The location was perfect as it was right in the town centre and the Lights Theatre were an easy 10 minutes walk. The front of the hotel is now a Pizza Express, so the reception is at the rear. The reception leads into a courtyard where limited drinks are available. The courtyard and free hotel car park are surrounded by rooms that give it more of a motel feel. There is no proper bar or restaurant (other than for breakfast), but you are a stones throw from pubs and eateries. The room was clean with tea making, and a decent bath/shower. For the price paid the room was excellent value for money. Would stay there again if attending the towns theatre.

No soap or shower gel provided, but reception soon remedied this. The cleaner must have forgot. The hotel is old, and the room and bed seemed on a slope. Nothing else to mention

Great location for touring around the Salisbury, Winchester, Stonehenge area. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Andover is a pleasant, small town with a lot of pubs and restaurants. We really enjoyed the Light of India. Some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had. There’s a Pizza Express immediately adjacent to the hotel which was also quite good and convenient. The hotel breakfast was top notch! Andover had a number of stores where you could pickup snacks and sundries too.

We liked everything about it!

My sister and I stayed in a ground floor accessible room as she has mobility issues and needs a wheeled walker to get about. When we arrived the lovely lady on reception came to show us to our room and fitted an extra grab rail in the bathroom. Very thoughtful. Comfy beds and plenty of hot water for baths or showers. Tea/coffee making facilities with nice biscuits and bottled water. A hairdryer and iron/ironing board all in the room, toiletries too. The breakfast was delicious - hot cooked food, pastries, cereal, fruit, yoghurts, tea, coffee and juice all on offer. We really enjoyed that and were not made to feel rushed at all. Free parking too - such a bonus!

All good for us

This hotel, partly in an old building is great. Our room was very comfortable and clean. It was also situated in a lovely old part of this building. Breakfast was good and I was delighted to see tinned tomatoes instead of half grilled ones. It would have been nice to have had some hash browns but that is just our preferred choice. Parking on site was great and the hotel is situated right in the heart of the town. All of the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. We were visiting relatives in the area for the weekend and we would definitely stay here again.

Although we were on the first floor the stairs presented a bit of a problem to me as there was no lift and I am currently on crutches. We also only had one pillow each but reception were happy to give us another each when we asked.

This hotel is very convenient, as a lady from Andover visiting my father being situated close to all the amenities and a short drive to visit my dad the location is perfect. The room was clean and the towels were fabulous.

You only give one pillow each which was quite disappointing. When we stay at other hotels there are generally two pillows provided with either two spare or four pillows on the bed. Fortunately the night porter found an empty room and gave my husband and I the two pillows from that room. Honestly, two pillows each I feel is standard practice, so if there were any negative feedback it is to provide four pillows in double and twin rooms and make this your standard practice. If you were fully booked we’d have been left with just one pillow each. This will sadly slightly put us off booking again.

the staff was lovely, friendly and very welcoming. Very helpful when I accidentally wiped my key card and couldn't get back into my room and told me to keep it away from my phone. Also very helpful when I had a few questions as well. Parking was easy to find following the instructions that the hotel sent out prior. Lovely location as on the highstreet. Hotel was lovely and clean. The room size was amazing for what I paid for. Very spacious. Bathroom was good. Bed very comfortable to sleep. Breakfast was good and freshly cooked Perfect for one or two night stays Would stay again though

Tv remote didn't work all of the time but didn't watch TV much. Can't help next to two pubs but the noise outside could be heard even when windows shut but i know the hotel can't control the noise. Didn't know how to work the extractor fan so some instructions could been helpful Staff may need to be more aware of certain conversations and language when around customers (I.e. at breakfast and could hear them from the kitchen while having breakfast in the breakfast room due to the doors being open)

Everything was fine from the welcome to leaving. We will return. Room was better than expected, clean, quiet, comfortable.

Smallest of small hiccups – Was a little unsure on arrival over payment as we had thought we were paying booking.com but had to pay at desk, which meant we had to check account to avoid paying twice. Reception was very helpful and understanding though. Plus it might help to keep gate open to High street to at least 11pm to avoid having to walk all around the block to the rear door. But these are really nit-picking issues as the stay was excellent.

Very good value. Clean, lovely spacious room, comfy bed, old beamed bedroom, private outside seating area. Fantastic breakfast every choice available. We were able to book family to come and join us for breakfast which made our wedding celebrations end nicely. Really lovely staff, we were even given a wedding card as we had got married that day. Even though it was in the centre of town we didn’t hear any noise, it was a weekday so may be different at a weekend. The couple of our friends who stayed over night felt the same.

Maybe not having air conditioning as would imagine it would be very hot in a heatwave. Although fans were provided.

As someone who is gluten free it is often difficult to find a hotel/B&B who accommodate for it - most places will just remove items and sub them for something else, however as soon as we came down to breakfast I was given GF bread, the option to use a GF toaster and was also asked if I wanted them to cook some GF sausages. VERY IMPRESSED, VERY HAPPY :) My partner is also a fussy pup when it comes to breakfast and he was very happy with the selection and taste of the breakfast (particularly the bacon). Bed was very comfortable (soft) and there were some nice touches with bottles of water, biscuits etc in the room. Super friendly and welcoming staff.

It was quite hard to find a happy medium with the water temp in the shower, it was either too hot or too cold, not a huge fuss as there was also a bath, so found it easier to control the temp that way.

Location in Andover is central and convenient, with vehicle parking at the rear. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent including fresh and organic food items (and some other organic products eg.soap noted). The staff were friendly and very helpful. We left an item behind by accident and they were great, promptly getting it back to us. A much nicer hotel than many other places that you could pay the same kind of rate for.

Nothing really. The room was rather warm without any heating apparently being on - which was actually a plus point for us on this occasion, but might have seemed a bit oppressive to some - however we probably could have opened the window or switched on aircon if we'd wanted to...
