This was by far the best dog-friendly hotel we’ve ever stayed at! From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by how accommodating they were to both us and our furry friend. Not only did they offer a special treat to our dog, but they even had a beautiful field for dogs to run and play in. It was the perfect place for her to stretch her legs and enjoy some outdoor fun! We were also delighted with the surprise room upgrade, which made our stay even more special. The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with every detail in mind. The food was fantastic as well—each meal was delicious and beautifully presented. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a pet-friendly getaway with outstanding service, this is the place to be!
The only downside was that we could occasionally hear people in the rooms around us, which was a bit disruptive at times. It wasn’t a major issue, but it did impact the overall sense of tranquility a little.

Perfect location which is central to many attractions in Cotswolds. Ample parking space. Our room was neat and clean as well as spacious enough for two people. All facilities were provided with the 'pantry' being a huge hit with Mrs and I. Restaurant served us some amazing and delicious dishes. Full marks to the team in the kitchen for serving yummy dishes at every instance. And a special mention of the reception and restaurant staff - Andre, Alex, Bunty, Gemma, Angel , Phoebe - friendly, smiling, able to strike a conversation and made us feel welcome.
If I have to nit-pick then only a couple of things - the lighting in the room :-(. Where they're ample sources, they seem to be at the wrong place. We did face an issue with the room temperature on the first day but it was sorted immediately.

Upgraded for my birthday with bath tub room and gave some treats which was a kind touch. Location was pretty and room looked luxurious. Made effort to clear their fault by arranging me to have fireplace seating. Beautiful outdoor and indoor fireplace. Nice cosy lounge area to talk in. Ample parking space. Animals around outdoors stepping out to see.
Not welcoming upon entering by reception. Stairs so have to carry luggage, no lift. Dusty by where light switch on bed is. Staff were not as attentive for cost you're paying per night, took a minute to get attention to order food, mishap with seating, which was later cleared, but felt bit rushed to order despite their error. Food was not good at all, overpriced, especially the choices were poor, apart from the Potato Dauphinois which was decent. No window in bathroom and fairly see through. Room was fairly cold.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and polite, excellent amenities, very dog friendly.
Extra cost added at hotel for dog which isn’t clearly outlined when booking. Food let the hotel down - dinner was very average especially for the cost. Breakfast was poor - waited 35+ minutes for breakfast (clearly had been forgotten as those who ordered after us got theirs first) front of house staff were very apologetic about this can’t fault them. When it eventually came it was undercooked, missing items and tasteless - really disappointing.

Absolutely exceeded all expectations. Check in was lovely and she shown us to our room and really made us feel welcome.( blonde lady) Bonty went above and beyond for us in the ajoined restaurant , she was absolutely amazing , best service we we have received in a while!! We had a puppy and not only did they accommodate they made him feel so special and brought me and my partner so much reassurance for a first puppy vacation. Short walk over a lovely stream and there’s a huge field for dogs to run around etc and was just outside our door! There’s a Devine smell throughout the whole hotel that just adds to the experience. Have already looked at booking again and telling others to go back!
Nothing! It was all perfect

LOVED how dog friendly the hotel is. Staff were so friendly and attentive to all needs throughout stay. Lovely touch with a hand written birthday card for my mum and dog treats for the dog. Amazing room, plenty of space and wonderful bath/bathroom. Food was lovely at the crown (Sunday roast).
Lights outside the bedroom (around hot tub) didn’t turn off and so very bright in the bedroom all night. Did go to reception to ask if the timer could be turned off at 2.30am. The night porter, whilst helpful and accommodating was unable to fix this. The room should have the option to turn off lights outside the room.

Beautifully decorated boutique Inn, inside and out. Beautiful courtyard which had an open fire place for cosy evenings and lots of outside seating under cover and beautiful pods you could eat in. Right next to a picturesque river and across a small bridge to a cricket common which was ideal for letting our dog run around first thing in the morning. Pets are welcomed with treats and in the room a dog bed and bowl provided. Lovely touch was the decanter of sloe gin in the room which was complimentary, it was delicious!! We let them know we were staying because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they left a small box of chocolates and card in the room also :)
The beds are only average doubles which when you're use to bigger it can feel a bit small.

The staff were friendly , the receptionist were welcoming and accommodating . The place was immaculate , the garden outdoor is amazing and we had a lovely time with our pooch . We celebrated his first bday . The breakfast is cooked by far by professional you can tell that the quality of food it was delicious . We also had dinner in the crown which was the restaurant and the lamb I had it was perfectly cooked . The service is second to none and you should be 5 star .
None really but I just wanted to suggest about the cleaning products it’s been used . I walk my dog in the lounge early morning and I can smell bleach . I’m sure we can find something pet friendly cleaning products . Thank you

The property is beautiful and placed in a stunning location it is aesthetically pleasing and has some great little extras including a private courtyard for guests, milk delivered each morning and the restaurant/terrace served delicious food.
The noise!!!! The banging doors constantly throughout the day and particularly during the night caused a lot of disturbance. Also there was a tapping noise which was constant, I highlighted this to the staff but nothing was done about it. We had very little sleep which after 3 days of staying got well extremely tiring. They played music in the terrace and courtyard until late, there were no guests anywhere because I checked, to the point where I had to complain to the staff and I wasn’t the only one!! I understand it’s a thriving pub/restaurant but they definitely need to consider their hotel guests a bit more too.

Stayed multiple times now, I love this place. I work in Cirencester so often stop for 1-2 nights per week, I always try and stay here if possible. The Riverside rooms in particular are very nice, roll top bath is a luxury upgrade from the (still very luxurious) standard rooms. Staff excellent, good beers on tap, food is varied and I've very much enjoyed every meal I've had here. Breakfast choices are great as well. I feel terrible staying here without my partner because it feels like such a treat, so we're remedying that by staying here for our anniversary - it's a perfect cosy couples getaway in the Cotswolds
There was nothing I didn't like. Even the torrential downpour of rain that Cirencester suffered on the day of my stay was welcome because I got to sit in a bath, open the window, and listen to the rain outside while I tried not to fall asleep in the tub
