The hotel was in a perfect location in Amesbury with a lot of really cool historical sights nearby. Just a short drive away from Stonehenge, which was the purpose of our visit, it offered excellent value for money.

The only slight negative with the room itself was instead of a double bed, there were two single beds pushed together, which wouldn't normally be a problem but the beds were different heights which took a bit of adjustment to get used to.

The property was nice but there is no lift and there are steps to the front door.

The room wasn’t great. It was supposed to be twin beds but was pushed together with a double fitted sheet holding the 2 mattresses together. Luckily my friend couldn’t make it so it wasn’t too much of an issue. Cobwebs in corner. Tv not tuned to channels. No information on how to turn down the heater. Overloaded adapter socket. However the staff were fantastic and gave me help when I needed it.

Great location within easy walking of the town centre and on the A303 which leads out towards Stonehenge. We were there for the solstice and it couldn’t have been better. Friendly staff and a fabulous garden at the back.

My only negative comments that the bathroom was a bit shabby and could do with a makeover.

Stella and her husband Gary were excellent hosts very friendly and gave us some interesting history of the building. Recommend staying during the summer solstice as its close to the British Heritage site Stonehenge. Pubs and shopping so close by, and eateries on the doorstep.

We liked our stay and wish the staff the best for the future .

Perfect for a quick night's stay. Staff were really friendly and patient when our car had a puncture late in the evening just 4 miles from the destination and were very helpful in storing our bikes while we resolved the tyre in the morning. Perhaps a little more than what we wanted to spend but it is peak summer. The place certainly has it's history but the rooms are more than adequate in quality.

the staff were extremely friendly and helpful through-out my stay. The location was perfect as everything was in walking distance. the room was extremely spacious and well thought-out

the only thing i could say to improve on, is to have a do not disturb sign to put on the door because after travelling i slept in late the next morning

Second stay here after about 30years! Loved it first time and after many years overseas, found it as delightful as ever. The room was airy and decor restful. Comfortable and spotless. Could only stay one night and unfortunate ly unable to samp!e the Thai menu as my husband had a bout of vertigo with nausea so no restaurant for us. However, breakfast was very good ( he only had cereal 😕 ) in a light, with conservatory. We love the history and antiquity of the building.

Parking! A pay and display across the road wrongly printed the ticket although we had asked for overnight stay. But the charming and on so helpful receptionist came to our aid. We couldn't thank her enough.

The Antrobus Hotel is a lovely old building and the private garden was an unexpected bonus, very relaxing and you wouldn’t know you were in the middle of a busy little town. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the linen all spotless and the breakfast really excellent. I would certainly stay there again.

The building was a bit shabby and in need of some work and redecoration but I guess we all know how the hospitality industry was hit by lockdown. It was a shame but wouldn’t put me off a return vist.
