Great location on beach with nice bar and good restaurant. Staff were all terrific and the pool was perfect for cooling off. Seemed to attract mature couples intent on relaxing, and we did.

We booked a large & spacious family bungalow with plenty room inside and out. 1 minute to the sandy beach. Quiet, unspoilt location. Very friendly staff especially female receptionist & restaurant staff. Good breakfast. Happy hour cocktails. We were collected from pier on arrival & taken to boat for departure- all part of the service. This is a quiet area of Koh Mak, which we enjoyed. We also walked across to busier Makhatanee with more choice of restaurants- took about 20 mins, & we were glad we took the torches provided in our bungalow!

Bungalow needs a little TLC, especially the bathrooms which both had cracked sinks.

As a family of 5 we had an amazing stay in the deluxe family bungalow. It was beautiful, spacious + clean, next to the lovely pool + right on the most beautiful beach ever. The staff were lovely, friendly + helpful. The breakfast was excellent, as was the all the food. There's a lovely beach bar which does happy hour + a small shop. Koh Mak is a quiet island + was how I remember Thailand being 25 years ago. This was out favourite stay during our recent trip + we hope to return some day. Thankyou Koh Mak Resort

I didn't like having to leave.

Wonderful resort. We had a room beach front, just 20-30 meters from the water's edge, in the night was pleasant falling asleep with the sound of the waves on the beach. The beach is probably the best of the island. The room is cleaned every day (the towels are changed daily but the sheets didn't, we stayed 5 nights). The staff has been very friendly and lovely with our baby and us. They also helped me to fix a wheel of my trolley bag that was broken durung the transfer.

Some facilities and services in the resort were not available, staff told us that werer closed because of low season, but it was not declared before, when booking the services were declared to be available. Some stuff in the room was quite broken, when rainning strong some water come inside from the windows, but they were working to renew the bungalows near to our, so probably they will renew also our.

Fab location right by the pier. Very peaceful. Lovely to be able to walk to the sea in a few steps. Nice to find 4 bottles of water in the fridge on arrival. We loved the Pineapple Dessert Bar. Great to have kayaks to rent. We paddled across to Ko Kham rather than pay 350 for the boat trip. Stunning birdwing butterflies on the flowers outside our bungalow.

The shower pressure was poor. No bedside table even though there was space for one. No soap provided (although other toiletries). Safe not the easiest to use. Breakfast was OK but not great. Very much about the fruit which I didn't want. Staff seemed very confused about the coffee and called everything a cappuccino. Would have been better if jugs of hot milk and coffee provided so we could do our own. (as at Klong Prao Resort). Pool looked awful so we didn't use it but sea was lovely so no great loss. Dining space was nothing special.

The resort is perfectly located in a beautiful beach. The bungallows are spacious, comfortable, the air conditioning works well and the shower is good. Everything was clean.

Breakfast is poor, with little variety. The bread, fruit and the few pancakes would disappear quickly, taking a long time (and some requests)to be replaced. The staff, although very kind and helpful struggled to speak in any language but thai, which led to many misunderstandings, especially with orders at the restaurant.

Everything was perfect,,we spent 5 days there in 1st week of October only 2 bungallow were occupied,,empty beach,,empty resort in low season,,lovely couple served good breakfast of choice for us ,,,will go back ASAP!!

The view is even better than on the picture and the rooms are just enough for what you need as you won't spend so much time in your room anyway. The staff is awesome, very helpful and caring. The breakfast is served from 7 to 10 am with American and Thai styles. The menu is very large too if you don't feel like hanging out. They serve cocktails on the beach and the music Playlist is quite nice too.

There is one thing I wish they had told me as I checked in though: that there were sand flies on the beach. I would have been more careful. So come prepared with some repellent spray. But apart from that, it is the perfect place to relax. I'll come back, I will for sure

Almost like a dream! Great house and bungalow next to the quiet and beautiful beach. If we knew, we would have stayed longer! Best breakfast I have experienced in Thailand yet. Easy to take a boat over to amazing Koh Kham 🙏

The very warm and friendly staff were SO welcoming, helpful and lovely. It was super clean with staff working hard daily to keep the beach, gardens and surroundings tidy and clean. The location was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. I loved the family atmosphere among the staff and really felt happy to support Ko Mak's Trash Hero community project - LOVE the care taken to reduce ecological impact on Ko Mak.
