Great location and loads of space inside ...staff were great, really attentive and helpful ... food was very good - enough choice to keep me going for four nights and still had plenty I wouldn't have minded trying ... quality and quantities were good and inclusive breakfast [ with the room ] great value - again very accomodating - although not on the menu they would cook simply scrambled or poached eggs on toast . Room was really spacious with comfortable bed, sofa and desk and good shower pressure

It didn't affect my stay but I'm guessing the venue is due for a refurb in the not too distant future as some surfaces showing signs of age - perfectly clean and serviceable however. The car park is across the road which can be quite busy in the morning to just take your time.

A perfect location for our trip to Oxford, just a short drive to the Oxford park and ride. We started our stay with a very nice lunch before checking in. We had a few initial problems which were sorted quickly. Our room was of a good size but unfortunately not a view but at least it was quiet. We cannot fault the service. Everyone was so helpful and nothing was too much problem. Andrew the breakfast host was amazingly helpful , polite and friendly . Our breakfasts were well cooked and plenty was on offer. Everything we have eaten during our stay was very tasty. There's a lawn and patio seating areas outside with a small children's play area.

Everything could do with some t.l.c. For us , our mattress was too hard. We'd asked for our room to be serviced but it wasn't done, but the receptionist offered her assistance and helped rectify the problem.

The property is a nice character building with a decent-sized twin room with en-suite bath & shower over. Our room was at the front of the property, and, due to recent weather, it was very warm when we entered the room. Opening the windows helped a little, but traffic noise was a little intrusive (but unavoidable if we wanted ventilation). There was a table fan supplied, which helped with air circulation during the night. We'd also booked for breakfast and this was excellent with a good selection of juices, breads and cereal. The full English was very well presented and very filling. Service and speed were faultless. Overall a very good overnight stop-off for our trip.

We chose the restaurant for our evening meal. It was less than a quarter full, and the food was good, but the delay in serving it was woeful. Virtually every table that was served was accompanied by apologies for the delay. The main course was served probably more than 30 minutes after finishing our starters, and had to be chased up. To be fair, when we raised this with the waiting staff, we received a discount on our final bill.

Stay here 2 -3 times a year lovely staff ideal location and value for money also value for money on food

Only minor issue was music was to loud in bar area for size of bar area should be in background only (this is a personal thing as I feel you should be able to talk without listening to music and I could have asked staff to turn it down slightly but other guests and visitors didn't take any notice of the music as I said just a personal thing

Quiet location, plenty of parking. Good choice of food in the restaurant, breakfast excellent. Good service, staff very friendly. Full marks to Steve and all the team.

Initially we were given room 9. A large room, excellent shower, but the bed was awful. A small double sleigh type bed! Not big enough for two people to sleep comfortably. I ended up sleeping on the sofa! Asked for a room change the next morning, the girl on reception agreed there was a problem with the bed and found us another room. Much better

Large car park, staff above and beyond expectations. Just the sort of place you need on your travels with breakfast served early enough to be enjoyed before hitting the road. Best hotel coffee & chain breakfast I have had this year ... for a reasonable price.

Nothing to report here. OK, the room I had was perhaps not all shiny plastic and designer but still had a terrific nights kip, which, if you are on the road is what you need.

Loved the relaxed, yet attentive service. Thoughtful and helpful staff. The food and ambience were very good. Obviously well-liked by locals. Very comfortable when travelling and staying alone. Thank you!

Room overlooked the road which was busy and ran directly past the hotel - very close to the hotel building. The furniture in the room was very tired. Limited number of interesting channels on the TV.

My room was at the back of the hotel, and was very quiet. Room was a good size, with super views over the fields. Breakfast and evening meal - superb, and evening meal reasonably priced.

Could have done with an extra chair in the bedroom so that I could sit at the dressing table/desk. Dining room often still being cleaned at start of breakfast. Car park over a fast and busy road, especially at morning rush hour.

Bed was very comfy, the pillows were absolutely incredible I 100% need one of those pillows. Room was tended to daily and staff were super friendly. Food was good in the restaurant also.

The WiFi sucks, I had non-stop issues every night. After the first night, the extraction fan in the bathroom started making a horrific racket so I had to turn it off and after the 2nd night the radiator also started making an odd sound which was off-putting for the remainder of my stay. There is unfortunately a truly abysmal amount of phone signal (at least on the Three network) and it completely cuts out in the restaurant.

Our room was clean and well equipped and quietly situated at the back of the property. There was ample parking. Breakfasts were wonderful with an a la carte choice of hot food and a buffet of other options. The coffee, in an urn was, I think, instant and did not match the quality of the food. We had dinner there one evening and the food was exceptionally good. I would highly recommend the restaurant.

Apart from the breakfast coffee, absolutely nothing.
