The location was great. Parking was good. Rooms were nicely decorated and we had a bath in the bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely.

Omg, it was so hot on the days we went. The rooms didn't have air-conditioning and we'd booked a lake view room, so it was like a greenhouse. Had to have the curtains closed when in the room to cool it down. We did have a fan but the air was hot. Was told we had to book to go use the swimming pool, when we went to enquire we were told that it was £10 per person to book but if we turned up and they had space it would be complimentary. Tried twice but were told we'd have to wait for people to leave, so didn't bother again

Didn't like the fact that you could only use pool if you booked spa treatment, it doesn't say that on website and if you just wanted to use the pool it was £24.50, even though if its not busy ,you can use it for free, but I'm sorry, nobody would pay that amount of money for a swim and the reason I booked your hotel was because it had a swimming pool. I only book hotels with pools and on booking.com it said facilities were swimming pool, hot tub, spa and wellness not that the pool was part of the spa.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely clean and luxurious feeling room. Facilities were great. Lovely location + easy to get to without a car. I had a great massage too.

I wish the pool was available to hotel guests and not just those booking a spa... It is a bit misleading to have it on facilities without mentioning that you have to pay another fee on top.

We were upgraded and the room was very nice with a nice view of the lake.

You had to book the spa and no one told us. Went to the pool in our swimwear and got turned away, Was able to go back the next day but theu didn't tell us you need £1 for the locker and they didn't accept cash. Had to take our clothes into the pool with us. The resturaunt didn't answer the phone to book a table. When we did finally get hold of The Boat House, my husband (whos first language isn't english) was told there was no tables left. I then called up (english speaking) and was given a table straight away.

The room was spotless and comfortable. The view from our window was gorgeous and very relaxing. There is plenty of parking. We dined at the Old Boat House and loved it. Staff were friendly and very helpful. There were more leisure activities than we could possibly partake in given our focus was on exploring the region.

Our room in the central hotel wing was missing some of the amenities you would normally expect to have. Eg no bar fridge, which meant you could not store any delicacies you may have picked up exploring the Cotswolds that required refrigeration. Prices at the bar and restaurants are steep. The main hotel seems focussed on conferences and in hindsight there were better options for us in the resort. Recommend the resort but do a better job than us in picking the option that suits your purpose.

Although the radiator was turned up to max the room was still a little chilly for my liking. The bathroom was in need of an uplift

The De Vere Hotel is a little gem nestled in the Cotswolds! The property sits perfectly within the surrounding landscape, and it’s wonderful being able to enjoy the lake and countryside straight from your room or apartment. The service is prompt, the staff are friendly, and breakfast is generous - though it does get a bit hectic when it’s busy. However, being able to have it outdoors in fine weather and be so close to nature is absolutely unbeatable. There are some lovely little restaurants nearby too, perfect for those who don’t fancy driving too far.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Perhaps for such a large property, I might have expected two separate and distinct breakfast areas to avoid the morning rush and crowds, and to have an experience more in keeping with the setting you find yourself in.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The property is situated on a beautiful lake and the views from our room were amazing! The staff were very well informed of the local area and very polite. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The spa facilities and treatments were excellent as was the afternoon tea. Waking up every morning to see the family of swans was a lovely way to start each day.

The onsite restaurants are very expensive for what they are especially the Old Boathouse. Our service in the old boathouse was not what I’d expect in a restaurant, we waited 40 mins between starter and mains, had to ask for additional drinks no waiting staff asked if we needed anything else we the waited 15/20 mins to see a staff member to then ask for our bill. The food was ok but was nothing spectacular for the enormous price tag.

Upgraded to lake view, but the location directly opposite the House keeping store room/staff station was very disappointing and we had to raise a complaint. Woken by noise and talk in the corridor directly outside our door. To be fair the house manager offered to try and relocate but we were fully unpacked and only staying one further night. Staff were starting an hour later the following day which was fine. Bar snack for very expensive- £19 for a 12" simple pizza is not value for money at all !!! Breakfast for very good Charging of my EV was problematic as they had to swipe a card and swipe again to stop charging. £5 per hour for 7KwH is expensive !
