Welcoming staff (especially Bridget, the manager) who went well above and beyond to make our stay ‘work’ - especially thanks for accommodating our dog after my error in not explaining we were bringing her. We were so grateful. Not only that thought, they were hugely accommodating in all respects. The room was super clean and provided everything we needed - even down to authentic Yorkshire tea bags! Very comfortable bed and great shower (with gel and shampoo 🙏). Very quiet too, even though close to road - could only hear the birds when we woke up!

My partner, dog and I stayed in three different places over the course of bank holiday weekend and this was by far our favourite!! The room was so cosy and comfortable; it had a real nice personal touch to it and felt like a home rather than a hotel. The freestanding cast iron claw bath was exquisite - I’ve already demanded getting one for our bathroom! The ladies behind the counter were really helpful, friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and really good value for money. Our breakfast (which was included in the price) totally worth it! There was no additional charge to have the dog with us and there was a lovely walk right behind the inn/pub. 10/10, can’t fault the place. Honestly!! Would recommend and stay here again!

Perfect for us and the dog, near the park and hospital, we were visiting a relative. The food was good too both evening meal and the breakfast - both extremely good. Early check in at 2:00 and parking also a bonus.

Breakfast was from 9:00 and with a 10:00 checkout made the departure morning a bit of a rush. But minor inconvenience, especially with the context of the early check-in and quality of the breakfast.

The staff were lovely, the food is good,room was comfortable and location is beautiful albeit by a busy dual carriageway. The pub is warm and cosy. The outside has plenty of seating area whether you're popping in on your way home from work or going for a catch-up with loved ones, there's a play area for kids, it's pretty good. If you want to stay somewhere with good atmosphere and good food, this is the place for you

The local traffic noise which obviously can't be helped, it didn't bother us but one of the residents moaned about noise

Room was very clean, quiet,had good quality black out curtains. Yorkshire Tea & Nescafé refreshments. Iron & ironing board. Table n chairs outside & included breakfast for less than £90. Very efficient check in& put by friendly staff. Even better 5 mins to work that day! I have paid a lot more at other places and not received such good value, card or attention

only one bad thing about it. bed! its not a king or full size bed its 2 single beds attached together and 2 single mattresses. and really bad thing about it is mattresses is bad, ( maybe old) its too soft and in the middle there is a hole worn out , so we waked up with back pain. change the mattresses and it will be excellent.

Friendly staff, nice food

Expensive for RIAT weekend, like a lot places are when they have a major event down the road. Don’t blame owners for doing it if they can cash in but it’s more than doubled over last 2 years, and will be even more next year. Might consider camping and then places like Sun Inn won’t get any business from RIAT goers after a couple of years

Not like a chain hotel which makes it nice. Well equipped room with all necessaries like kettle, iron, hairdryer and good coffee (Tylers) and biscuits. Big car park next to the Inn Located close to a park, nice area for walking or jogging.

Breakfast was served from 8 which is quite late for a work related stay. Also, a bit disappointed as there was no fruit, yogurt or heathy cold options, only high sugar cereals. The noise from the pub beer garden can seep through in the evening. It is open until 11pm.

It's the little things. Nice tea and coffee. A glass as well as a cup. Plugs by the bed. A nice shower. Then the big things. With 2 little dogs, having a door to the outside, having places to walk, the Coates water park is amazing. A very dog friendly pub. Breakfast included. The staff are nice. For us, it is a perfect place as a stop over between Somerset and Buckinghamshire.

Maybe bedside lights as the top lights were very bright.

Accommodation suited us being on the ground floor with easy access. We had our dog with us and the Inn backs on to a very large park area with no charge to enter. Just walked from our room straight to the park. Staff could not have been more helpful. We thought there would be a lot of road noise but in fact there was very little as the accommodation is tucked away behind the Inn.
