When the day approached that we were staying at the Green Dragon in Marlborough, I read the emails carefully and was a little concerned about no parking on the premises, sloping floors, low ceilings and steep stairs. The truth of the matter was, parking is available out the front of the premises between certain hours free of charge..ie at night when we arrived. The stair case was small and easy to climb. The low ceilings and sloping floors added to the character and experience. The food was top quality. The room was beautifully decorated, the beds were very comfortable, the en-suite was convenient and clean and the windows overlooking the High Street were easy to open. My only negative comment would be the flower boxes in the windows. The plants were dead and spider webs everywhere. That could be looked after better, but other than that one little thing which doesn't affect your stay, it was one of the best stays we have had on our UK holiday.

This was a gem. A very old building with interesting features. * The room- Looks into the street. Spacious room. Pretty bed. Pretty fireplace feature. Delightfully wonky floors. A lovely staircase to the roll top bath. Large bathroom. * The pub- pleasant staff. Tasty beer. Active fire basket in a pretty fireplace. The pleasant scent of a wood fire. * Parking- on roadside until 8.30am. Paid day parking in centre of road max two hours using parking app. Longer term parking I didn’t look for but apparently is behind Boots/Superdrug. * Shops- lovely set of options. Shops typically opening 9 or 10am, mostly after ten.

Nothing. Really nice. I just needed somewhere to wait out the weather and this was perfect. A little sound transfer from downstairs and street but hey- it’s a tavern in a rather splendid, characterful old building; irrelevant, just an honest remark.

Great location on the high street in Marlborough. An old building with all that comes with an old building, uneven floors, low ceilings, bumped heads a few times. The room was hot in the summer so we slept with the windows open onto the street below, some noise from the pub downstairs through the window but that was to be expected.

Car parking is available not far and at a very good price, though no details provided in advance on the site

Central location and very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very clean and had the character you might expect in such an old building - sloping floors, twisty access and low ceiling in the bathroom. A very comfortable stay.

It was hot at night so we needed the window open but, being on the High Street, there was some noise from traffic and the market being set up in the morning. Nothing too disturbing though.

Room was really lovely and the staff were all friendly. It was perfect for a 1 night stop off. Paint in the bathroom was a bit cracked and could probably do with some TLC but it didn't affect our stay at all. We were expecting a little bit of noise during the night especially being a Friday night in a pub which there was a little bit but it didn't bother us. The high street was lovely and full of shops and places to eat. We would stay here again. :)

Expected noise or music from bar below but had not really accounted for people from bar standing outside, swearing, talking really loudly, presumably whilst smoking, until Bar closed at 1am. Also, whilst very old building, the plumbing will have been refurbished in recent years and Water In shower was only just warm enough at times and then freezing cold the rest! Very good Valley for money, however and would stay there again

The Green Dragon is right in the centre of Marlborough, so location wise, it was perfect. Parking was available to us as we arrived on a Saturday evening and the town centre parking charges stop at 6pm and don't apply on Sunday. The room was clean and well prepared. As the pub is in a very old building the floor was far from level, which added to the charm. However, the stairs were narrow and steep - so would be a struggle for some. There were no breakfast facilities, but that was not an issue for us.

Was a nice smaller sized room but not cramped. Very old building so you’ve got to expect uneven floors etc. beds were comfy and staff were nice. Only downside due new was the price but that’s to be expected with its location i suppose. Noise, there’s noise from below but again to be expected being above a pub.

No breakfast available here. Would have been nice to at least have some cereal before i left for the day.

Shame the pub didn’t have a wider menu for food. We did eat there but it seemed very limited. I feel they are missing a trick there. Be careful of the parking situation. We did park in the road and got a ticket. I successfully challenged it as the signage was so poor, but it must be a real money maker for the council.

Very quaint, traditional inn. My room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Good sized bathroom too. My friends occupied two other rooms, both of which were of which were as good. The staff here were particularly friendly, helpful and efficient. It is quite a busy inn, but they have it under control. Fantastic location in the middle of the high street. Various car parks to choose from and within walking distance. Reasonably priced too. No breakfast here but they do state this when booking. Plenty of cafe's to get breakfast from on the high street so not a problem.
