Property located in a nice quiet village. Very beautiful surroundings. Enough parking for guests. The building is very English outside and inside. It was a perfect opportunity to have a feel of an old English house, it has a character an a feeling of traditional home stay. Inside the property seems like a family museum with loads of objects on display. The house has National Trust vibes.
My son has asthma so his condition was aggravated my the smells of the old house and dust in heavy curtains, carpets, sheets. There were no proper duvet but a few layers of wool blankets and a thin sheet. Obviously nobody would wash those wool blankets every time, so they’re full of dust and were used by the previous guests. Towels had damp smell. We didn’t like breakfast either. We were seated in a kitchen at the same table with the other guests that was awkward. We prefer to eat quietly and not having to interact with strangers. Theirs is a big clock just outside the room that strikes every hour, so at nighttime I was waken up every hour by the clock strikes. Even in my sleep I knew exactly what time it was :)

The most english home I have ever seen. The owner was lovely! Offered us tea and biscuits right away when we came in, gave us extra plates so we could eat in dinner in the living room, she found us a mobile heater for our room (the oil for the heating had run out), she made us eggs on her aga and was generally just such a nice person to talk to. You can really tell that she puts a lot of care and love into this home. It feels genuine. The bed was huge as well!
The only downside for us was that the living room smelled like cold wood smoke all the time. It's a lovely room with a big fireplace and sofas and armchairs all over. However the wind seemed to be pushing into the chimney a lot, and with it came the smell of smoke. Both my parents have fireplaces in their house and while not new to us it was quite strange.

Beautiful experience. Unfortunately I didn't have the pleasure to meet the host, as she was exceptionally not there, the day I visited. The house is really telling the story of the host and her family. Museum level experience. The host had prepared the setup for breakfast and gave us instructions. Everything was so well set up that I didn't dare to spoil it. I skipped breakfast. Highly recommend especially if you are new in England and want to have an authentic experience.

The host was very friendly and welcoming, and she really managed to create a great experience for everyone. There was time and opportunity to talk to other guests at arrival and breakfast and the host went out of her way to make us comfortable.
The room was a bit hot, which was unsurprising given the age of the building and the hot weather.

Very warm welcome. Felt very at home. Was a family feeling to the set up of the b&b. Breakfast was lovely and cooked at a time that suits you. Full English available but being vegetarian we both just opted for scrambled eggs on toast with tomatoes. Nice tranquil relaxed village with a pond. 400 year old building with lots of character and charm.
Local pub had unfortunately shut and no local shop so I'd advise to take some sort of lunch with you if visiting.

Spotless, very quiet, very comfortable, the owner gave personal warm care to each detail of our stay, The tea with home made cake and chocolate biscuits were better than Harrods. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The garden was beautiful, the surrounding tranquil and very peaceful. I am telling everyone in my family to go enjoy a wonderful, peaceful very comfortable and relaxing getaway.
All was good

We were so well looked after during our stay-even drying our wet clothes by the aga! We were made to feel at home and were free to use the facilities as we wished. The location was beautiful- so quiet. It will be even better when the pub reopens in the village!

The lady who owned the old school was absolutely amazing and very accommodating, the rooms were a great size, plenty of room for your clothes i will also mention that there are 2 very lovely dogs Cora and Holly, very friendly. Stayed there for the silverstone Grand Prix 20 minutes and there and back great place to stay if you are thinking of attending.
Low ceilings bit thats me just putting something in this box banged my head every morning, but that's on me, haha

Perfect host and very comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent. Beautiful Village and surroundings.
Unable to fault really. Having a downstairs room next to the shared bathroom was a little noisy when someone used the bathroom the automatic extractor fan was quite loud.

The breakfast was amazing. I was offered a cup of tea on arrival. Sally Anne was a very attentive host and I’d stay here again without a doubt. In fact I’m already planning to!!
My room was a little chilly but there were plenty of blankets and tea making facilities in the room so I wasn’t cold at all at night.
