The staff were really helpful and tried their best to accommodate English travellers. The beds were comfortable, and the room was ok for 3 of us in a family room. Hot chocolate here is lovely, and the meal time was good with a decent portion size. The pool is relaxing. The breakfast was a little bit akward, with us not knowing what each food was and was more like dinner. However, the last 2 days of us being here, they did put English labels, and I felt like they really made an effort to make our stay more enjoyable. I don't think they get many English travellers here.

There was no fruit available at breakfast time. However, they did put fruit out on the last 2 days of us being here, which was lovely.

Staff were very polite and courteous. Plenty of choices at breakfast and plenty of food if you like a good start to the day. We had a couple of evening meals in the hotel and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We had a cracked shower head in our room which we reported to reception when we went for a walk. Came back after a couple of hours and it had been replaced with a new one. No complaints about the room, clean and comfortable.

The hotel was probably 5 stars when it was built but it's showing its age in a few places. Mainly the dining room and the pool. Some cracked tiles round the pool edging but the pool was clean. Bit noisy outside the hotel due to roadworks but no problem at night. This is not the place to use as a base to explore Istanbul. It's a good hour by taxi. There are buses but it would involve several changes with other buses, trams or the metro.

On arrival, we were met by the guest relations manager Mariam, who was extremely helpful with my 3 year old daughter who was distressed after the journey. She got her cool drinks and found her a quiet place to rest while we checked in. The staff also allowed us to check in two hours early, which was so helpful as we had travelled from another hotel in Istanbul. Mariam checked in with us throughout the stay, and was so friendly and helpful - we really appreciated her customer service!! The rooms are large and decorated well. The beds are soft and comfortable and all the staff we encountered were helpful and ensured we got what we needed. Breakfast was excellent. There was plenty of choice including hot food, pastries, fruit, cereal, freshly cooked pancakes or omelettes, juices and hot drinks. It was nice to have the option of the rooftop pool, it meant I didn’t need to be so worried about suncream for my small child as it is surrounded by glass. It’s only several minutes walk to the beach, and there’s plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby. There are also many children’s playgrounds which was great. It looks beautiful at night all lit up.

Sometimes the room didn’t get cleaned until very late in the day - like 4 or 5pm. This was annoying because often we were trying to get ready to go out, but also wanted the room cleaned. It was cleaned to a high standard - it just needed to be earlier. We also had to buy swim hats for use in the swimming pool which we understood in principle due to hygiene, however this wasn’t enforced and there were sometimes people swimming without them. The pool also had some tiles coming off and needed a bit of maintenance.

We loved the view facing the water on the 7tb floor , staff the male and female at the front dest were absolutely the sweetest seeking out comfort and satisfaction in every way possible after we had a room that was having a bad smell they switched us to a new one gave us the choice to chose

I had a massage and supposedly i was going to the hammam after the lady who gave the massage left me wondering where should i go she totally disappeared not even handing a cup of water or saying bye i was lost in the middle of the rooms i paid for a fancy massage it was ok

Rooms are nice, price is good, has a nice spa…

We had a bottle of alcohol with us and they asked us to leave it at the security and take it before we leave which I have never heard ANYWHERE in the WORLD before… they said they have room service and I can not take my own drink to my room. They send it later to my room with a fruit table as a gesture which is why I rated 9, but why do you make people leave their food and drink at the security? That definitely should be changed.

Very good located facility at the coast of Istanbul, very suitable for combi trip beach-city-business. Great grandeur! However poor maintenance ofcthe building and facilities. Some simply did not work at all, shower partly broke, sheets too short. However next time Istanbul we will book again in that hotel. It is a pity that they maintain not better

We chose the exclusive room for three people and when we got there and saw that the hotel also has sea view rooms, we asked the reception to change our room, there was a boy who said this is impossible but then a very kind girl named arzou fixed the problem for us. Also on our last day during the check-out the reception boy refused to give us our invoice and then again arzou came tho the rescue😅 You're the best arzou Teshekkor

They checked your bags each time you entered in order to try preventing you from bringing any minor snack or drink you bought outside which was kinda silly and is not really normal in accomodations of this level . Especially when all inner premises that serve snacks or drinks close fairly soon.. This didnt happen to me even at strict youth dormitories... Frank to say, they allowed me to "sneak in" some nuts and chocolate bar at the end but I felt a bit inappropriate like a guilty school boy;) The breakfast looked quite copious at first glance but way behind an offer at other similar places elswhere at second look and taste... However. for local cousine "variety" standards it turned to be higher than mediocre after all so my objections are negligible:)

The breakfast was very very rich and very good! You can find a international and a Turkish food ;), and a lot of sweet desserts to. I love it! Near to the beach and near to harbor. It's was my second time in this hotel, and I'll be back;)

I was disappointed with my recent stay at Esar hotel While the staff was friendly, the mattresses and pillows were not supportive and caused me significant back and neck pain. Additionally, the breakfast options were not to my liking. I hope the hotel considers upgrading their bedding and breakfast offerings to improve the comfort and overall experience for their guests.
