Hotel manager/ owner was very nice and always helped with a fantastic smile. He treated his guests in a kind special way that allows them to feel comfortable and as part of his family. I was surprised to have been invited to taste his homecooked "mercimek" along with other 2 guests from Mauritius. Everything was so spontaneous that you can't ever experience hospitability from other locals such as Nevalist Hotel. While I'm riting this feedback, they have informed me to pick up my computer charger which I left in the room. Tesekkürler Abi.

Location very close to the city attractions and metro. The owner was very nice. Very convenient price. Overall we had a wonderful week.

The room is not very big but was exactly what we needed (given the low price). Also maybe it would be useful to mention that even though during the day and the evening the area is completely safe because there is continuous trafic on your way to the city center, in the middle of the night maybe it would be safer to choose the longer way to the city center (I think it's a 10 minutes walk instead of maybe 2-3 minutes) in order to avoid going though the pietonal passage which you would usually use during the day.

Had a great and memorable stay the Nevalist Hotel. We were hosted by Fatih and his brother Esser. Fatih was very friendly and Esser’s kindness made our stay even more memorable. He was very attentive to our needs and took great care of us, of my mother specially. We stayed in 2 different rooms during our stay and both rooms were very nice, specially the underground one. It was very spacious and both rooms were clean. They provided us towels and tissue papers. Esser was so nice that We trusted him with our Suitcases when we left for Cappadocia for a few days. Esser even offered us dinner two times, and cooked us nice locals Meals. On our last day, they helped us get a taxi and helped us with our suitcases. The locations was also great, close to the istiklal streets, can go by foot. There are also many little shops close by and close to busstops going both ways I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. A big thank you to Esser and Fatih

Our room was one of the most beautiful and authentic ones I’ve stayed in. You really feel that you are in Istanbul because every detail is close to their culture. The location is great as well, even though from the window you can see the street, it’s not too much noisy + you can get to all the points from the bus station that is 3 min walk away from the apartment. Stuff is really really sweet as well!!!

It’s not that I didn’t like it because it didn’t confuse us, but since the building is old you can easily hear noise from other rooms and I think it depends on other people how quiet and polite they are. In our case everything was perfect

The property is right in the centre of the city and Istiklal street was only a few mins walk. The bus station was also very close so transport was also sorted. The rooms were very neat and clean. Above all we felt the warmth and camaraderie of the host Fatih and his brother Eser who were very welcoming and always looking out for us. They were like brothers and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay!

Only down side is there is no elevator but that is not a deal breaker as everything else about Nevalist was such a great experience for us.

Clean, comfortable, close to the sights. No street noise since the room faces the courtyard, which we appreciated.

The owner informed me the day of our check in that they double booked our room and they could only offer us one of the basic rooms (we booked one of the fancier rooms). I understand it was a mistake, but we were still disappointed as we were looking forward to the nicer room. Still, the staff handled the situation as best they could. The location next to the highway also wasn’t great. While it wasn’t necessarily an unsafe neighborhood, I still wouldn’t have felt comfortable walking around alone at night there.

I really enjoyed the Ottoman style of the interior. It gave me the feeling of traveling. I also liked the central location of the hotel, yet it was still a little bit of the beaten track so we weren't in the middle of tourist bonanza.

The lack of attention to detail. Things that were broken. Not enough closet space for two people on a week's holiday. The smoke that came in through the window from people standing outside smoking.

It’s a great stay for those who want something different. A 140 years old mansion turned into a family run hotel, with a bed and breakfast feel. The owner was very helpful, the property was beautiful, location was excellent, and the price was very reasonable.

It is an old house, so do expect things to be cranky and rustic. You might also hear people above you.

The location is perfect to walk around the city. What I like most are the comfy bed and pillow.

You can hear everything from the next room. I couldn't sleep on my last night , as the room next door kept talking and laughing and making noise all night.

The place is clean, beautiful and very well located. I was really tired after my trip and Eser made me feel welcome, comfortable and right at home. It was a wonderful experience.

It would have been nice to know that there was no reception 24h. Probably booking.com’s fault.
