Number 21 is a small hotel in Kyiv that is very close to a subway station and the funicular to go up to the top of the hill where St. Michael's Cathedral and the Ukrainian Department of Foreign Affairs office is located. Because of its geographic location backed up to a large hill and low stature, it is a uniquely safe location to stay during the current war. We had a lovely 2 storey apartment inside the hotel. I wish the downstairs had a designated shelter area, but the subway is close and the building is backed up to the mountain so this is a small issue.

The property is in an incredible location, with all necessary amenities and incredible staff. 1 min away from a metro station - which can double up as a shelter, if needed. The staff are the real value here, with everyone wanting to help and support in any way they can. I had some rather outlandish requests due to my work, and they always found a way to accommodate - I am incredibly grateful.

An elevator would have been handy, but staff were always available to help.

The location is great, close to the main sightseeing places. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The family room booked by us wasn't the same as described. The room windows turn to the basement, not a backyard, as described. Plus, the generator nose was disturbing even with the closed window. But good things that the staff could change for us another suite.

Anton was a friendy staff who helped with arranging parking just a few hours before our arrival. Anton also contacted me afterwards to let me know I fogot something and where they should ship it to. I said it was meant to be left behind but thanks for reaching out. Fridge in the room and very big room + stairs up to the bedroom

No bar in the hotel. The parking facilities could be better.

I really like this hotel, it is clean, comfortable and in a good location. The hotel staff are very friendly and check in/out is smooth. The rooms are very nice, some are renovated some are not, but they are still clean, and comfortable and a nice experience. The breakfasts are nice but have a limited selection of options.

More options for breakfast would be nice.

Everything continued excellent as in every year, with very good staff and cleaning. Even their most modest rooms are good. They shut down the good but little used restaurant, but there 50 places within a mile, including coffee in a quit bookstore a few years away.

The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. I had a great few nights staying here. The breakfasts are tasty and I highly reccomend.

The towels that were in my room were slightly thread bare and ripped in places and will need replacing in the future. This is not a major issue and would not let it detectract from the hotel and the great stay I had.

Fabulous place, returning there again and again. Location, cleanness, service - all top. Welcoming reception team. Shelter - 1 minute to go. My favorite place to stay while in Kyiv.

All was perfect except of Wi-Fi reception (only in our room, no problem in the other parts of the hotel as far as I am concerned)

Subway lime is just underneath the hotel so be ready to wake up because of the noise and vibrations of the passing train, during the day doesn’t bother that much but at night and early morning it’s quite annoying Breakfast is not worth it, better to go outside to have same or least expensive and better breakfast.

Absolutely top-notch. Elegant interiors, flawless service, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax. The location is perfect for exploring the city, and the spa was a real highlight. Highly recommend — a hidden gem!
