Very nice room and an easy check in assisted by a small team in charge of the pub and reception. The Kings Arms is right on the Woodstock main road so some traffic noise is inevitable. The windows have double glaze options to help and late in the evening the flow of vehicles settles down. My room was top floor and therefore no noise from the pub itself; it was well appointed, with good facilities including a coffee machine and a lovely shower room with shampoo and conditioner provided. Breakfast was also very well made and served with a friendly, helpful approach. Parking is tricky outside the Pub/Hotel but the village is very well served by the public car park off Union Street - FREE - just a stroll away (200 yds). Two great local coffee shops near by; Woodstock coffee shop and Missing Bean speciality coffee. This venue is also just a stroll from the back of Blenheim Palace so a morning walk was a true bonus.

All fine; there's not much the hotel can do about the road and traffic.

Had dinner in the restaurant- had the Greek salad and frankly not impressed . It needed far more Feta , tomato and olives . Tiny amounts of those ingredients meant It was basically a lot of lettuce and chopped onion which for £13 is not great and is not a Greek salad . It’s a side salad . I should know as I have Greek relatives and they’d be embarrassed to serve that up . . Ordered some ice cream for dessert but my choices not available !! Not impressed by that Please can you provide real milk for tea in rooms - cartons are awful. Make tea undrinkable . .

First night room VERY hot due to weather. Sleep difficult because of this. Noisy because of road outside and necessary open window Parking not straightforward. Can’t park and leave car, have to move it. Max 4 hour parking on roads during day. Fortunately could take car into Blenheim and park for free but would have been good to walk into Blenheim from the village

This was a last minute little break away to celebrate a special occasion. The hotel is in a perfect location in the centre of Woodstock and and the room we were allocated- The Oliver - was wonderful. Very spacious, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable king size bed. The breakfast selection was superb and all items were beautifully cooked and presented including the array of fresh fruits, cereals and pastries. The Full English was everything a hearty breakfast should be .. and more! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special - including a complimentary room upgrade and glasses of breakfast mimosas! Special thanks to Evvie, Lauren and Mollie - we hope to return again soon.

Beautiful décor and a perfect location in the centre of Woodstock. Fair price for the size of the room on a Saturday night. Good quality tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water included in the room. Provision of a cot/small bed for our son was no problem at all.

It's an old building and there are signs of issues needing upkeep/attention once your eye is used to the surroundings, but this didn't physically impact our stay. It's worth keeping in mind that this is a pub and there was relatively loud music noise and talking noise right under our room until about 11pm. Our son is a pretty heavy sleeper and so it probably caused me more hassle than him, thankfully! Breakfast was of great quality but the staff (chef) seemed a bit overwhelmed on a Sunday morning resulting in us waiting about 45 minutes for our cooked breakfast and other groups who ordered after us receiving their breakfasts a long time before us.

Very good central location in Woodstock parking outside the hotel free parking from 6pm until 08.00am then charges very reasonable £1.00 for two hour parking Breakfast and service good, good choice of cooked breakfast Room was neat and comfortable portable air con which was a bonus tea coffee provided with a actual coffee maker As we was at the front of the hotel and on the main road it was rather noisy with the volume of traffic wasn't really a problem only to be expected

Nothing really everything was fine

excellent location right in town centre - within easy walking distance of pubs, restaurants and Blenheim Palace. All staff were fantastic - very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a great room, vary spacious, plenty of storage, nice king-size bed, superb overhead shower and excellent heating which was needed for this time of year. Stayed on bed/breakfast basis and the breakfast was superb - particularly recommend the Full English. Buffet style for fruit juices, yoghurt, cereals, croissant etc with everything else brought to your table. Enjoyed a very pleasant evening meal in the restaurant and also enjoyed sitting in the small bar areas which did get busy but never felt overcrowded (dogs were welcome). Would definitely recommend

unfortunately no on-site car parking however we were directed to a "free" car park in Union Street just two/three minute walk away.

One of the main delights of this old inn is its interior design and furnishing: of the highest quality, and beautiful colours and tonings of walls, furniture and fabrics. Much appreciated. My room was an aesthetic delight - also old German botanical prints on the walls everywhere. Breakfast was better than most UK hotels offer, as it had a good cold buffet as well as extensive hot menu. Supper was excellent, too.

The radio in my room (a Roberts!) and the television were too complicated for me to work. Why not use simpler appliances?

Fantastic location for visiting Blenheim Palace, which was the purpose of the trip. We managed to park outside the pub, and for £10, we could park for up to 24 hours; obtain a permit from reception. The bedroom was comfortable with the usual tea and coffee facilities, the room clean and tidy. The staff were very professional and friendly, and the food in the bar and restaurant were excellent; reasonably priced.

The room had an en-suite shower, the cubicle for which is a little small, so for the fuller figure it may be a squeeze, and whilst ok for us, you need to step up in the bathroom. So if infirm at all this may be a challenge.

Great location for Blenheim and the hotel has a really nice vibe, overall. It has become a bit of a tradition for my husband and I to visit mid-late November and we always look to stay here first. Room was in good order and good tea/coffee options. They also now have a small continental brekkie section which I think is a great change. Little jams and spreads as well as top ups on juice etc can be done quickly.

Not too much to report actually. The one niggle was that our portions of scrambled eggs was really very small. I had enough for maybe one slice toast and it was the same for the rest of our family.
