We had a Warm friendly reception on our arrival at The Red Mullions Guest House from Julie. Our room was well thought out, with everything we needed for our comfortable stay. Debbie the cleaner was very helpful too. The Red Mullions guest information booklet provided was really helpful and informative. The position of the place was ideal for my treatment at the Churchill, within walking distance of the hospital. Nice places to eat out within walking distance. Bus stop was just outside the premises with very regular service to Oxford and surrounding area. We would highly recommend this lovely guesthouse. And will be back.

Extremely clean, compact and comfortable. Julie was very helpful. A very convenient place to stay if your main purpose is to be around the Headington campus. Lots of cafes and restaurants in walking distance at the Headington center. We are not breakfast people, so we were happy to be offered a lower rate without breakfast.

If your main purpose is centered around the historic old part of Oxford - then this is some distance away. Buses are convenient to catch, but remember traffic moves very slowly on oxfords 2 lane streets.

The host was very accommodating. I was there because I was visiting my sister in the hospital after an emergency transfer from jersey. I wasn’t sure if I needed 1 or 3 nights but the host looked after me and saved me a room for the second night. I was travelling alone, and I had ground floor rooms, which were both excellent and I felt very safe as the lick up the front door at 6pm with access only by guest fob key. Highly recommend if you need to be close to the John Radcliffe hospital (10 mins walk) .

Great location, close to the hospital for visits and also to a stretch of restaurants on the high street nearby. Room and bathroom was incredibly clean, shower had good water pressure and water ran hot consistently which was appreciated. Breakfast was simple but lovely as well, and convenient for an early start.

Would be good to have a fan in the room - the night was just cool enough to sleep with the window open but anything warmer and I think it would have felt too warm.

Wonderful little guest house with a very warm welcome from Julie upon arrival. I was attending an event at the university and it was perfectly located for this purpose. It was on the direct bus route to Heathrow which is handy for international travellers also. The room was well-appointed, clean and well decorated with a spotless ensuite bathroom with toiletries. The rooms are also equipped with Sky Digital which was handy to watch the golf.

The only downside was that the walls seemed a little thin and there was a lot of noise from next door (nothing excessive but I could hear their TV very clearly). The chair legs on the chair were also quite wobbly. But I am nitpicking there.

Lovely bedrooms, plenty of sockets, storage, tea/ coffee etc. Clean bathroom, very comfy beds and super breakfast (cost £10 ea) with lots of choice. Great host and parking available. Note twin room is on the 3rd floor with steep steps so not ideal for older people or those with mobility issues. On the main road close to Brooks uni and near the bus stop.

Wish we’d known the twin room was on the top floor. Ground floor double room shower temp not adjustable. Other than that, Red Mullions is great!

The property is very well connected with the train station with a few direct buses. There are plenty of supermarkets, takeaways and restaurants in the surrounding. My room and the bathroom were very spacious and had everything I might have needed. The staff was very helpful (had to change the date of the booking and were understanding) and friendly. I found the quality of the room perfect for the price, compared to other guest rooms I have been in Oxford.

Nothing really. If I have to suggest some improvement, I would have preferred a firmer bed.

Very clean, spacious, bright room. It is clear that whoever did up the rooms really put thought into it. From the biscuits for tea to nice toiletries, iron with board, lamps for every bedside, everything is in place. The same goes for the rest of the guesthouse which is very well maintained.

The only thing missing was a few shelves to keep clothes organised so that guests do not have to live out of the suitcase especially in a family room where 3+ guests are expected to stay.

Room was very clean and comfortable, decided to go with the continental breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Power shower in the en-suite was very good, if a wee bit noisy. Useful to have on-site parking. Very helpful staff and would stay again.

Hot water in the en-suite was a bit hit or miss. It was way better after we used the shower, so maybe just needed some better water flow but it didn't detract from our stay.

The small double room I had was very clean and homely. The en suite was good and bed was comfy with super pillows and crisp clean sheets. I enjoyed sky tv and had a lovely relaxing evening after visiting at the local hospital all day.

The water pressure was a little low but I didn’t worry really it was warm and plentiful. Some noise from reception but it didn’t really disturb me too much.
