The location of the Sable was excellent, providing convenient access to several events throughout the city of Chicago.

I recently stayed at the Sable and had a mixed experience. On the first day, I had to change rooms because the A/C in my corner end suite was making a loud noise. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the A/C filter hadn't been changed in some time. Maintenance changed the filter and made some adjustments, but the problem persisted. After much discussion, we were moved to a standard room. The new room was quiet and clean, and I appreciated that my bill was adjusted with a discount for the first night. Overall, the Sable is a beautiful property with much to offer its guests.

Outside of the below One (somewhat medium to big) irritation, everything else was great! Great location and room. But… I paid extra for a room with a FREE breakfast but it turns out the breakfast was NOT FREE and you ONLY get a $18 Credit (per person). That’s just wrong and also False Advertising. I mean an average meal there was about $20. And another thing: They added a 18% gratuity on the bill already and we were only 2 people.

I walked to the hotel, using google map navigation. It does not tell me that I can go through the Navy Pier (indoor). Instead, I had to walk outdoor in snow in the night (along E Grand Ave). It was freezing...

Booking on line from far away can be a lottery sometimes but as the Hyrox event i was competing in was on Navy Pier we decided to go for Sable. We stayed 11 days and it was an absolute delight. The corner room was a great choice and the views of the harbour and city meant we had this wonderful vista all the while we were in the room. Location was amazing for the pier, the city, entertainment, transport and the beaches. Yes, it was expensive but sometimes the result is worth the money. Chicago did not disappoint We promised ourselves we would come back

The minor glitch when we arrived was thankfully overcome as the room as there was some problem with getting the payment via Booking.com. Thankfully reception took a chance and held the room (could have been a disaster!). If there is a slight grumble, by staying so long we sort of got out of synch with the maid service (which was very good). But by the time the other rooms with shorter stays had been cleaned we'd often be in the room getting ready late afternoon. But that's a small point as we were superbly looked after.

The view! My gosh it was so perfect watching all the boats from the window. Loved the location. Room was spectacular, staff was great. Would recommend for a weekend away. We really liked that you needed to use the key card at all times to get to the rooms.

The beds were very uncomfortable. I didn't like the fact I had the do not disturb sign hanging from the doorknob and they cleaned the room anyway. We never get room cleaning when we travel and I wasn't asked about it at check in. Room was not ready when we got there. No problem, they said they'd call/text when it was. We did not get any notification when it was. We had to ask at the front desk ourselves.

The location is super for Chicago, walking distance from all the parks, downtown and public transportation. Also, as it is on the lake you have great view of the city. Staff was nice and efficient, and the bedroom was very clean and comfortable.

Price was on the very high side, but I must point out that I was there for the Chicago Marathon, this hotel is walking distance from the start and for sure this influenced the prices for this period. The breakfast is nice with several options but works in a very strange way. The hotel provides you a voucher per day of 18$ and then is up to you (ended always paying around 28$ in total. Is kind of annoying not having the breakfast included and that is it... Also, contrary to most of the hotels in the World, in the day of the Marathon the restaurant for breakfast opened t same hour and therefore the voucher goes to trash. They should think about having a special breakfast time and even menu in the marathon day...

Location was perfect; one can't get much better than staying ON Navy Pier! Embarking on lake and river cruises was as easy as stepping out the door or taking a short Uber trip down the block. The view of the city and lake from our 6th floor corner room was stunning. Staff were friendly and accommodating for the most part. Room and bathroom clean and well-supplied.

For a hotel that commands luxury prices, I would have loved late-night room service so I could access caffeine-free herbal tea at night. (The only tea provided is green tea). However, this is hardly a deal-breaker; we will definitely be back!

Location, fireworks, cleanliness and great shower. Minor issue with the TV that maintenance responded to in 5 minutes and rebooted it. Bought the breakfast package and was worth it as the Lirica restaurant had excellent options. We live 20 miles away and for what the area has to offer we’ll definitely be back for the fun of Navy Pier.

Minor issue was for someone walking from an off site parking garage, the directions pointing to the lobby entrance could have been clearer. Maybe we missed them.

View from room excellent as were furniture and fittings. Checking in and out easy and efficient with pleasant helpful staff. Bar staff very pleasant and also efficient.

Roof top bar a disappointment. Not as good a view as from our room and staff not very welcoming. Ground floor area between reception and lifts too utilitarian. Realise it was meant to retain the warehouse feel but just felt like a scruffy cold space (except for Tiffany style lit up window which I loved).

We loved our stay from check-in to check-out. The room had a perfect view of the lake (especially at sunrise) and skyline and was clean and modern. There are plenty of sit-down and quick bite restaurants throughout Navy Pier including at least two coffee shops. We appreciated that the hotel felt both part of, and distinct, from all the activity going on at Navy Pier - our room was quiet but there was lots to do just steps away. We stayed there for the Bears game and enjoyed the walk along the lake to and from the game. Parking was easy and we liked that since it was a Navy Pier parking garage and not specific to the hotel, we could leave our car there after check-out.

Nothing, it was a really great stay and I’ve been recommending it to others.
