We LOVED our stay at Cococape and WISH we knew how amazing it really was before and spent more of our vacation here. The suite was AMAZING with lots of space - it was comfortable and cosy. The balcony was large, with a cosy hammock. The pier was the highlight of our stay and being able to snorkel there was a GREAT touch. The staff were fun, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best out of all our stays in Thailand.

We loved the suite but the bathroom didn't have a closed roof, therefore we had to lock the doors to the bathroom from the bedroom when we were sleeping. This also made us not want to use the jacuzzi bath as bugs could come in etc. Stairs up to the suite were tricky.

They have Laser and Hobie cat sailing boats to rent! Beautiful little spots (hammocks, sun loungers, big rocks to sit on, etc.) that enabled a very relaxing way to hang out watching the sailboats and sunsets. Excellent value for money especially when you factor in the complimentary breakfast and free taxi shuttle to the Ao Nid (Boonsiri) pier. But excellent value for money just based on the bungalow and property too. Super unique and enjoyable pool. Just wish the pool was open later to cool off in after dinner (they currently close to pool at 6 pm which seems super early to me for a pool that isn't lifeguarded anyway). Off the end of the pier, they also have a sunken motorcycle, golf cart, and car along with some coral nurseries that are fun to snorkel around when the water visibility is good. Just watch out for the sea urchins.

The paint on the pool is starting to peel which is a tad bit unsightly but currently not a big problem.

We returned to Cococape for the second time after our first stay in 2018, and it's still as good as we remembered. We love Koh Mak because of its unspoiled nature with not many tourists or loud bars. It is super peaceful and proper slow-life. We went for the 2 bedroom suite again, which we did not regret. The view from the balcony is amazing, the living space is plenty for a large family but since there was only 2 of us it felt huge. This place has been opened for over 20 years so you can expect certain things that shows sign of old age but we don't mind as it adds to the character of the place. The bit we love the most is the location of this resort, it situated on the best side of the island with clean beach and very quiet surrounding. We spent most of our time by Blue Pearl bar, as most people would! All the staff there are friendly and kind. The food at their restaurant was delicious, we ate there several times during our stay. They have some friendly dogs at the resort, which were super cute and they don't generally bother you but they were all approachable. Bar staff were amazing and entertaining. You can choose so many activities to do from the resort, such as moped rental, kayak, private boat island hopping, paddleboard, snorkelling, etc. You can even get a massage at the resort. Local shops and cafes were also walkable distance. We love this place and would definitely return again in the future.

The water pressure between 8-9am can be a bit low to non-existent when most guests use their bathrooms all at once but other times are fine. We couldn't get the hot water to work in neither the bathrooms so we had to accept cold showers but it wasn't too bad. If you switched off the aircon during the day, it would dampen the bedroom and bathroom where you'd find water dripping down walls and ceiling due to humidity so it's best to leave the aircon on at all times. The fridge was old but work fine. Not sure on other rooms but the tiled floor on our suite balcony can be extremely slippery when wet so you'd need to be careful after it had been raining. Shame that the swimming pool was closed for maintenance during our stay (I think Aug-Oct) but I believe it's now reopened.

Lovely resort with lots of character. Pool was brilliant and amazing snorkelling just off the pier. Cocktails at sunset was amazing.

As it was green season, breakfast was an additional charge - not much choice but tasty.

The beach is dependent on the tide, but the pier allows you to swim anytime. The water, fish and coral around the pier is the best we’ve seen. Very friendly staff, Bask at the pier bar is a legend. Decor in the room is appropriate for the island. We hired a golf cart from reception very easily, this was a must to see the island.

Unfortunately, the food at the restaurant wasn’t the best. But the breakfast was good. The bath wasn’t useable, just very high walls to get into shower.

The property is located on the North side of the island. It’s not a big resort which is great. Our bungalow was nestled on a hill among the trees with a gorgeous sea view. The bar on the pier has a lovely spot where you can enjoy a gorgeous sunset.

There was a bit of a poopy smell in the bathroom. Not sure where it was coming from exactly. The steps to reach the bungalow are a bit high so could be complicated for people with knee issues.

The location of the place is absolutely stunning, especially the bar! You can go swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing from the deck. The breakfast is quite nice and the food I had in the restaurant was also very good! The staff is really helpful and can help organize transportation.

* Unfortunately, the rooms are not well kept up and cleaned. With a little paint, maintenance, and cleaning, this would have been the coolest place I've stayed on the island. * You should also keep in mind that it is just next to the forest, so frogs and other animals are normal to be around. The bathroom is open - so the animals can also "come in". I think it gives a true island vibe, but some of the insects should have been cleaned (but as mentioned, the cleaning was not very good) * The place is not easy to reach without taxi or motorcycle, so you can be a bit "stuck".

The architecture and space were planned very well. Beautiful deck with great view. Pool layout was excellent and interesting.

Wish the wind had died down but not the Hotels fault for that. Also , I know Thai beds are all hard but as mostly foreign guests so maybe think about better, softer beds. Hotel was more expensive than most.

Very nice view of the sea and the pool from the deluxe room, cozy balcony, the pier is very nice and there are many sitting spaces next to the sea. The beach access is quite small but not an issue at all. Breakfast is good and staff are very nice. You can rent a bike at the hotel and they send a shuttle to pick you up at the pier :) Happy overrall

The pool area was lovely and the rooms were nice. Good WIFI.

The food selection in the restaurant was not great and everything was deep fried. The hotel is at the bottom of a steep hill and there is no free shuttle bus up it which would make life easier. You also couldn't order food at the jetty bar and if you ordered at the restaurant you had to collect it yourself. The 'lake' was ugly and dirty and needs to be revamped.
