The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple and in the room: pre-packaged croissants with butter and jam, cold cereal selection, fruit, coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, biscuits. It was perfect for what we needed. The location was central to the areas we were interested in visiting. i would recommend it for travelers interested in the Stonehenge UNESCO site, including Stonehenge and associated smaller sites. it is pretty close to the motorway. There were extra blankets on the bed, which were very nice and cozy. We had dinner in the pub one night that they were doing a pub quiz, which was quite fun. The quiz master is quite the character! It was mostly locals, but they were all very open and welcoming.
The fold-out double bed was very uncomfortable and seemed a little small for a double. (The single beds were great!) The room was very cold one of the days that we were there, but it was fine.

A friend was in the area and suggested meeting there for a meal. I decided to stay the night. Arrived 3pm. Lovely reception from manager (?) showed me to my room. Offered to change the heating. No. It was as I prefer. Nice chat with him in the bar. Brilliant 'traditional' bar. Patio area to sit out in the sun. Dinner very good. Great food. Great service. Not expenseive. Building is near a road so traffic noise unavoidable. Nice touch = ear plugs provided. Good night's sleep. Good continental breakfast with butter, milk, orange juice in the mini-fridge. On-line booking was easy. No hassle with use of their Wi-Fi while there.
No sure.

We stayed on New Year's Eve arriving at 1300hrs, when we enjoyed a lovely lunch from the 3 course menu. A good selection which was reasonably priced. Choice of 3 ales on tap. The room was clean complete with everything we required, including fridge. The items for the continental breakfast were supplied, and put in the fridge. The staff were very friendly and most helpful in this community owned pub. We were made very welcome at the evening do in the pub, which was a very enjoyable night. Thank you all.
The following morning there was a shortage of hot water in shower and sink, requiring boiling of the kettle. Perhaps in the excitement of New Year's eve there was an oversite with the immersion heater / boiler?

Breakfast was in a fridge in the room - this worked well for us as we needed to leave early to make an appointment. Quality and quantity of the breakfast was sufficient although some might want the full english experience. The evening meal was good.
On a relatively busy road which coupled with a hot evening and night meant that the windows needed to be open - this meant for a restless night. NB the pub does offer ear plugs to counter this - these were on the bathroom shelf

A community-run pub which commands the loyalty of the locals to a remarkable degree; conversations are interesting and entertaining. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. Its refurbishment was notably successful. The evening menu is varied, and all we tried was excellently prepared and presented. The accommodation is attractive, carefully designed and convenient and immaculate. There is no cooked breakfast, but all the materials one could wish for a self-service continental one.The kind of place one invents excuses to revisit
Wouldn't change a thing

Excellent location just off the M4 . Great food in the bar / restaurant with very hospitable hosts. Nice touch with the continental breakfast . Croissant jams butter yogurt cereal and a full 1/2 to a pint of milk and orange juice Good size fridge in room too. Plug sockets with USB connection. Books to read in the room . All round excellent value for money
If you’re a light sleeper the fridge condenser sometimes kicks in. Earplugs are provided if it woukd be an issue

For a continental spread, laid out in the room the night before, the breakfast was exceptional. Light, flaky croissants, ice cold real milk and orange juice in the fridge and top notch yoghurts. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy without being cramped. The only downside is the proximity to the road, but even that didn't warrant the supplied ear plugs (in our case). We had a very enjoyable meal and several delicious pints as well. Highly recommended!

Room was reasonable size and bathroom had a bath which is a plus. Decent towels and some toiletries provided. The continental breakfast left in room was a croissant, yoghurts, orange juice, two types of cereal, jam and butter, oranges and a jug of milk so could make proper tea! Biscoff biscuits also provided. Pub was very welcoming both from staff and customers. Local beers on which were well kept. We didn't eat as not hungry but saw the food which looked and smelt delicious with generous portions. We were there as a night between a trip to Newbury races and before a stable visit in Lambourn and it was ideally placed for both. Price was very good value.

The breakfast was excellent. It was left in our room which had a fridge and was good quality with everything we could want. The staff were accommodating & friendly.
The noise of the traffic as we had to have windows open (ear plugs were provided though). It was a shame the pub closed at 5pm so only just squeezed in a quick drink. A bit disconcerting being on our own in the building on Sun night to Mon.

well appointed room (it even had a fridge! a welcome surprise) and very clean. Very good size bath towels and good supply of soaps. Breakfast DIY was good (croissants with butter and jams, cereals, biscuits). Staff nice and helpful. Meal in the pub was really good.
Only downside was a noise coming from some sort of machine (air conditioning perhaps) from inside the property which was on all night so made it difficult to sleep. PS: May apply only for the room we stayed in called THE NEST.
