The location was great - ideal for our needs (a short stop off on our longer trip) - and so close to Abingdon, with very pleasant walking from the door. The exterior courtyard and the Breakfast room were very pleasant, very peaceful places to take time, regardless of the weather. The breakfast was simple and more than sufficient. Our room, looking out on to the courtyard (as they all do) was sufficiently spacious for a short stay and the facilities were more than adequate. Staff were present, but unobtrusive and the whole vibe was very relaxed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly return, when we are travelling through this part of the country.

Nothing.

Everything! Beautifully converted farmyard - liked the idea of sleeping in what was once a horse stable! Good selection of ingredients to create your own style of continental breakfast. Staff easy to talk to. You can see only fields surrounding you but you are only just across the river from the town,

The only downside was the size of our room which was a tad tight for two travellers with three suitcases. Lovely spacious bathroom though!

The location was excellent, it was very clean and comfortable and it was lovely to have a Christmas tree which made the place cosy too .

I did find it a little chilly, and it was difficult to have timely contact with the owner to address this. It would have been nice to have had the option to have bought extra wood supplies from the owners rather than go out and buy it myself. I was glad I arrived in the daylight as I got muddled with the instructions, and it would’ve been helpful and a nice personal touch to have had an introductory pack to the cottage . Nevertheless, the Owner was extremely helpful when contacted.

The room was small but cosy with a comfortable bed. The location is lovely, just over the bridge from town and surrounded by lovely tranquil countryside. It’s close to restaurants and pubs and the self check-in is straightforward. Breakfast is basic (toast, pastries, cereal, boiled eggs) but tasty. It’s a great spot to stay!

Everything was great! If I had to be picky, the television is tiny (but that didn’t bother me) and while the room description listed a desk, there wasn’t one in the room. I managed just fine with a chair and the dresser.

Very nice and helpful stuff. The area is beautiful. If you're visiting England for the first time, I highly recommend taking a moment to go out at dawn to see the beautiful fog surrounding the fields and the local wildlife. The breakfast is good. The location is also very nice, Abingdon is a beautiful old town.

The breakfast lacked meat, but that's not a big problem.

Stayed just the one night after a day visiting Blenheim and before a concert the next day in Oxford. Easy to find, nice room and bathroom, the unit was well heated, spotlessly clean and very pleasant. With plenty of towels, a hand soap, shower gel, shampoo etc dispensers and useful small TV, there's a kettle and sachets of coffee, hot chocolate & milks, plenty of tea bags and a biscoff biscuit each, all set out on a tray. Open clothes rail recessed in wall was very convenient, beds are quite comfy and there's plenty of electric sockets via the extension lead on the floor behind a bedside cabinet, also an information wallet. There's a shared kitchen (like a hostel set up) barely 20 steps away which is very useful if arriving late evening like we did. Like the accommodation, this is also modern, clean and well set up and includes an eating area with cafe tables and chairs. Spacious to cook in, it was well equipped with an electric oven, separate grill oven and a four ring hob, a fridge, toaster, crockery, pots and utensils etc. This is where you'll find and cook your own breakfast and wash up. There are clean tea towels, washing up liquid, kitchen paper and one scouring pad too. It was like home from home. For breakfast there was plenty of breads, bagels, butter, eggs, cereals, milk, fresh strawberries, blackberries, plain yoghurt, pots of instant oats and lots of spreads...Nutella, marmite, honey, jams etc. Teas and coffee are all right there also to help yourself to. We cooked and thoroughly enjoyed scrambled eggs on toast, fresh berries with yoghurt. (I wish I'd bought with us some bacon and mushrooms - doh!) There's a beautiful courtyard with some tables and chairs to enjoy if you've time and weather permits...very pretty. In fact, everywhere is perfectly maintained and the accommodation was in a great location for our needs. The staff that we bumped into in the morning are lovely, friendly and welcoming.

Only downsides for me were that the outside areas aren't lit that well at night if you need to pop out to the car. Also, the door lock was old and a bit fiddly - not brilliant security! (If you're arriving/leaving on foot, definitely bring a torch; the long-ish lane to the main road and pub isn't lit at all.)

Great location, just a few minutes walk to the town center. Perfect for long walks around the fields (back of the hotel) with our dog and blessed with a lovely view of the Thames River. Pet friendly, lovely gardens and rooms, clean, comfortable, super easy self check-in/check-out, good breakfast with vegan options. Staff Millie and Kalie very friendly.

The TV is small and far from the bed so difficult to watch but not a problem at all as we spent all day outside. The mattress could be a bit better but just fine.

Impeccable service, comfy rooms with warm bathrooms and nice set of hot chocolate and tea. It's been a beautiful escape from London and it's so close to the centre of Abingdon. One day it was sunny too so we walked until the Abingdon Science Park which consisted of a picturesque walk through the woods

Nothing. It was all great. The only thing was that the reception was only available until 4 p.m. so we couldn't leave our luggage until the end of the work training event. Minor observation

Comfy bed. Emma in breakfast cabin was very welcoming on the morning. Lots of fresh berries for breakfast - YUM! Convenient for buses into Oxford. Our pup was very happy to have his own bed provided. Only downside was sound insulation between us and next door's bathroom was not great.

Downside was sound insulation between us and next door's bathroom
