This is a fantastic hotel in the Kata Beach area, set on a hillside away from all the noise and crowds it was an oasis of peacefulness to return to after visiting the very busy areas of Phuket. The room was fantastic, absolutely spotless hotel and all the staff were great, there were no noise guests, everyone here was respectful so no door banging or shouting which was great. We organised a taxi via the hotel to pick us up and take us to the hotel and it was spot on. The pool is great as are the staff and service at the poolbar cafe/drinks area. The breakfast choices were amazing and catered for everyone, including vegetarian. We checked in late on christmas eve and it was easy and efficient as was checking out, again the hotel organised our taxi back to Phuket airport. We spent a wonderful 6 nights at this hotel and highly recommend and we would definitely return here. The hotel is set on the hillside and run regular shuttle buses down to Kata Beach. Kata Beach is a beautiful beach for spending the day at. We hired a scooter from the shop directly next door to the hotel and visited many places in Phuket during our stay. Excellent hotel and services, thank you!

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Staff were the best! They were so friendly and very helpful. My son and I did the cooking class and chef went over and beyond even printing the recipe for us.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at The Yama Hotel very much. The room, pool and restaurant were all very clean. The staff were welcoming, kind and helpful. They made us feel special by not just asking about our day but also remembering what we had told them. The staff made our stay very special. We enjoyed the view from our room (especially the sunset) and enjoyed the cocktails by the pool. We also participated in a cooking class which was well worth it and we will never forget. The breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious with new options every day. It had us going back for seconds every time! We will miss The Yama Hotel very much. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The only con was the need to consistently catch a grab to and from the beach we found the hotel shuttle service times did not meet our needs. This was easy an easy thing though to overlook.

I liked the hotel and facilities because it was desinged for family. Pool area was nice! Room was spacious.

I did not like the electricity and lighting solution in the room. It was not possible to use lights just on the balcony. The bathroom window needs curtains. We had the big room. But the bedroom and livingroom need to be separated with walls, these almost wall like things that are there, are not good enough with the baby, because baby sleeps lot more than a parent. Lastly - I asked two times the reception to wash the balcony floor, it was very dirty and we have crawling baby - they did not manage to wash it once for our one week stay.

The staff was really amazing, friendly, and very helpful. Thank you to all of you! Also, the breakfast was good and diverse (although I would have liked more exotic fruits), and the hotel was clean and very good.

The room from the mountainside is quite noisy because of the road, unfortunately. Also, The hotel is located quite far from the beach but offers a shuttle service, which is great. However, I was frustrated cause there are only 5 time slots available, and nothing between 3 pm and 6 pm and no shuttle at all in the evening if guests want to spend night in town! The hotel should provide more shuttle slots throughout the day. Otherwise it's quite far from walking and taxis are a bit expensive.

A cozy 4-star resort tucked away from Kata Beach. It's an authentic Phuket experience, summed up by views from the bathtub capturing local business and highway at the base of a gorgeous rainforest mountain (don't worry, the windows are tinted). Restaurant, staff, pool, vibes are all great.

You will need to hire a motorbike or rely on taxis, as the location is quite far from Kata Beach. Wouldn't recommend this one if you're looking for ease of access.

Having a room right off the pool was lovely. Our daughter loved it. I heard someone complaining about how cold the water was but we were HOT there and liked how cool it was. The swim up bar was nice. My husband had a massage and said that experience was very nice - and the best massage he had in Thailand.

Just some simple things like the grout in the shower was not all white. Once, the water filling the jacuzzi tub looked yellow when it was filled up. Some of the furniture was worn and older. The little couch in our room was old and could use replacing. Some of the fountains around the property were empty and not running. Everything was nice and we loved the nature all around the place but things were a little "worn." This was minor to us though. Overall, we really loved it there. We were careful with our doors and used the screens, so we did not have issues with mosquitos.

As always the staff were welcoming and went out of their way to make sure that our stay was wonderful. The rooms, pool, meals, friendliness and service make for an unforgettable experience.

The room was very spacious and comfortable so we slept very well. They also have a free shuttle to Kata which was helpful considering it’s quite far from the beach. There was also a gym on the premises which we appreciated.

The location wasn’t great, it was too far from everything. Additionally, the breakfast was quite basic.

The Yama Hotel room was very spacious for 3 people and the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating in providing us with extra duvets, hair dryers, and arranging airport pick up and drop off. Specifically, Beam who works at the restaurant was very helpful and friendly. The hotel's breakfast buffet was very extensive and had a good selection. Not to mention the smoothies at the pool bar were amazing! The hotel has a shuttle service to Kata beach which was helpful and free of charge. The pool was a great size and the hotel lobby was stylish. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Yama Hotel and would highly recommend this hotel in Phuket.

The lighting in the room was minimal and the bathroom was very dim. There were racks attached to the door which allowed us to dry our swim suits and towels but there should be additional racks provided. The location of the hotel is 1 hour 30 mins away from the airport. However, the hotel provides transportation services and the overall neighbourhood was family friendly and quieter than other areas.
