A great spot to position yourself for a night or two before/after the ferry to/ from Kho Chang. This was a long shot bet that worked out well for us. We had a non-refundable, last-minute reservation on KC but had little idea how easy it would be to get the ferry there. The ferry doesn't offer reservations. (We had a car.) So we booked at Lomtalay for a night because it's only 2 km from the ferry docks. Big win. It was a pleasant spot with its own little beach, a decent breakfast delivered at 7:30 and sweet staff. Our room was newly reno'd and had comfy beds, a kettle and a fridge. We drove to the docks after check in to see what was what - long lineup at 16:00. So, we decided to get there early the next morning and voila! right after our breakfast got on an 8 a.m. ferry with zero wait time. Oh, yes, nice little restaurant for dinner about 400 steps across the road.

Only one staffer seemed to speak much English and we had to hunt around a bit to find him. He was helpful tho' when we did. Also if you are phobic about or just afraid of dogs, there are dogs at the adjacent property who are territorial and persistent. Didn't bother us at all but if dogs are an issue, you'll want know. It isn't the Lomtalay's fault and they do make an effort to warn you about them.

For an overnight stay before we went to Koh Chang it was very convenient for being able to get to the ferry terminal. The property was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I think it was a family run resort which gave it a personal feel and the owner arranged to collect us from the bus station and take us to the resort which was very helpful and appreciated. We would certainly go back. Thank you

Most amazing and surprising location, so quiet and remote. We really enjoyed our one night stopover, might be a bit too quiet for more than a weekend. Special mention to Yo for his hospitality and availability, he went above and beyond. The food delivery service was fantastic for the price, we had dinner on our front deck.

There were no chairs in the room, only on the balcony, or anywhere to lay out our suitcases. There was no wardrobe for clothes. We had to remember to turn on the hot water before our showers.

It was clean and located close to the pier for the ferry

The pillows were to hard, lack of English from staff so very difficult to communicate, there is a lot of stray dogs roaming just outside the door. Personally I didn’t mind but my partner doesn’t like dogs due to a bad experience so was a little more uncomfortable.

The proprietor 's son was waiting for me at Trat airport and transported me to Lomtalay. I didn't need dinner so declined the offer to buy me some in from village. The room was very peaceful and I was able to get 16hrs sleep, catching up after my long flight, so was fresh and ready for my ferry to Koh Chang the next day. Great little stop over, no hassle, nice people.

We stayed here with our 2 young children on the way to Koh Chang. We arrived late at night, and the staff was very accommodating. We planned to leave early morning, but ended up staying and playing in the garden and sea until after lunch time. Highly recommend as a stop to Koh Chang.

Beautiful view from cabin, breakfast waiting at your door in the morning and wonderful staff.

Nothing negative from the accommodation, but there was a child crying in a nearby cabin or outside for a couple of hours around 11pm. Made it impossible to sleep.

Beautiful place and so peaceful. Loved it. Clean. Friendly staff. No restaurant but they help you to order food. Breakfast came on a plate to the room in the morning. They fixed taxi to the ferry for 100 Baht. Walking is abt 2 km.

Very good value for the price, it's a nice place to stay in on your way to Koh Chang if you are late for the last ferry (that was our case). The breakfast is very basic, but giving the price I wouldn't expect to have breakfast at all))

Very peaceful and quiet location. It was difficult to find food. Don't walk as you'll get chased by dogs. Order delivery and if they don't speak English get staff to order for you.
