Friendly staff. Good value for money

Location was little to far from public transport

Our room was furnished very modern. It was very clean, big tv, air conditioning , comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities. All the staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. It was ok to leave our bags in the hotel after check out because we were only leaving Dubai in the evening, very much appreciated.

It is not a real dislike of the hotel but more a warning concerning the location. Read up on the location of this hotel and see if it is suitable for you. The area is not glamorous as some parts of Dubai. I was aware and kind of enjoyed to see this other side of the city but it probably is not for everybody.

I stayed at the Garden City for 5 nights. The hotel is located in Old Dubai, and the nearest metro station is about a 15-20 minute walk away. So it's not super central. But you can get everywhere by metro, it just takes a little longer to get there. However, it can quickly get cozy in the metro during rush hour. The room was big enough for one person, and I didn't find the breakfast boring at all. It was enough for a solid start to the day. If you're expecting a large 5-star buffet, you should book a different hotel. The Wi-Fi was good and stable throughout the hotel. You can also do your laundry there. There are plenty of small shops nearby where you can also get something to drink. Larger supermarkets are between 10 and 15 minutes away, depending on where you want to shop. The price was OK for a weekday. But prices in Dubai are generally not that cheap.

Overall acceptable hotel and families can use it too. Lot of restaurants and shops nearby. Bus station is near, metro is not near but can also be reached on foot.

price is a little higher for this type of property. If you get a room near lifts then noise of people and staff is ver ydisturbing. But they did change my room and it was quite peaceful.

Our stay at The Garden City Hotel in Deira, Dubai, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff, starting from the security personnel to the front desk team. Their hospitality was evident from the very beginning, making us feel at home. The check-in process was smooth and efficient—we didn’t have to wait long in the lobby before being guided to our rooms. The rooms were impeccably clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Every detail was well taken care of, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The bathrooms were spotless, always fresh, and filled with a pleasant fragrance. Housekeeping was prompt and diligent, servicing our room daily and replenishing all essentials without fail. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible staff. Their friendliness and warm smiles created a welcoming atmosphere throughout our visit. Steve, at the front desk, was exceptionally helpful, always staying in touch with us and assisting with anything we needed. His dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out. The dining experience at the hotel was delightful. Every morning, we were treated to a delicious and diverse breakfast with a wide range of options to choose from. A special mention goes to Vignesh in the restaurant, who was incredibly attentive and accommodating. He ensured we had everything we needed during our meals and even assisted us in making our own tea, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. The security staff, especially the gentleman at the bell desk, was fantastic. He was always courteous, greeting us warmly whenever we entered or left the hotel. Additionally, he went out of his way to help us with our luggage, making our arrival and departure seamless. On the day of our departure, the lady at the front desk provided excellent assistance in arranging a taxi to the airport at a reasonable price, ensuring we had a hassle-free journey.

The only downside of our stay was the hotel’s location. However, this is simply the nature of Deira and in no way a reflection of the hotel itself.

Its a great hotel. Welcoming staff specially the guy at the reception at night. Very helpful. They accommodated us very well as we had a very late 03am check in. The rooms were nice, clean, quiet and comfortable. There was plenty of complimentary tea, coffee and water in the room. Bathrooms were nice, clean and modern. Plenty of hot water with good pressure. Breakfast was above average. Had the basics plus they would have some curry with pooris (fried bread) or fried chicken with potatoes apart from the usual eggs, boiled eggs, orange and apple juice, melon fruit salad, cereals, tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, and jam. May have missed one or 2 items. Location for us was great as it was close to the airport but also there were plenty of local shops and restaurants around aa well as a Naif Souk market great for abayas for women and also a hyper market nearby. WiFi was free and good worked for us well.

The pillows were very thick so had to sleep without the pillows.

Just got back from my stay and wow, talk about excellent service! 🤩 The hotel room itself was top-notch, so comfy and spacious. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, especially at the reception desk(Mr.Steven he is very friendly support us) . The whole place was sparkling clean ✨,and also near to the metro station, bus station ,shopping mall and famous area. 🚆 🚉 which I really appreciate. The hotel was really clean and amazing. The receptionist(Deborah) , the chef (Thomas), and the security(Godwin) all of them were veryyyy sweet and humble. Whenever we needed something, it was done within minutes. The food (morning buffet) was exceptional. There was soooo much variety everyday. Chef Thomas prepared different items everyday and all of them were really tasty. There was rice ,noodles ,salad , chicken sausages, gravy and also chappathi, poori and some more indian items. Everything was exceptional. I stayed in Garden city hotel for 7 days and it was amazing. Will definitely go back. Thank you all for everything.

It’s affordable and located near to downtown city and near to gold souq, local restaurants are available nearby. Government parking is free from 10pm to 8am. Need to pay 4 AED per hour for parking provided by government, private parking 10 AED per hour and hotel provides paid parking advance booking, only 2 spots available. I chose government parking, need little search for parking spots.

Breakfast was continental type, Indian breakfast not available and rooms are little small but ok. Inside room they provide mini bar, need to pay for eating anything from it. No free parking. Only shower in bathroom, no hand spray in bath shower room.

The staff were exceptional and extremely kind.The housekeeper was a very nice chap and ensured he did his job 110%. The location was great too, very old style Dubai with lots of exploring and buses and train within walking distance. Had breakfast across each days, very delicious and allowed us to have what we want and as much as we desire. A security guard on main door for that extra comfort and safety although crime is almost non-existent in Deira, Dubai. Room had air con, uses a laundry service at reasonable price, has a gym top floor I believe, a reasonable sized fridge to store your groceries, a wardrobe and a safe to store your personal belogings safely. Plenty of shops nearby too. If you are thinking about this hotel, as a Brit, it's a very great location and a fantastic hotel. Its an absolute bargain for what you get. Nothing to dislike. It was just that good!
