ROOM 35 - nice size, However the toilet is scratched which just looks unsightly, paint stains and wear marks on the carpet need addressing. Dyson hairdryer - whilst a luxury item, did not work properly and needed replacing which makes it an expensive extravagance. Bottled Water whilst a nice touch was not topped up enough and when asked for replacement the reply was it is locked away which creates a small annoyance. The soft door closers aren't very good which results in the doors slamming shut

Booking in process. Staff brilliant as my wife had a medical issue whilst we were there & they couldn't have been more helpful or understanding. Leisure facilities very good & room facilities are also very good.

Walkway in dining room to bar a hazard as the carpeted step is not clearly marked and I actually tripped resulting in cuts & bruises. Apparently it's not the first time this has happened! Bedrooms looking a little dated & bathroom needing attention as shower leaked over floor & toilet roll holder under sink not a good idea ! No gluten free cereal available despite requesting it when booking !

When you arrive it looks very plain from the entrance. But once inside it it is far from plain from the smart reception area to the large comfortable it is very nice. When you go into the bar the views from the patio are stunning. The pool and health suite are the smartest I have ever used. Breakfast was excellent.

The bar and restaurant are on top of each other meaning when I sat to have a quiet drink the waiting staff were constantly buzzing around. I also feel although a bar menu is offered you have to sit in the main restraint to eat so nowhere you can just have a casual meal. When I asked the barman he said yes the main restaurant area was the only area to eat in. Seems to defeat the term bar menu.

The staff were very kind and helpful. A breath of fresh air really. The changing room to the pool was very clean, in fact the morning we were leaving there was a member of staff cleaning in there. It makes a refreshing change to go away and the changing rooms in the pool to that clean and well looked after. Pool was really nice, unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t explore further. But the grounds and view were beautiful. Food was nice at our evening meal. Sorbet was lovely. Fresh coffee served at breakfast! Not a serve yourself coffee machine in sight!!!! For which I thank you!!! 😀 Lovely fresh fruits.

Bathroom in our room was a little tired I feel like the quality of the breakfast could be elevated a bit with better quality sausages & bread. Kids chicken goujons could be homemade and different chips served with them as most kids don’t like chunky chips. These things didn’t spoil our stay - just some constructive criticism rather than a moan.

The hotel is large and has some rooms in an annexe which I thought gave more privacy. We dined in the restaurant and the food was very good. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of dishes.

Check in was not until 3pm which is fairly standard but I asked if I could use the pool as I had arrived early at 1:30 and was told there was a charge of £10 as I hadn’t checked in. The pool was not being used by anyone else. I thought this was an excessive charge for 90 minutes and slightly petty. So decided to wait until after 3pm. It hasn’t encouraged me to want to return.

The one thing that really stood out for me is the amazing day day shift worker that was so helpful and I really think she should be recognised by the company for the way she would cheer you up and take time to speak to you. I highly recommend it Kayla is the cleaner with blonde hair look out for her

BOOKING.COM the poor customer service and being charged for things that they had plenty of time to sort out. I can't fault hotel just be extra careful with booking.com I will be letting everyone know unless they do the right thing and refund me. I Q

Twin room - simple, clean and warm. Dinner - lovely, recommend the pizzas and the salmon. Staff were lovely, friendly and respectful although some clear inconsistencies with training between personel - nothing major though.

spa treatments are a bit pricey for what they are. We had the back, neck and shoulder massage which was £50 each and although the therapists were lovely and the facilities were nice enough; the massage itself was a bit lacking. it was more of a shoulder massage and then they stroked your neck and barely got into your back. I have been other spas and hotels that offer the same treatment for cheaper and came out with better results.

Fabulous weekend spent at the hotel and spa with friends (4 couples getting together). The rooms in the courtyard area are HUGE and everything you could wish for is included, even complimentary access to the hotel's spa. The food was superb (generous portions also), however what really made the weekend special for us was the service received from the staff. They were outstanding, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Special mention must go to Lewis and Hana - both are a real credit to the hotel. Thank you guys!

Location was a little isolated, but that's being very critical. Can't really grumble about anything.

The room was situated in the court yard and lovely and quiet, heard an owl which was lovely. Staff very polite. Room was clean. It’s best to drive or have a taxi booked if leaving the hotel for food etc. Breakfast was lovely, although was forgotten about for coffee and tea so didn’t have it until we had finished our breakfast as asked again. Quickly rectified. Spa was lovely as only ones in there to use the pool, sauna and steam room.

You could hear next door as close to each other so the door slamming late at night. Breakfast was good but no beans or hash browns with buffet style breakfast and allergy to ketchup so a tad dry. In the room was pack of paper cutlery, took food back to find it had been opened and forks missing in the pack, a kitchen in the room but nothing in the cupboards to use for example some cutlery

Calm and peaceful atmosphere with high standards in the main hotel. We were able to use the swimming pool at no extra charges. We were able to have two adjoining rooms so that the whole family were together.

Unfortunately due to room shortages we had to book for rooms away from the main hotel.. Although clean we felt our room (parents) was not to the lovely standards of the main hotel. Decor was a little tired with ripped wallpaper above the bed. In addition the bed was close to a side wall giving very restricted access to one side of the bed. Otherwise facilities were very satisfactory.
