Breakfast was excellent, the room was fairly spacious (I was in the Shed), the bed was comfy and the shower was good. Tea and coffee making equipment was available as was a comfortable lounge if you wanted to relax outside the room. The location is easy to get to but a bit of a distance from the actual village if you wish to walk to eat/drink locally in the evening and there are no street lights or pavements in parts so driving a better option.

I didn't like being chased for a check-in time as I was en route from visiting a friend and could not give a specific time. A 2 .5hr check-in window was given and I aimed to meet that and would've rung if unable to comply.

The owner was really friendly and welcoming 🙏 I had a nice clean room with three beds)The bed linen was cleaned and fresh 👌 I stayed just one night together with two kids. The breakfast was included in our price, so I was thrilled about full English breakfast for all of us. Caroline is the best chef. Thank you so much! The food was very well served, cleaned table and plates. It is really important for me. I was feeling as a queen that day!

The TV in my room didn't include kids' channels. There were regular TV problems, but not a single for the kids). It was just my problem while I was travelling with two kids. They were desperate to watch something at 6 p.m.

Excellent cooked full English breakfast, tasty and beautifully presented. The bed and breakfast was fairly fully booked, so we had to wait for a second sitting, but knew that in advance. It meant we could linger a little.

Caroline was lovely, and very responsive to our need to drop our bags and head out for dinner. Everything was just as advertised and we were very comfortable. The only negative was that we could not easily access wifi, probably because there is not good reception in the village anyway and the accommodation was full.

Gorgeous room with an en-suite in a lovely quiet location. The property doesn’t serve dinner but I knew this in advance and the room had a lovely local guide in so this wasn’t a problem.

The mattress would benefit from a mattress topper, I could feel quite a few springs through it.

Suited my needs perfectly. Arrived late and left early.

My room was not en-suite, just a private bathroom that required stepping into the passage and back into the bathroom next door. I was expecting this and it was fine but some may not like it. Most rooms appear to be en-suite though so be careful when you book if this is important to you.

My second stay at Cleaver Cottage and just as relaxing and enjoyable as the first. Although the purpose of my visits is to visit my mother in Basingstoke, I would rather travel the extra few miles to stay at Cleaver Cottage here I know I will be comfortable. I will definitely be staying again when I next visit.

Was only staying 1 night on route from relatives but very pleasant overnighter Spacious & comfortable room. Breakfast was plentiful & delicious.

Sadly I was staying during the bad weather of rain & high winds & that affected their router so I couldn't take advantage of the free wifi.

This place is fantastic. It's in a little village 2 miles away from Andover. Easy to find with plenty of parking. The room was spacious with a well equipped hospitality tray and TV. There is WiFi and a hairdryer if you need one. The bathroom had toiletries and a very large fluffy towel. Even though it faces the main road into the village but it is very quiet. Breakfast was plentiful, and I had a full English on both mornings. I'm booking again for next month.

Nothing not to like, everything was great.

Comfy bed, fantastic cooked breakfast, with a nice strong pot of coffee, no better way to start the day.

Would have liked an on suite room, especially when having to get up in the middle of the night to use the facilities ( worried that unlocking and re locking the bedroom door would wake other people) knowing that not all rooms have an un suite bathroom in future I will request this on booking. it will not put me off staying again.

Ideal location for a stopover for my works Christmas party. Lovely property with excellent rooms. Very helpful hostess, especially as the power went off, and she was still able to serve a delicious full breakfast.
