The owner of the property met me at the gate, to let my car in. She was very welcoming & relaxed. The room was spacious, light & airy, with beautiful country views out of the windows. Bathroom was superb, with one of the best showers I have ever used - a nice sized cubicle that contained all the splashing of water so you could relax. There was also a nice big bath if I had wanted to use that instead. Breakfast was continental style. Everything that you could have wanted (& more) was there & of a good quality. I had a big bowl of Muesli & a banana, oh & a couple of yoghurts. There was plenty of other stuff available also. I will definitely stay there again when I am in that area.

An exceptional B&B style accommodation. Immaculately clean, and beautifully presented in stunning, silent surroundings of arable Berkshire farmlands. Jenny is a delightful, welcoming host whose standards are clearly tip top. For a single person or couple wishing to get away for long country walks, look no further. It really doesn’t get better than this - and, believe me, I’m fussy.

Absolutely nothing. It’s a perfect spot for some quiet R&R. No shops, no noise but lovely walks to good pubs and places to eat.

Everything is excellent at Tached Cottage. Warm welcome by Jenny and the dogs. Very spacious light and comfortable room with spacious bathroom. Small kitchenette with facilities to make coffee and tea. Breakfast items are ready in the fridge. On the table a bowl of fruit. We have stayed here 3 times now and will definitely come back.

The room was extremely large overlooking fields. Beautiful sunrise. It was immaculately presented and very clean. A continental breakfast was provided in the room to have at your leisure at the dining table. Another fantastic stay and a deep sleep on the extra comfy bed in peace and quiet.

Very welcoming and a beautiful place- it should be mentioned that, despite the name, it is no longer thatched. Jenny was very helpful and her two dogs made a fuss of us. Breakfast was‘continental’ and served in our room

There was nothing not to like

The host was very welcoming and the accommodation was very comfortable and spacious. Located in a peaceful location yet very close to Hungerford with all its facilities.

Everything was remarkable - size of the room, quality of bathroom, furniture and all.settings. The owner Jenny was very friendly and made me feel at home. The breakfast was also great. The fact that this wonderful place is some minor miles away from Hungerford does not at all matter considering how nice and wonderful this stay was. Thank you very much, 100 percent recommendable. Beautiful quiet location and lovely garden. Huge bedroom very tastefully furnished. Large, well equipped bathroom. Spotlessly clean throughout. Warm welcome from great host Jenny. Excellent in room facilities for drinks/breakfast and plenty of food for breakfast.

very nice rural B&B. Very kindly received by Jenny and her 2 dogs. We immediately felt at ease. Very spacious room with large bathroom with bath and shower. Kitchenette with refrigerator and coffee and tea making facilities. The breakfast was good and ready in the refrigerator. We stayed 2 nights and booked the same night for our trip in September. Bed was large and comfortable

The room was immaculate and cosy, we felt at home straight away. The bed and linen was so comfortable we both slept well and enjoyed our breakfast and coffee. We also loved the bathroom with the elegant free standing bath and excellent products and scent. The host was really accommodating and took care of us after a long day of travelling, offering to drive us to the local pub for dinner which was delicious. It was the best place we stayed in on our long weekend and would recommend this property!
