The reception staff were extremely nice and helpful and so were the staff at breakfast. The bed was comfortable. The kettle, tea bags and biscuits in the room were all good.

On one of the mornings the shower was not very warm. The lift was not working properly throughout my two night stay. The staff said that they had informed the management but they obviously couldn't do anything about it. However, they were more than willing to help me when I needed help with carrying my luggage. I was in a standard double room, which was fine for me on my own, but in my opinion would have been quite difficult for two people, as there was very little room in between any of the furniture.

Breakfast was lovely. Lots of variety, nice friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Evening meal was good value but the menu was a little restricted. Ate in the restaurant both nights and food was freshly cooked. The reception had been brilliant when I was booking and reserving, as I was booking rooms for several family members. Unfortunately, the various members changed their minds about days and how many were arriving, several times. The Receptionist took it all in their stride and made all the changes and ensured that all the correct rooms were booked on the right nights.

There seemed to be a shortage of staff. We had to go in search of staff on several occasions, as there was nobody in the restaurant, cafe, or reception. The carpet on the ground floor corridor was rather loose and wrinkled and I tripped a couple of times.

The location was good, and had sufficient parking space, the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The rooms were cozy and comfortable to stay. We will surely stay here again.

Suggestions: There are a few steps between the reception area and the rooms, this could be easily converted to a ramp, and will help in easy movement of luggage's, Rooms were not sound proofed, resulting in disturbing a few tenants from sleep, (we checked in late around 10:30 with Kids) A family room which sleeps 2 adults and 2 kids would be a good addition to the property,

My husband and I had a wonderful stay of nine days (which included a one-day extension). We felt as though we were in a home, and not a hotel. The staff are outstanding. Those on the front desk were welcoming, friendly and helpful (Josh, Maria, and another young man, whose name I've forgotten). The bar and breakfast, and room staff were also attentive. The buffet breakfast menu was extensive and delicious. (I ate there twice). Our room was excellent - the bed was very comfortable, the lighting and heating good, bathroom fine, and the decor and layout of the room, particularly the multiple bay windows, were welcoming. I deliberately booked Linton Lodge because of its location (we were visiting someone nearby) and reasonable cost. The location is ideal for those who enjoy walking: only 1.2 miles to Oxford City Centre, which took us 25 minutes. The walk to supermarkets in Summertown took 15 minutes. Buses are about two minutes' walk away, and taxis are readily available. We'd love to stay here again. Wife.

I was very happy with everything. Breakfast is quite expensive, but this is a general problem with England. If you order the breakfast by the night before, there is a good discount.

We had a lovely stay here. Location was excellent for buses into Oxford. Staff were welcoming and hard working. Dinner was good, freshly cooked burgers. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Fan in room, which helped in the heatwave. Bed was comfortable. All in all a lovely treat for hubby's birthday, combined with visit to Oxford Playhouse. Nice big TV. Would definitely come again. Bathroom was rather small, but would be difficult to change this. It wasn't a big issue, we managed fine and it wouldn't put us off returning. Toiletries were nice. I think the bath either needs a hand rail or a non slip mat to prevent any accidents though. Plug didn't work in washbasin.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable. One member of staff at breakfast went around the tables and told us the buffet was closing so to make sure we got everything we wanted, I noticed a few people taking pastries and cartons of kids’ milk away with them for the day so I thought that was really nice of him to say. The breakfast was good value for money, with lots on offer. This was also noted in the room as there was a good selection of herbal tea and decaf coffee (as I don’t drink caffeine) and nice quality biscuits. The bathroom was clean and modern with toiletries provided. It was easy for us to walk 4 minutes to the bus stop then catch a 5 minute bus into town but then we found that Ubers are even cheaper and took us straight to the hotel.

The size of the bathroom meant that people of a certain height had to sit sideways on the toilet as the shower screen was so close to it. We found that 2 of the plug sockets in the room and 1 of the bedside lamps didn’t work. As parking cost £10 we wish it was a full 24 hours and didn’t end at check out as it would have meant a few extra hours to enjoy Oxford.

On a quiet, residential street with very little noise around. Quite a walk out of central Oxford - would recommend hopping on a bus or e-scooter to get in and out. Not an issue but worth noting if you’re older or less mobile. Room itself (I stayed in an exec double) was nice - modern bathroom, plenty of room and comfy bed. Staff are helpful - the man serving breakfast was especially friendly and chatty.

I was on the ground floor and the windows don’t open. They don’t have air con and instead do offer fans. That would be fine if fresh air was possible but with locked windows, you’re just blowing warm air around. It was stuffy and we’re only in March. Installing tilt windows so it remains safe is so needed. It would make the rooms on the ground floor so much more comfortable.

Helpful and friendly staff. Clean and adequately spacious room. Parking still free but this is about to change 'because of the Council' not sure why the Council are enforcing charges for parking on what is presumably private land? I could not have arrived via public transport as was driving back from Italy having sold my house - the parking was a big attraction of this hotel for me as well as its location.

A couple of minor details about the room which I reported to the staff and am sure they will deal with it.

The room was cosy, beds comfy and a good shower in the well-appointed bathroom. Hairdryer, ironing board and kettle were all available in the room. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were so helpful and very accommodating. There is some parking on the street if you don't want to pay at the hotel carpark but check the street sign parking info to be sure. I found the hotel carpark handy as I went walked into Oxford after checking out and just paid the £10 flat rate again. This was my second stay and I would definitely use this lovely hotel again.

The coffee! I am unsure what coffee was used in the machine but it was weak and tasted of nothing. Good coffee in the morning is a must and this was so disappointing. The bar unfortunately lacked ambiance. Some candles, low lights, stategically placed lamps would enhance this area vastly.

It is located in a very quiet area (not very central - about 15 minutes by bus from the city centre). The staff were nice, the beds large and comfy. I had one breakfast there, which was rather nice but nothing extravagant. It was clean.

At breakfast, the hot food was barely lukewarm (so I'd say go for the cereal instead). The lift and the sofa in the room felt rather ancient. It wouldn't recommend our room for really tall people as the ceiling was low in some places. I still have no idea how to use the shower buttons (the water was scalding hot and the pressure pretty low)
