Loved the uniqueness of the whole place, the rooms, the reception etc. The Thai restaurant was absolutely amazing the food was fantastic. Drinks at the bar were really good too. The breakfast was really nice my wife had a full English and I had a bacon bap. It was beautiful. Stunning location and the farm shop was fantastic.

The rooms could do with a little TLC there was some paint missing from things in the snug room I was in (room2) and a lot of dust, some water damage it looked like in the bathroom & the carpet in the room felt damp but it could have just been cold.

Location was perfect lovely countryside and easy to find with a great farm shop 5 mins walk away

Our room was VERY small however it had everything apart from enough plug outlets and mirror. However we had a problem with the air conditioning as it leaked a lot of water across the carpet. I spoke with the owner Sophie and she immediately dealt with it herself and as we were having dinner she moved all our stuff to another room which was basically a penthouse room!!! The top room in the hotel. She was lovely and looked after us and couldn't of done more to help us. We will definitely return and thank you for looking after us

what was there not to like, the hotel was in the middle of no where and therefore it was really quiet. The hotel its self was really quirky and everywhere you went in the hotel you could tell that there was a lot of thought and money put in to it. The food was nothing short of just down right AMAZING!! There was not one member of staff who couldn't be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

Nothing, it was just perfect and the venue and the staff at the hotel have made for providing my wife and I with a life long memory from our 20th Wedding anniversary stay at the hotel

Our room was very clean the part we stayed at was very private all staff was lovely and the bar staff was sooo nice and friendly, there was a lovely anniversary note in our room which was so thoughtful it was the perfect stay for a mum and dad having a night break. Thai restaurant was gorg we only had starters as we wanted to enjoy our drinks lol but everyone in there complemented there mains, duck spring rolls and satay skewers for the win every time

Very quirky. Watched tiktoks about the property before arrival. It promised a lot and delivered in the main. Food was excellent - good quality ingredients, well thought out menu, brilliant combinations of flavours Staff - so helpful and wanting to please and make the stay amazing, and they did just that We stayed in room 15 which had a Bath at the foot of the bed which was filled from the ceiling, absolutely loved the point of difference in the decor and arrangement of the facilities Loved the settings for different air con/lighting for the room

Water marks on the ceiling suggest previous water damage. Not a biggy but distracted from the overall effect Mirrors in the bedroom alcove were mottled, a cheap quick fix for maximum effect Frosted glass in the bathroom - overlooks the front of the property so nice to have blind open for light but then no privacy

The staff/rean were amazing, friendly and welcoming and very accomodationg throughout our stay Thai restaurant food amazing Love the outside areas, and walk to farm shop. It's an experience and great to see

We liked it all but the room as quirky/eclectic as it was ..was in need of an update and not practical. 1 double plug socket, sink was odd and had to empty the bowl into a stone sink unit and water hole in cabinet was tired and weird. Bath water come out of ceiling and there were stains around the material padded ceiling from this. Infinity bath but would have taken hours to fill and so much water and hard to get in/out as no handle and taps were on window ledge so had to lean right over to operate. Separate shower good though It didn't ruin our stay but could be improved. Bed was very comfortable but very dark for makeup and I'm not sure an open bathroom/room with the toilet is ideal

The property was insanely quirky with several distinct, unusual and key features. Everything was created to match these elements making the whole property, including its cottages and restaurant, into a very unique night.

The only thing that we found a little irksome, was the lack of light in the bedroom area…all other areas were sufficiently light enough when the light was on, however, it was difficult to see in the bedroom - although that did have an element of ‘fifty shades’ to the experience!

Fantastic place from the reception in the old London bus and the wonderfully opulent room, with a ceiling filled infinity bath and private courtyard. Liked the privacy with the room being away from the main building and restaurants. Nice bar and liked the covered oriental themed gardens and ponds. Lovely 12 course Thai meal went down a treat for my wife's birthday surprise night away. Would certainly like to return to the Crazy Bear.

Beautiful hotel very quirky. The decor is outstanding this is the second time ive stayed and the decor in the two rooms have been so different loved them.

The WIFI didnt extend to the room i wa staying in. so was unable to work at my computer with their WIFI. Booked through booking.com and didnt see I had to leave a £150 deposit for the rooms and then took several days to return back to my bank.

Expensive.... Room was nice. But for the price slightly disappointing..... Very Clean & can't complain re quality but we both found for the cost slightly disappointing compared to other rooms shown in photos on website & Booking.com. Room was very dark without much lighting & whilst we accept they trying to get "sexy" ambience it was so dark could find/lost our stuff alot of the time...... Copper bathtub was "nice" but thought for the price of Room would get jacuzzi type bath in room. Water in bathtub tricled out & took ages to fill up.6 Very nice place but for the price of Room & restaurant expected more compared to other hotels we have stayed at offering the same type quality.
