My stay at Petek Pansiyon in Fenerbahçe, Istanbul, was absolutely delightful. The room we stayed in was cozy and immaculately clean, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring Istanbul. One of the highlights of our stay was the location. Situated in the charming neighborhood of Fenerbahçe, the pension offered easy access to local cafes, restaurants, and shops, allowing us to experience the authentic Istanbul lifestyle. The proximity to the waterfront was also a big plus, providing stunning views and pleasant evening walks. Overall, Petek Pansiyon exceeded our expectations with its excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and prime location. As someone who lived about 30 years in Istanbul, I can definitely recommend this pension, since it preserves İstanbul's lost local atmosphere. Spacious and clean, with lots of vintage local furniture and good communication, this is now the top one of our favorite places to stay in Istanbul.

Very comfortable and spacious apartments, have stayed twice in different rooms and both very comfortable. The only reason I gave a single smile for the staff is because apart from the check in I never saw anyone - not that it was needed at all to be fair as everything I required was already in the room.

For me I actually liked the peace and quiet not having a TV but some people may want one and there was no TV in either of the rooms I stayed in. I had no complaint at all.

Top location and stone throw distance to all the cafes & restaurants , owned by Yavuz who is very helpful and accommodating. The place is full of antique furnitures and good art as well as the rooms are modern and clean . Very interesting concept, the history , the past and the presence combined together . It is located on the street where I grew up so that was a nostalgic and emotional stay for me. Rooms have pretty much everything you need and designed with a good taste of an artist . Highly recommended….

Staff can’t speak a single word of English for foreign visitors so be prepared to communicate in body language when Yavuz is not around .

The eclectic vibe of the rooms and the hotel was absolutely unique, a perfect blend of style and comfort that made the experience unforgettable. Despite being so close to everything, the hotel maintained a serene and quiet atmosphere, which was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Its location couldn’t have been better, with all the key attractions and amenities just a short walk away. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay. The place definitely has an authentic feel. It's very clean, but the renovations are a bit dated. The water pressure was good, the wifi signal was strong, and the bed was comfortable. The view of the garden is nice, and the are a lot of cats napping around which is definitely a plus. The kitchen is well equipped and only lacks a couple of things.

The bedroom needs a blackout curtain/a blind - it gets super bright in the morning, and the current curtains don't help. The choice of pillows could be a bit better. The bed cover is too small for two people to fit comfortably. A toaster would be appreciated in the kitchen. Bathrooms require some freshening up to feel a bit more modern.

The hotel is located in a fantastic neighborhood with many restaurants, cafés and supermarkets accessible by foot. I have been to Istanbul before, but this was my first time at Fenerbahçe, which I found a most pleasurable place to stay if one is looking for a more relaxed stay away from the hectic touristic center of the city. The common areas of the hotel are decorated in a vintage style, but the room itself was very comfortable, modern and well equipped. The hotel is managed directly by its owner, who is a very kind and accommodating person. He upgraded our room because we were traveling with our toddler, so as to make us more comfortable. Similarly, he allowed as a late checkout with not questions asked. We felt that the whole experience was very human and quite different from the impersonal and homogenized way one is treated in chain hotels.

Location very close to several restaurants overlooking the marina (although not very close to the old city if that's what you're in Istanbul for). Generous size and comfort of the rooms, including aircon. Efforts by non-English speaking proprietor to assist us whenever and however he could. Value-for-money.

The general upkeep and maintenance could be improved ... one or two loose plug points, cracked tiles, peeling paint (although the overall impression was fine, bright and cheerful). The key rings to which the room keys are attached are bulky and heavy ... a real nuisance to carry around in your pocket. Could do with more cupboard space (some rooms had none).

Beautiful rooms, building and overall set up. Great location, too, right by the sea and a short walk from lots of lovely restaurants and parks etc.

Would have appreciated a water filter system in the lobby/public area, because often I came back late without having been able to find an open shop and there was no staff or bottled water available, which was problematic since you can't drink the tap water.
