The breakfasts were excellent.

We didn’t like the fact that the housekeeping staff continuously opened our door or tried to get in throughout the morning albeit we were there for 2 nights. On the morning of departure the same happened albeit we didn’t need to vacate until 12 midday. A Do Not Disturb sign would have been useful.

I was so impressed with our stay. We picked this hotel due to its proximity to the park and ride into Oxford (very handy) and we noted that the hotel generally had very good reviews. I would say that we didn't have the highest of expectations booking this hotel, but we were very pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable our stay was and it was a real highlight of our weekend away. We travelled as 2 adults and our daughter (under 5). In terms of the room, it was very spacious and whilst we didn't spend a great deal of time in the room it was very comfortable. No complaints. In terms of location, it was perfect for a sightseeing trip. Only 10 minutes or less on the bus into town and a 5 minute walk to the park and ride. The bus cost £6 return (pretty good compared to the price of an Uber!). But what really made our stay exceptional were the efficient and friendly staff throughout the hotel. I would have expected the hotel experience to be quite impersonal at such a large hotel chain - but this was not the case at all. We decided to eat in the restaurant and the staff were just amazing, really friendly and attentive, and the restaurant has a very wide menu. The staff were also able to accommodate my wife's wish to watch the FA Cup Semi Final during our meal (although sadly, they couldn't do much about the result!). So I would recommend using the restaurant, particularly if you're traveling with kids. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly and I know that if I were to repeat a trip to Oxford, I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

Really hard to fault, particularly given that the hotel was more economical than a number of local alternatives.

Spacious, clean, comfortable; friendly , helpful staff; good bathroom with bath and non-slip bath mat! Copious and healthy breakfasts. Pleasant lounge areas. Optional entry of housekeepers.

Lack of shelves/ drawers for storage. We had to drape our clothing over the large sofa! Hangers difficult to use as not detachable from their ‘stalks’. Lighting not efficient - attractive but a central ceiling light is essential. Car access not obvious - had to duck under car-park lever a few times… NO EV points on premises. Peartree has just one point, insufficiently signposted.

Staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Kyle was excellent in the restaurant, nothing was too much trouble and he made our evening. Daniel on reception acted immediately when I reported a defect and it was fixed in 20 minutes. Food was really good, hot fresh and attending to use the Academy for our 5 day course was great.

My only criticism was the room lighting was a little dark when I was doing evening assigments for my course but appreciate this would not have been an issue for most people staying and I could have used the numerous seated areas downstairs but chose not to.

Comfortable and clean rooms, quiet, good facilities, good breakfast buffet with huge selection of hot and cold food

Dinner was quite good but we had booked on booking.com for half board for 2 adults and child and no information was available on what this included either on booking.com or holiday inn website. When we arrived for dinner , were told we had only paid for 2 adult dinners and child either had to have child menu or we had to pay (which we did) for extra adult dinner so he could eat from full menu. Have to pay for parking unless have blue badge - had expected it to be free as large site outside main city

It was my 1st time staying at this hotel, in Oxfordshire near peartree park and ride i was greeted with a warm smile and welcome to the Holiday Inn from the lovely ladies on the reception area, I was even more taken back when I went into my room very warm, very comfortable. The only thing I didn't find the lighting wasn't extremely bright, but nevertheless, my stay was outstanding. I literally booked for 2 nights, checked in on the Friday, and by the Sunday, I went back to the Desk. asked if I could have an extension. So I booked in for an extra night, so I checked out on Monday. that alone tells you how relaxed and safe. I felt knowing that I was travelling on my own. I definitely will be booking. My return in the summer. Thank you for making my stay comfortable, relaxing, and overall. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. And not forgetting the manager, John, he was also friendly. Welcoming, and he sat down beside me and we was talking so a big. Thank you to the manager, John.

It's not a criticism, it's just a suggestion. It would be nice if you provide bottle of water.

All the staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful and the room and hotel was attractive (especially with the sparkle of the Christmas decorations and unicorns) clean and smelled good throughout. We loved the location, close to the Park and Ride, which meant no driving after our initial journey from Dorchester

Breakfast was a bit chaotic on Saturday - there didn't seem to be enough resources for the numbers of guests eating, but again the staff were great trying to sort this, the toaster had lots of crumbs in it, and was overworked; which may have been why it didn't brown the toast at all. I was given a password for WiFi , but failed to use it when my phone said the connection was not secure. In Room 306 the toilet flush was very temperamental - I'm sure you'll check that out.

The room was quite spacious, clean with all amenities you expect. Everything was provided in advance I think according to the gender of the guest because I noticed they already put the shaving cream and a blade for me in the bathroom. The bed was super comfortable especially the pillow! The breakfast was super good, variety of hot options. I loved it.

The only issue is the location of the hotel which is too far from the center and you have to spend minimum 50£ to 60£ for a roundtrip to center and there is no direct bus or any public transportation to reduce your cost of transportation.

Modern hotel - we were upgraded so had a big room. Breakfast busy but well organised and generous. Well located if you are driving and want to get to Woodstock or want to use the park and ride.

Really frustrating to have to pay additional money on arrival for parking - it would be so much better if this was included in the room rate. It is quite expensive for what it is and there are no other decent restaurant options within walking distance. You are really really close to the A34 and we could see lorries going past our window. It has become much busier at breakfast and mealtimes since they added further rooms without expanding the dining room.

The room was clean and had a new sofa which was really comfortable The breakfast was great with a wide choice of warm food available scrambled, fried, poached eggs, baked beans hash browns mushrooms cooked to perfection so much variety warm croissants Danish pastries fresh fruit the list goes on Staff were friendly and always on hand to help This location has it all restaurant great food on site with round the clock menu for a great price
