The staff welcomed me at check-in and where there when I returned at around 21.45 for the night. Alas, the bar was by then closed so I couldn't enjoy a locally made nightcap, but I appreciate that trade is quiet and not worth keeping the lights on if no one is coming for a meal or drink. I slept really well on super comfy bed, had a great shower in the morning and on leaving discovered the waterside area! What a treat!! So, in all a great experience to be thoroughly recommended. Many thanks and best wishes for the future; you've got a brilliant place! Jon

We were able to meet up with some friends who came to join us for an evening meal. Our dog was made welcome and there were good places to walk locally. The bed was very comfortable with quality linen, excellent pillows and lovely towels. Manager and staff were very helpful and pleasant despite being extremely busy in the restaurant.

Rather surprisingly, breakfast was not available but there is a Farm Shop cafe just up the road, We were however provided with a lovely muffin each and there were tea and coffee facilities in the room.

The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Although no breakfast was served, the room was equipped with great tea and coffee-making facilities, and we were provided with delicious muffins and biscuits.

The downstairs pub stops serving at 10pm, which is a little early - especially in an area which is fairly desolate, and there's very little else to do in the evenings. While it's normal to expect the kitchen to close, it would have been nice to see the bar remain open for longer.

Good location and really clean nice decor and staff were fabulous

It’s on the main A4 which we knew but the traffic took some getting used to when trying to sleep but we got used to it after the first night also the plumbing for bath and toilet needs to be improved and a bathroom bin would have been good !

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. I had previously eaten at The Pelican Inn with my daughter and had a really enjoyable meal, so when I needed to find accommodation in the area, I knew the food would be good 😋

The weather has been very warm lately and I did find it very warm sleeping as there is not any air conditioning. We used the blackout blinds too, which meant we did not get a cooling breeze. We had a very noisy neighbour who was awake early.......

Very friendly staff, available on short notice, cozy room. Some coffee/tea options in the room and even got a muffin for breakfast. Amazing dinner at the restaurant!

No breakfast options. Only one duvet the first night and when we asked for a second they only could provide towels because the housekeeping room was already locked. Fortunately the second night we were able to get a second one.

The food at the Pelican was exceptional and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. We booked very last minute and they were very accomodating.

One of the two rooms was a little noisy I think perhaps an ac unit on the roof.

Loved the restaurant and the comfy bed

Wi-Fi really dodgy - didn’t work at all overnight and had to reconnect to hotel Wi-Fi every time I wanted to send a message - no one could phone in all evening either
