The hotel is conveniently situated a very short walk from a transportation hub (buses, train, Marmaray, metro lines) so it is very communicative and has many places where you can grab food within 2 mins walk. The friendly gentleman at the reception is giving you a warm welcome and is willing to help you with things. My room was pleasant and had a view towards the Marmara sea and I found the room very pleasant and the bed amazingly comfortable. Excellent value for money, I strongly recommend!

It can be slightly noisy but for anyone who is used to the urban noise or can ignore it, this is not an issue at all, I certainly didn't find it troublesome.

Everything was really good, especially the staff. Elvin is the one who helped to check in and check out, always made sure that the guests are happy. I am very grateful to him for taking the extra step to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The location is great, I loved the walk to all the points of interest in the old town. The facilities are also fine, the room had everything I needed and it had a very comfortable bed. I definitely recommend staying at this place, it is absolutely worth the price !

Mesut from reception was extremely polite and helpful. Please, raise the salary to him. The guest keeps coming to your hotel because of the personnel like him. I wish him all the best in his life! He is a truly great person! He was the nicest person I met in Turkey. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities like slippers, towels, water, sheets, etc. The metro station is located in a couple of minutes walk. But you can walk to Sultanahmet tourist destination in less than 40 minutes. Even though I had the cheapest room, my expectations were satisfied. The room had downsides but considering the price and the fact that I stayed for only one day, I was satisfied with my experience.

Overall, I had a nice experience staying at this hotel considering I had the cheapest room. However, there is still a little room for improvement. Firstly, the elevator was very noisy and I could not sleep because of it. Moreover, the toilet bowl's flush-out system did not work properly. Finally, people outside the hotel were noisy as well. It was also not too safe to walk on the streets at night. I even saw from the window drunk people screaming at each other. Therefore, I would not recommend staying outside the hotel at night.

Hotel Ümit Yenikapı was a pleasant surprise. The manager/employees were very friendly. For the price, it was really clean—way better than I expected for a budget hotel. It’s also close to the tourist spots, and there are lots of places nearby to grab breakfast. Simple, but it does the job!

Everything, the owner Yalcin was very friendly and the people from the reception too. The room was very clean, room service is also very good, location close to the Metro station, tramway station and the bus station is close too. I would love to come back again and again.
