It was a hike to our room on the top floor, but well worth it. Very nice bed; view of Oxford neighborhood was great; only a 15 min. walk to the river and park. The kitchen and conservatory area was so nice for us to relax in. We travelled with our daughter and her one-year old baby; they had the back room off the kitchen which suited their needs really well. We also appreciated the very close grocery and coffee house. Buses ran to and from City Center - very easy to get around.

Trying to communicate with the host was sketchy. We asked if we could drop off our luggage early and didn't get an answer. Attempts to communicate through Booking were not answered. This may be a problem with TOO many ways to communicate (i.e. through Booking, email, messaging, etc.)

The room was large enough, the large bed very comfortable, and everything was clean. Lovely towels. There was a well equipped kitchen for common use as well as a lounge/dining area. We were lucky to be able to park in front of the house. Our room was in the back of the house, so no traffic noise. A food shop nearby and some good restaurants / pubs not far. A pleasant half hour walk to town, or a little longer walk along the river.

There is a step down to the kitchen. My wife almost flew over: please put up a warning sign. I’m not convinced that we were given the room that we paid for. We enquired but did not get a reply.

Quiet, comfortable, clean bedroom plus en suite bathroom. Nice well-equipped kitchen and separate eating area, good space in the room, very convenient for visiting our nearby family. Useful nearby shops and bus stops.

Found a little slug in our room one day, which we removed! Plastic (?) style under sheet or mattress cover. Kitchen sink plug didn't seem to work, making washing up difficult. Tv had no channels as far as we could make out. A 2nd armchair in the bedroom would make it even better!

The room was lovely. Well decorated with drawers, lamps, TV and chair. The bathroom was lovely - very clean, in perfect working order. The kitchen was big, had plenty of pans and stuff to use, so I could cook my own breakfasts and the conservatory is very comfortable. I could not have been happier, especially with the price. I lost my electric razor and they have even offered to post it back to me! Marvellous!

The stay was perfect. I would change nothing. :)

I stayed here for a few days for a work trip at Oxford University and really enjoyed staying here - only 5-10 min bus ride to the university area and quiet neighborhood. There is a cafe and a grocery store nearby. The price is very reasonable given the expensive rate near the university. The shared kitchen was super clean and was very well furnished.

Everything was great except it was a little bit hard to find the place - there is no sign mentioning "Iffley House" - however I followed the address carefully and was able to find the place. The place is not very distinguishable from other residential housings.

The property is really well located in a nice and safe area. It is very clean and tidy. I liked the pad lock at the entrance as it feels quite safe and it’s easy to use without the key. The room was amazing with a great and calm view. I will definitely come back! (There’s also a bus stop right in front of the guest house so it’s very practical)

Not much to say. The bed was a bit too small if you are two tall people it is slightly too small / and the duvet could be bigger too. But nothing major to mention.

I am a female solo traveller so my security is paramount at all times. I felt safe here. Although l did not meet the owners, l was given full e mail instructions regarding my stay well before l left home, such as how to access the property with codes for entry to the premises. I did not need to bother to phone a mobile number to ask for assistance. This attention to detail made me feel that l was a valued visitor to this beautiful Guest House. I was extremely happy with my double bedroom with ensuite and the fact that a kitchen area was available for use was very handy. I only stayed for one night so l did not use the dining area in the conservatory at the back of the premises but this area was clean and welcoming to all staying at this gem of a Guest House. I look forward to booking another stay here in the future. Many thanks.

Nothing springs to mind as all was available as advertised. Excellent value for money and still close to Oxford City. I did not use the buses but l did note that they seemed to run on a regular basis.

The room was cosy and comfortable. A single bed with armchair, bedside table, drawers and clothes hanging space. Perfect for the short stay. The window opened and temperature was good. Entry couldn't have been easier with the door codes supplied in advance. There was a very large and well equipped shared kitchen and a nice conservatory and garden area with furniture for guests to make use of. No one was using any of this when I arrived so I had it all to myself. There was also a small selection of books to read.

No shampoo/shower gel in the bathroom was disappointing.

Good location, lots of facilities nearby. A coop next door and bus stop across the street into town. Self check in system was easy, codes given for doors. Room was clean and tidy, shared kitchen with all amenities and a dining room too. Towels provided were large and comfortable. We arrived before the room was ready but we were allowed to put our bags in the room so that was helpful.

No kettle in room as one is provided in the kitchen, so no cups either. Also no shower gel or hand wash so don’t forget to bring those either. Not an issue at all but something to take into consideration - maybe bring your own?

Everything was very good organised. I easily got to my room and found everything I needed. The staff really takes care of the house and rooms and I always felt myself at home staying there.

I was confused when I wanted to get to the house via bus as the hotel instructions say there should be 4 and 4a buses. In reality, these buses are 3 and 3a. Please correct the instructions for visitors to make their arrival perfect.
