A very small, relaxed resort on the beach in quiet surroundings with grass, plants and shady trees between the buildings. A small restaurant and beach bar with just enough sun beds and shade. Sadly we didn’t have one of the lovely sea view bungalows, we were in one of a block four rooms at the back, a good room but lacking privacy. There were good restaurants and a supermarket very close. We had direct access to the sea and we were often the only people in it!

The owner played rather loud beat music in the restaurant and beach area which put us and others off from eating and relaxing there. Our room had large sliding glass doors and faced another the same which meant we had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. There weren’t any comfortable chairs provided for us to sit outside our room. The sandflies and the rubbish on the beach adjoining the property, cleaning this as well as their own beach would enhance the look of the property.

They are basic but spacious cabins with amazing views; the location cannot be beat. You're right on the water with soft sand at your door. The beach is well taken care of with plenty of chairs and sunbeds for all the guests. The water is crystal clear with views of the little islands close by. The staff are helpful and kind and will do their best to make your stay easy by arranging boats, taxis, bike and golf cart rentals. Happy hour is a great time to enjoy cocktails while watching the sunset. It's also within easy walking distance of several good restaurants and cafes for a variety of options. I would definitely book again.

There could be a little more attention to comfort such as more pillows and better bath towels.

We stayed for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year in a garden view room. The room was very clean, with air con, fridge and hot shower. The restaurant serves really good food at reasonable prices and the bar is perfect for sunset. A huge thank you to Sandie, Chow (sorry, wrong spelling!) and Mom for looking after us so well and last but not least to little Island for keeping us entertained! 😂 We will miss you all xx PS they also have the friendliest dogs on the beach

Fantastic for the price! Very good beach for swimming. The bar is one of the nicest on the island. The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. Walking distance for good options of restaurants and minimart. The nicest dogs you'll ever meet.

Very minor things only - the kayak is not free, but it is not clearly stated there is a small fee per time of usage.

A little paradise in paradise with a beautiful and clean beach. The owner and the entire staff are friendly and we felt immediately welcome. The bungalows were spacious with a great view and we loved the little terrace. Also they have a good kitchen and the drinks are well mixed. Renting a scooter was very uncomplicated.

A nice, basic bungalow on a beautiful natural beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Location excellent with short walk to local bars/restaurants in best area of Koh Mak in my opinion. All in all a very nice place but a few extras would have made it perfect.

Sand flies! - not the fault of resort ( beach in front was regularly raked). However walks along beach resulted in numerous bites which was the only thing that spoilt our time in Koh Mak. Bed was a bit hard but par for the course in Thailand. Indian food nice if a little expensive. Kettle in room would have been good but tea/coffee served in resort restaurant if required.

The location, the vast sandy beach , the sunsets and happy hour. Close to street food, restaurants, massage and convenient stores. The villa was perfect with daisies on the towels, big comfy bed and tucked in the trees like a jungle. I cried with joy when the taxi dropped me off.

Breakfast was a bit expensive.

You can easily relax here, it's right on the beautiful quite beach. Location is perfect, close to restaurants and the shop. Bungalow is not the new one but it's clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

They don't clean the rooms every day, which if fine for us, but it would be good if they empty the trash and provide the water.

Perfect location, close to a beautiful beach and within walking distance of most activities on the island – bars, restaurants, etc. The receptionist was very helpful, arranging a taxi to and from the pier as well as a motorbike rental for us. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and quiet at night. A great place to stay – highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay there very much. Perfect location. Super nice staff. Very good food (go for the seafood pizza). Yes there are sandflys and mosquitos but there are plenty options to protect yourself as well. We did not have any problems with both. Hopefully it was not our last visit
