Stayed just for 1 day as a stopover before travelling to Koh Kood the next day. Staff were super friendly and helpful, lovely long almost deserted beach with kayaks free for guest use. Large swimming pool that looks out onto the beach, decent food at the restaurant and a small bar. Double room unit (bedroom and TV/sofa room) was superb. Only thing to bare in mind is there are no other facilities nearby so worth bringing some snacks and drinks with you if you don't want to buy everything from the resort or want a drink/snack after their facilities close at night. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Ventarás Chaan Talay was a great stay for our family of three. The staff was great, an affirmation of Thai friendliness and willing to help with any request. Pat on the back to the staff! The faculties were quite enjoyable. Breakfast was great, as was the pool, and walking on the beach.

To say it is something I did not like would not be reflecting the truth. I offer only observations for Centara and customers. Folks coming need to be aware it is a great stay for relaxing, using the facilities on site, including the Wi-Fi. But the location is rather isolated so do not expect beach bars and a strand of restaurants. We aware of this but as we had our car and I enjoy driving … visiting the Cambodian border area and traveling to waterfalls and Trat was not a burden. The other observation is for Centara, the shower stall needs upgrading, including a hand held shower head available.

If you are looking for a remote place to stay near/on the beach then that is a place you can go - if you don´t mind the long way to get there. Our bungalow was - during high tide - about 5 meters away from the shore. The beach isn´t wide - even during low tide - but it´s clean and so is the water, however, not even nearly crystal clear. Our spacious bungalow must have been very, very nice about 20 years ago, today it´s still nice and there is a modern air condition in the bed room, however, the air condition in the living room is very outdated and loud. The bathroom is big and the shower is working properly. All staff members were very friendly and professional. The pool is big enough for swimming.

This place could be so much nicer after renovation, but I actually don´t want that to happen. The state it´s in today might keep posers and so called influencers away because it´s simply not posh enough. So I don´t mind that there is just one restaurant on the compound (with a rather small standard hotel menu) and without any alternative within kilometres, I don´t care that many things on the compound and in the rooms look a bit shabby and are worn out or even a bit broken. I don´t blame the hotel that areas to the left and right of the compound are full of waste because I only see that when I go looking for it. Thailand is a paradise lost and I am afraid so is this hotel/resort.

I enjoyed four blissful nights at this hotel! The staff were wonderful, and the location is absolutely beautiful. As a solo traveller it is important to me to feel comfortable and relaxed and I felt both at all times. The massages were exceptional and the beach villa superb. I agree with other reviews that the score does not do this place justice- I also agree that the rooms could do with a little bit of a refresh, but in no way did it take away from my enjoyment- I will absolutely return if I am in the area and thank you for a wonderful stay!

This was a lovely hideaway, extremely remote, if you want to be shut away from life then this place is perfect. If you like to browse & explore nearby attractions, then it’s not for you. The staff are amazing, all of them, they are all friendly & welcoming, which for a solo female traveller is important. The breakfast is perfect for any nationality with lots of choice. The beach was so clean & very well looked after, I didn’t see any litter. The pool was well maintained & the restaurant staff are amazing. Must take advantage of the happy hour!

The prices, wow, I’ve travelled most of Thailand & the prices in the restaurant & bar are matching five star prices. Then tax is added. It’s a shame, because apart from that the resort is amazing.

Loved having our own little bungalow on the beach. Not many people there so very private and quiet. The meals at the restaurant were great. An excellent place to rest & read over the weekend. Good for families. Enjoyed the kayaks and the pool.

Not many staff could speak English so multiple mistakes were made on our food orders, especially room service.

The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. You can borrow kayaks and surf planks to use in the sea. They also have cute cats chilling with you on the deck chairs and in the bedroom if you invite them.

The room we got looked so old, it was dirty with dust and we found cockroaches in the bathroom.

Private beach... Pet friendly. Restaraunt was nice, casual. It is a quiet place to really get a way From everyday crowd. The beach offers a clean beautiful view and terrific sunset.

No 7 11 close by... Not hotel fault. Bring your snacks with you!

Fabulous location right on the beach with peace and tranquility. Splendid views, large suite rooms, large pool overlooking the sea. Great breakfast and dinner at the restaurant.

It would be better if prices on the menu are inclusive of taxes and service charges.
