been appreciated if staff asked to have them smoke at appropriate places away from kids slides and play area.

The location of the hotel, the peacefulness that comes with its location. A perfect place for anybody. I am already missing it.

There could have been more vegetarian options in breakfast and in meal options. The shower needs a good setting. The water at times is very hot and therefore an appropriate setting needs to be made.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Pool area and pool bar were amazing. Breakfast was well worth it and had plenty of options and the view over the infinity pool and ocean were fantastic. Other reviews complain about the steep hill up to the apartments but we got the buggy up most of the time.

The steps in the apartments would be difficult for older guests. Would suggest more frequent shuttle buses to Kamala and over a longer time period. Rooms need a bit of a freshen up as getting a bit dated but it was super clean.

The Namaka Resort is just stunning. The hotel, pool, staff, bedrooms were amazing. Kylie was exceptional, so helpful and informative, she was great at checking us in and got us into our rooms an hour earlier than we expected. All the staff were lovely. We are one night in the restaurant, the food was lovely, service was fabulous. Fabulous pool table in an air conditioned room. Gorgeous plate of fresh fruit delivered on arrival to our room. There’s a free bus that the hotel runs, from there down to Kamala beach which was great, we got a taxi back later which wasn’t much at all. The location was perfect, stunning views. A little peace of luxury in Phuket this place x

Can’t say there was anything to dislike about the property. The only thing I’d warn people about is if you’re in the rooms high up the little road, there are a fair few steps to climb. Me and my family were fine with this, but my 70 year old mum for example, is she had been there, would’ve struggled, so make sure you request a room nearer the actual main hotel building. They have a little golf cart that will take you up so far which is great.

Tam the area manager was a wonderful, very experienced, friendly and nothing was ever too much. Sue, who expertly manged the swim up bar, has a permanent smile almost wider than the expansive views. Great location, friendly staff, great atmosphere - even in low season.

Espresso martini at the bar please! Though in fairness, had we actually asked, it would have been done. nothing to criticise.
