Good location in a quiet area next to a park and lake. Get a room with a lake view (really nice). The hotel is not far from the city centre (5 min drive) Hotel parking is easy (right out front). The room has everything you would expect. The hotel doesn't have a bar or room service, but you can get beer, spirits, snacks and ice at a self-pay area next to reception and sit outside with a nice cool beer and lake view. There's a self-service laundry which we found really useful

Check-in was fast and well organised. Room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Free genius buffet breakfast was really good containing a good mix of Thai and western cuisine. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Property is located a 5 minute drive from the CBD so was very quiet while still allowing access to nearby entertainment and shopping facilities.

Everything was great…second time here for 4 nights. Extra large comfortable king bed with both firm and soft pillows. Oversize shower, good pressure and heat. Balcony overlooking lake with seating for two and table. Very good breakfast. Very nice and accommodating employees. Off the beaten path, so no noticeable noise. The only place that we will stay in Udon Thani.

No sports channel…no big deal.

A very nice, almost boutique style, mid sized hotel. Set in large grounds fronting a small lake, it's quiet and secluded, both a positive and negative. Room was very large, with a large comfortable bed and a chaise lounge for relaxing. Though a 2 person room, could easily accommodate a 3rd. Breakfast was fine, if not a little thai centric. Better than many other hotels of similar ranking. Though not sampled, the restaurant and bar looked to have a good selection of dishes and beveridges to suit most tastes.

The negative to the location is that you have to navigate through a number of tiny sois to get there. Getting into town is quickest across a difficult busy intersection with no traffic lights, so long way around often easier. 2 very minor issues. The water supply uses a pump, which had difficulty maintaining pressure in the shower. Maybe too small for the purpose? Though eggs and sausage were available for breakfast, there were no baine maries, so were cold. Cold fried eggs are not that appetising.

Feels like a luxury hotel for the price of a budget accommodation. We were really content with this choice. Within Udon Thani a good, quiet location, with a rather pleasant view. The room was very comfortable, no complaints. Good breakfast buffet even though at the upper end of the price range compared to what they offered (we hadn't booked breakfast in advance so we decided to book it on addition after first having a look first on the buffet in the morning).

For the high quality coffee from the machine at the breakfast buffet they wanted to charge us a considerable extra amount. Included in the breakfast was only filter coffee from the pot (on the first day), and even just hot water and instant powder on the second day. Since the breakfast was not cheap (in relation to the rather cheap price for the luxury room), this was somewhat annoying.

Room # 301 ~ 1 x Night with Breakfast ~ Booked via Booking.Com Our 2nd stay here ( 1st stay was pre-covid time ) Early check in was much appreciated. Everything in the room was working and the bed very large and very soft with lovely large pillows. The hotel is situated in an extremely quiet location - it's very peaceful here. Breakfast was a relaxed and Yummy experience - Eggs cooked how you want. We will rebook and come and stay again when we find ourselves back up this way.... The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. We stayed in a Double lake view. Breakfast was plentiful with many things to choose from considering its not a large hotel. Air-conditioned works well. Very clean room.

It's a taxi ride to shops and restaurants but we had a car so it didn't bother us. On the booking site it mentioned it had massages but it did not.

The room including the toilet was clean, the view was quite nice with a small lake in front, the staff were very kind and helpful, and the breakfast was delightful. If we visit Udon again we will definitely choose to stay at Brown House Blu Monkey.

On booking , the hotel advertised that has shuttle to and from airport, but when we call, no shuttle, we need to take taxi 300bath back and forth total 600 baths Take the advertise out
