Well presented, with modern high quality fittings. Staff were courteous and helpful. Semi-secure underground parking on site (shared with adjacent convention centre), at a cost of 1500yen a night. Lots of meal options, although I didn’t dine. Free tram tickets upon arrival. Close to local attractions and amenities. I was given an 18th floor room with a great view.

The minibar was empty upon arrival, despite a price list being placed in the room. I was also unable to work out the TV (it was stuck on a tourist promotional channel), and I couldn’t find any instructions on how to use it. AC had been set to 26C prior to my arrival, despite being the middle of summer. My IHG membership also still displayed my old name.

This is a top-notch 4* hotel with an amazingly friendly staff. Location is great, with an airport shuttle bus stop right in front of it. My room was on the top floor and very quiet, including the air conditioner. Room size is big for Japan, with a great view. Bed is very comfortable as well as pillows. Room service was great, spotlessly clean. No bad smell anywhere in the building.

The hotel is a little old. Furniture is outdated but well-maintained. Sun curtains were torn from behind.

Location and view is great, restaurant and especially breakfast. If you want to try Toyama special seafood, i recommend to add breakfast to your booking. Famous squids, fish, seaweed. Only white shrimps you will have to find in some other place. Staff is nice, super well trained and friendly. Bar on 19th floor is must visit

Very confusing reservation by booking.com. I lost the first reservation as I didn't realise I was suppised to confirm my credit card!

The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. The room was very comfortable in all ways. The beds were big and the pillows soft. The views across to the castle were pleasant. The set meal on floor 5 and the breakfast were excellent. The breakfast was the best in Japan.

The pillows were too soft. It would’ve been good to have a firmer pillow available.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel room was on the older side but was clean. We had a massage chair in our room which was super useful after whole day of walking. The hotel is located across from the castle and is close to the train station and the Kansui park, which was great. Overall, the stay was great and we wouldn’t mind visiting again.

Hotel room was a bit older and parking was not 24 hours even though we checked in later and paid hotel parking.

We drove by car from Tokyo. Coming to Toyama was a longtime dream for me as a resident in Japan for 17 years. Everything was so smooth. Location perfect. staff very kind. High rise bedroom with decent view. Easy to pick up the car and go to the beach or mountain anytime and enjoy local evening dinner.

As a foreigner, I do speak Japanese. But at first Japanese would not know. So, when I am with my friend, who is a Japanese woman, staff tend to address to her only without even looking at me. I think it is linked with language, and staff most likely think I do not speak Japanese, and they do not necessarily speak good English, or it is status quo between Japanese people. I think this is not a hotel in Toyama issue, but that would be appreciated if the staff could more freely address to foreigner in Japanese and English. Because you never know, a foreigner like me might have been in Japan forever and speak Japanese !! :)

Location is at center of the city, 1 km from train station & hotel situated opposite to toyama castle....I also visited to Snow corrider area Mt. Tateyama through alphine kurobe route from toyama train station......ana crowne plaza hotel is really good place to stay. The hotel staffs were very kind and ready to help at all time with smile and polite.

Very friendly staff, very clean and comfortable beds.

Decor is a little dated, so it could do with a refresh. However, everything was in good working order. Could have better facilities for people to store their bike.

The staff is the star of this hotel. They go out of their way to make sure guests are well served. During my stay, I had several requests for extra service and the staff delivered all of them.

It rained for 4 days straight during my stay at the hotel. But, I suppose they couldn’t control the weather.
