Good room, great pool, super location. Breakfast was OK, but not special.

Breakfast might have been a bit more imaginative and of higher quality. Some staff are clearly in training, as well as being from overseas. So a request for a lemonade shandy was met with a coke, for example. One thing that should have been better was the umbrella rent (£2 for 48 hours). But when you put it back it lights up with a message to "present your card". If you do that you get charged another £2. I found it confusing, and I am sure some of the many overseas visitors would have done so as well. Needs a serious look at.

Very comfortable, great facilities, friendly and helpful staff, best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Fantastic.

Only negative was the sound of (I think!) the lift, which I could hear from my room through the night. It did not detract from my stay though as the rest was so good.

Location, it was near a field where we could see horses everyday, very exciting for our little one. Very nicely situated, close enough to the city but tucked away in the quieter parts. There is a playground and splash park just outside the hotel which was a bonus for us because we were with a very active 5 year old. We didn’t use the splash park because it was in the colder months. But perfect in the summer time! We really liked the breakfast food, loved that I was a buffet because it means not waiting for meals to be cooked. Marley was very welcoming and kind to us and everyone else to be fair. if your package includes breakfast and dinner just so you know the options are limited and menu is repetitive, which we didn’t mind because we had a short stay. The food is good quality and freshly cooked. If you want halal food call and do make sure to book all your meals in advance regardless of what you are told. There was a misunderstanding about this but they sorted it out by getting us halal chicken on the same day for dinner. They only offer halal chicken and the burger on the menu is not halal. The good thing is that after we mentioned this issue they opened up the whole menu for us to use free of charge. We found the wait time for dinner to be quite long and if you have a young child then this can a bit of a pain. We started asking them to bring our daughter’s food early which they kindly accommodated, but then the catch was that she had to sit and wait for our meals to arrive after she was already done eating. She was definitely happier with a full tummy but then had energy for playing. Bring activities if you can. The swimming pool, gym and spa was Mediocre, but really nicely run and very friendly and kind staff. There is a sauna and steam room Generally speaking the staff are really friendly and they were very accommodating and they did everything you requested without much trouble. We would definitely go again!

Definitely the most luxurious and comfortable accommodation we experienced outside of London :) Super breakfast (make sure to try the pancakes!) and tasty menu available throughout the day, which was a real treat (pun intended :) Checking in late afternoon and waking up in the morning to horses in the pasture was a wonderful bonus too. Travelling with my elderly father, it was fabulous having an accessible room and spacious bathroom.

It was the most expensive place at which we stayed during our 3-week UK holiday, so it was disappointing that the hotel had initiated a 20 pound daily parking fee at the start of April 2025. Also, I wish Reception had been more forthcoming about the distance involved and the number of swinging fire doors we had to navigate with luggage and my father’s walker. A significant shortcut was via the open courtyard/rear parking area. Ideally, Reception should have informed me of that option at check-in, rather than letting me figure things out for myself, especially since there is no site map provided, nor on the website :(

The manager Simon, Marley from the restaurant and! ABI from the spa were standouts. Exceptional Customer Service. We were there to celebrate 🥳 my daughters birthday 🎂. Staff provided her with a personal note and chocolates 🍫 . There were a few issues with communication via Booking.com originally but the way that Simon resolved it was superb. I think the way issues are resolved speaks volumes about the integrity og a business. Overall Great location, comfortable bed, great breakfast, clean rooms, Exceptional Customer Service. Spa waz nice although small. Swimming 🏊‍♂️ pool is great!!.

Very little

The room was excellent and extremely well looked after by the service staff who were all very positive and friendly but not at all intrusive. Reception staff - Vivi was very welcoming when we arrived and later on when we saw him. Breakfast was excellent, always replenished, tables cleared quietly and regularly. Staff again very friendly and helpful. We had dinner there one evening and the food was excellent. It did seem quite busy but we felt a little ignored by a couple of staff, but others were very friendly and helpful and made the meal enjoyable. They just checked we were OK which was all that was needed. The hotel location was very good, quite handy for the city but back off the main road. Just a short walk down to the river which was great for a short walk. We liked the fact that there was a bottle of water each day and good supply of tea and coffee. Also filtered water near reception. Couple of chairs in our room which we liked and it didn't feel crowded. Walking through the hotel if you met a staff member they were all extremely cheerful and friendly and made you feel 'at home'. The hotel felt very fresh and well thought out.

I don't really have any complaints.

After a short walk, you will see the beautiful building, like fairy tales stories. The reception ladies are very friendly and helpful. They help us to early check in, plan the hop-on hop-off bus tour, and plan next day’s itinerary. The room is very spacious compared to London hotels with one full bed and one full-size sofa bed. If you come with a family with 2 kids, it should fit in. The bed is very comfortable. My kid forgot her toothbrush in London, they gave her a bath kit. It’s so nice. The hotel is close to Thames river and next morning we made a by the river walk. It’s so beautiful. The breakfast is very good, you have a lot of options. We have a great breakfast. We definitely would come back again.

Great location, easy walk into centre of town. Comfortable beds, very attentive staff throughout, nice easy ambience.

Couldn’t find any faults, a very good stay

Lovely rural views from our room. Very clean rooms and the housekeeping staff were extremely helpful. Reception staff also friendly and helpful. I liked that it was a little out of the hustle & bustle of town. We enjoyed our walks in along the river. Excellent food and the breakfast was outstanding with plenty of everything. Staff were very efficient, keeping everything topped up & clearing tables.

The only downside was that the doors were very noisy on opening/ closing. We were kept awake by guests, presumably with the wedding party coming and going until late at night and talking loudly in the corridor.

Property was located a short walk from the centre of Oxford. It was set back quite a distance from the main road which gave it a secluded feel. The breakfast was delicious and there was a huge variety of food to choose from. All the staff were polite and friendly.

When we arrived we were hit with a £25 parking charge to park the car on their property. This was not mentioned when I booked or before I arrived. We booked this hotel thinking it was a ‘good deal’ however with the extra £25 we could have had another hotel in the city centre. Also the single beds are on the smaller side and not the most comfortable. We stayed at the Hilton the night before which was cheaper and bigger comfier single beds.
