Pleasant staff-owner welcome and guest treatment. A cosy place in an English style house - a short bus ride to the city centre with bus #6, and then also to the train station. Moreover, for the fans of Inspector Morse, this seems to be exatly the street from city centre in which the murder was committted in the first novel, “Last Bus to Woodstock”, which gives extra charm to the locaton for the comossairs. TV worked ok.
There is no elevator in this hotel. There was no safety box, effectively no useful reading bedside light. The bathroom was somehow cold. There was an interruption of wi fi for a while. The place offers no breakfast. The staff was not aware of direct bus to the railway station.

Convenient location for easy travel to the City Centre by bus. Comfortable space with well appointed kitchenette, table, and room to unpack. Larger than many rooms at similar properties. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.
Pre-arrival communication was mostly unhelpful. Numerous mass emails filled my app/inbox. Some content was curious as it seemed to scold people for any unfavorable reviews. I was asked 3 times for the same information, but my questions for the property were not acknowledged or answered. So the comms systems could be improved. If you can navigate the communications, you should be rewarded with a comfortable stay.

A spacious room was available for us when we arrived. Lovely natural light coming through the windows. Our room was facing the street but external noise didn't disrupt us too much. Ours was a very short stay in Oxford, so we didn't spend much time at the Hotel to become familiar with all of its facilities. We booked knowing that it was out of the city centre but we had a car so this did not interfere with our plans. We located a park and pay station which we could use post check out to park the car and bus into the city centre for our walking tour that day. Parking at Marlborough is free but tight spaces to navigate.
Although this was a one night stay for us, we would have a liked a little more information available in the room about Oxford, including information about the bus times / payment etc (ideal for patrons staying longer) and services / walks in the immediate locality.

Gustó · The staff was super kind and helpful. The bedroom was spacious and tidy, and the kitchenette was very helpful. The place has a very nice vibe, as it has a holistic approach, so everything smells nice, and you can even purchase some of their products (bath bombs, scents, natural soaps). Other than that, they provide you with enough delicious toiletries for the stay. Our bathroom had a bath which was very pleasant. I can't recommend enough this place. Plus, the bus to the city centre stops by right in front, which was great for those who don't go by car like us.
The only downside I found was not having a lift, but I understand that this is common for bed and breakfast accommodation, although it was a hassle taking up the luggage.

Location was great as on a road going straight to the city centre with a bus stop just across the street. Anita was wonderful, trying to help me find my way to the house as finding the right bus and the right bus stop got challenging. Room had a window to the side road and you could hear a car passing once in a while, but other than that, it was very quiet, I slept wonderfully. Even if the room was small, there were lots of cupboards and a wardrobe with a full size mirror, a desk, a hair dryer, a small fridge, so I found it had everything I needed for my stay.
I expected the single room to be bigger than what I found it was but really it met my needs perfectly as I had no time to spend there except to sleep at night. I didn't find in the room some special lamp I read that all rooms had.

Comfortable and spacious room with good lighting. Personal welcome upon arrival was appreciated, and free parking is a great touch. Receptionist was able to check us in early which was very convenient! Location is fantastic and well connected to the rest of Oxford, and water pressure and temperature was great.
There are a few hidden charges like the minibar and staying in the car park after check out. The bathroom is a little small but very functional. Other hotels in the area may be cheaper for a comparable offer.

We initially booked 3 nights and extended for one more. The location is perfect to reach the city centre - bus stop is literally one minute away, with several buses available. Short walk to Summertown where you can find a good selection of restaurants, shops and cafes. The room was spacious, beautiful decorated and very clean, comfortable bed, modern bathroom with a great tub & shower combo, toiletries and towels warmer; the mini-kitchen is very helpful for breakfast and light / left-over dinners. Our room had a big window facing the street, and we enjoyed having breakfast every morning, sitting on the comfy chairs and watch the world go by. There is an option to purchase breakfast through the hotel, however, we preferred to stop by a supermarket and pick up some basics. Kavita and Anita are very nice and friendly ladies, and we will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Oxford.

We were in Oxford for a congress. The atmosphere in the hotel very good, it is a family run hotel, and they make you feel like family. They are so friendly! You can ask them anything! Very helpful, they provided us with good information about both the hotel as well as the area and other sightseeiing tips, tips for where to eat, rent a bike, etc. The room and bathroom were large and clean, and cosy, with a frigde and sink qnd microwave . A nice bath and shower; Beds were comfortable, we slept really well. Daily roomcleaning. There are many busses, untill late at night, bring you back to the hotel in 10 minutes from the citycenter. Very convenient, and a quiet place. 5 minutes walk from the hotel brings you to the area 'Summertown' with nice shops, restaurants, bard.
nothing, it was just perfect .

The room was exceptionally quiet, clean, and well-lit, creating a cozy atmosphere. Although the chairs were a bit low for reaching the table comfortably for someone of shorter stature like myself, it did not significantly impact my stay. The highlight was the hospitality; the manager and the reception staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, making me feel right at home. Additionally, the hotel is located in a quiet part of Oxford, yet public transport is within a 2- minute walking distance, and you can reach the city center under a 10-minute bus ride.
One minor inconvenience was the electric socket configuration. The sockets in the room are three-pin, which can make charging your phone or laptop a bit tricky if you have two-pin plugs. It would be helpful if the hotel could provide adapters or have some available for guests who may not bring their own.

A comfortable room, decent in size. Felt safe and secure and the lady checking me in was friendly and welcoming. Good WiFi and a decent sized desk/table. A fridge and herbal teas on offer (rare in the 8 previous accommodations I'd stayed in!). Lovely walk into Oxford - a fair distance, and I couldn't sort the buses, but fortunately I love walking so the 3kms was ok and relatively flat. Really nice walk along the canal if you take Elizabeth Jennings Way into the City Centre. Grateful for the free parking - limited parking in the car park on site, but there is street parking on the street around the side (and that was right out the front of my room).
Mattress and pillows were not the comfiest and no top sheet on the bed! Only a bottom sheet and doona/quilt/duvet. This means when you are warm (those polyester coverings are warm) you cannot toss it back as then you have no covering over you! Why don't people use top sheets?? Check-out is 10am, earlier than other locations.
