Room was very tidy looking on arrival. Nice bright and well decorated room. Comfortable and warm. Nice breakfast with good selection of cereals. Bed comfortable. Good size TV with good image quality and sound. Hotel manager very courteous and helpful and made every effort where possible to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Courteous hotel staff.

Would have liked carpet to be vacuumed and bathroom to be mopped every day. Top half of net curtains were visibly dusty, where dust had gathered over a period of time. Had to hold shower head in hand whilst showering as it was too heavy for shower riser and kept flopping forward directing the jet of water towards the back wall of the shower. Ceiling extractor in bathroom was not working.

Fabulous hotel. Clean, comfy, warm, friendly with parking. Booked for a girls reunion, we all shared a family room which was located on ground floor & had lovely French doors to a private seating area outside. It was too cold to use in March but was great to have a view of the sunny garden. Room was a good size with a little entrance lobby where the bathroom also was. 2 single beds & 1 double bed ideal for a family or those who don't mind sharing. Tea & coffee facilities topped up daily (or grab extra bits from the supplies in the reception area) and complimentary soft drinks & snacks in the fridge. The staff were super friendly & very helpful. 1 of our party got there earlier than planned & the room was ready so they allowed her to check in. Good breakfast, relaxed help yourself buffet style in the conservatory over looking the garden. Plenty of choice of hot (no bacon either day) & cold breakfast, we were definitely set up for the day. The location is on the north side of the city about a 30-minute walk from train station. Nearest pub (very good choice of ale) & eateries only a few streets away (8 mins). One of our best get together weekends the weather helped but the hotel was fantastic.

We have stayed here multiple times and really like the hotel. We have found it very clean, comfortable and quiet and it is extremely convenient for Oxford City Centre. The buses run regularly and it is a 24 minute walk at most.

The only criticism would be the coffee machine at breakfast which, whilst it would give great flexibility to the experienced user can be a challenge for the casual user and is often a source of discussion for the guests. Perhaps it could be set to default to the right size cup. The machines in the bedrooms are much easier to use.

A beautifully kept hotel, with quality fixtures and fittings, lovely helpful staff, good heating that's controllable in the room, windows that open if fresh air needed, really comfortable bed, quality curtains that keep the light out, good quality pillows and duvet, solid doors and walls so can't hear other rooms, my room had a two door layout between my room and the lobby for extra privacy and sound insulation which is a great touch. Breakfast room is lovely with a great selection. Books and games to borrow during your stay. They've thought of everything. Can't fault it.

The welcome, rooms, the cleanliness, the decorations, the tea, coffee, biscuits, milk and goodies offered in the fridge. The beds, duvets, choice of colours, the tapestries on the wall, the breakfast, the range of choice ( please can you add bacon also). The theme of each room with names of universities, how clever. We only wish we could stay longer.

Superb little hotel just 25 mins walk from centre of Oxford. Off-road free parking there for 5 cars. Hotel building had a solid quality feel to it. Everything clean, well painted and fresh. Carpets plush and comfortable. Room clean and woodwork gleaming white gloss paint. Windows are single glazing casement, but perfectly adequate. Very quiet location so no noise pollution at night. Bed very comfortable. Pillows deep and plush. Duvet was fine. Extra blanket available. Everything worked. Couldn't hear neighbouring rooms. Room temperature control can be adjusted. Windows can be opened for fresh air. Breakfast conservatory well-supplied for breakfast - hot food was nicely done. Lots of other choices too. Pleasant well-kept garden. Staff helpful and courteous. Books and games available for our use. Excellent entry system for after hours worked perfectly. I was so pleased with this hotel. I was really pleasantly surprised. It felt like the place was cared for. It had a good atmosphere about it too. I would without hesitation stay again.

We had a spaciuous, comfortable and nicely designed room for three, with garden access for two nights. Beds were comfortable. Heating etc worked well. We had a parking at the hotel. The centre of Oxford is within walking distance (10-12min). Some good restaurants and pubs are even closer. 8.5 points would be okay if fine tuning was possible.

Nothing serious but - we were a bit surprised that the room was tidied up only in a visibly superficial way. - Breakfast was ok, but could easily be better with a little effort (eg add fresh cheese, ham, not just bread for toasts).

Excellent location and off road parking. Room facilities were adequate and a large garden to sit in. Regular bus services to and from the City.

Breakfast room/conservatory was too small when all guests arrived at the same time. Breakfast selection was basic but enough. Cooked food needs to be served or made available hot. On our stay food was just tepid/Luke warm which could lead to bigger problems.

The hotel was as described and our room was large with separate en-suite bathroom. There was tea and coffee making in the room. The hotel was a short £2 bus journey from the Train station and probably only a 25 min walk into the centre of Oxford. It’s just off the Banbury Road but was quiet. We arrived at 1pm and while our room was being finished for check in we sat in the very pleasant garden with a coffee and picnic lunch we had bought. 10 minutes away are two really good pubs, the pick of which was the Vegan only Gardeners Arms where we had a lovely Sunday dinner and really fun Pub Quizz. Food finishes at 8pm and quizz starts at 9.30pm. Breakfast was in the conservatory with good cereal options and a good enough range of cooked items for a filling breakfast. Vegetarian sausages were available on request.

Noise from Banbury Road. As it got later, it wasn't an issue at all. Started up early, even on Sunday. Is there a road crossing nearby? Bleeping sound sounded like a crossing being activated.
