The rooms were clean and comfortable with nice cosmetics. Room was dark and quiet.

The parking cost was really high, especially as the car park was full when we came back from dinner so we couldn't use the car park. We spent 10 pounds x2 cars for them to only be in the carpark for around 30 mins. We were disappointed that the parking wasn't better explained to us.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile, that set the tone for the whole stay. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Queries were met with courteous responses and all requests were handled in a professional and efficient ,friendly manner . We (and our little dog)were made to feel valued customers.Little touches like fresh chilled water and fresh water were really appreciated.Everything we could need was in the room. So lovely to have ironing facilities too . The staff were really exceptional.

Unfortunately our first two nights were extremely hot and we found the air conditioner didn’t take the temperature down far enough. The 19o wasn’t reached at all. The window was unable to be left open because of the noise of the road. However last night the weather was cooler and the sleeping temperature was comfortable.

Beds very comfortable. Liked the USB plugs on all of the room power sockets. Gym had decent weight dumbells unlike many hotel gyms which don't seem to have anything over 10kg

A couple of minor issues in the room. A stray hair found in the shower (not one of ours!). Also the shower tray got quite full so it probably needed a bit of a plunge to clear the drain and there was no loo brush in the bathroom. Other than these everything was excellent. Wasn't mad keen on having to pay an extra charge to park in the car park - that should have been free given the location was outside the centre of town and there looked to be a large dedicated car park exclusively for the hotel

Out stay at the property was excellent! The room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with a very comfortable bed. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the entire experience seamless from check-in to check-out. They were very accommodating when we requested a late check-out, which we truly appreciated. The location was ideal. Parking is available for £12, which is convenient for guests traveling by car. Special thanks to the reception and bar team who were on shift from 4th to 5th September for their outstanding hospitality!

Comfy clean and quiet rooms, interconnecting which was useful as caring for elderly parents. Friendly staff. Solution provided to a mix up over eating (see what didn't you like comment).

There was a hiccup about the evening meal - we had specifically asked about whether we needed to book a table and said we would eat early 5.30/6pm and we were told we wouldn't need to. But when we turned up there was an event on and the restaurant not open until 7.30pm! However once I explained the above the staff moved a table and chairs into the bar area for us and solved the problem. Better not to have happened, but since it did the solution was provided.

We chose Hilton Garden Inn as we were attending a wedding in Lairns Barn about 15 mins car ride away. The price was within our budget and has great reviews. As we needed to get changed before checking in time the staff were very accommodating in having a room ready for us to change into our wedding attire. They also booked a cab for us as the uber connection was not working and booking would not go through The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and shampoo conditioner etc were provided. The breakfast was amazing and catered for gluten free vegan etc aswell as cooked, continental, Porridge cereal waffles. We very much enjoy our stay and would highly recommend

The decor was modern & inviting, everywhere was clean. Most of the staff were friendly & efficient. When we had a problem with our room they were quick to change it for us. We then had a problem with our tv reception. Best gluten free buffet breakfast I have had.

Although they had a good gluten free breakfast not so on the restaurant evening menu. I was offered Avocado on toast, it was actually one small piece of bread not toasted & some black avocado, they charged me £8 for this, when I sent it back the waiter hardly acknowledged me & I was still charged.

The Room was of a decent size to accommodate Family and dog. It was clean and well presented. The staff at reception was particularly helpful when granting me storing my high value bicycle in the room (against a guarantee deposit of course), ensuring I was in the best conditions possible for my race next day. Staff was welcoming and helpful and overall hotel presented very well for the price point. Location wise, the hotel is right outside Tesco, which is very convenient, as well as a few yards away from the A34 making it easy to travel from/to.

The car park is not great. Abingdon not being a main city, most guests would travel by car. it was a surprise to learn -after booking- that the customer car park would be chargeable at an extra £10 per night. It is not common practice (car park is usually free of charge for guests at most competitors) and £10/night is very expensive. I would not make the comment if the charge was limited to £5, particularly as this carpark is so small that finding a spot could be a struggle. As such, I may not consider this option for any future stay of 2+ nights as it only adds up. Then the breakfast offering could also be reviewed. It is fairly limited, in particular for guests who are after a more continental breakfast. The english breakfast is decent and should be sufficient for most.

The members of staff were all friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and very clean. Although the room faced onto a busy roundabout, the glazing was excellent, so it was very quiet at night. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with a variety of choices and the fresh fruit and pastries were very good.

The charge for parking should be included in the price, so that it is more transparent when comparing hotels. £12.50 per night.

Very friendly staff, facilities were good, restaurant was good but menu choice could have been better, all in all a comfortable stay, one issue I have is paying for car parking, I guess most hotels charge nowadays but it is just another case of guest’s getting ripped off especially when I am a member of Hilton Honours which should be free but because I booked through a third party (reception’s words), I had to pay £10 a night, again why should we get ripped off for parking on hotel property.
