The staff at the hotel were very helpful and in particular Olivia was a delight to be served by and to exchange conversation with during our evening meal in between her constant activity, working to provide the best service to us and others in the restaurant. The evening meal was excellent, as was breakfast and on both occasions the attention to my wife dietary requirements was exemplary. There is free customer parking to the rear of the hotel.
Unfortunately the extractor fan in our bathroom was not operating despite the isolation switch being on and the small amber power on the actual fan demonstrating power was reaching the device. The radiator in our bedroom was occasionally mildly warm but the radiator below the towel storage rail (not heated) in our bathroom was never warm, despite the radiator valves being set to maximum. Fortunately despite it being early March the weather was fine enough for us to not be too disadvantaged or cold.

We only stayed for one night but wish it could have been longer. The hotel was a lovely charming character building, very cosy and lovely atmosphere. The staff from the moment we checked in through to our leaving were so pleasant and helpful. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, which we all loved and the food was extremely good. Breakfast the following morning was excellent and great choices. The rooms were very clean and a good size. Everything you needed for the stay was supplied. The location is absolutely ideal for walking 5 minutes into Cirencester centre. We would love to return again and thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Characteristic. Peaceful area. Nice couple minute walk in to the city center. Wonderful green areas well maintained where we had great walks with our dog. But the best is the staff working here. Simply amazing. All the people we encountered were so kind. The housekeeping ladies in the morning, the receptionist and the waiter and waitresses… They genuinely took time for a short chat while for instance taking our order but they also engaged with our dog in a wonderful way. Our dog got so spoiled with treats and strokes… she wants to go back. Thank you all! Whenever we are in the area we will for sure come back here.
We loved the coziness of our room although we all did hit our heads at one of the beams at some point. Our middle sized dog had plenty of room in this family room but it was a bit of a hassle getting her up to the highest floor. Maybe we did not do it correctly but it seems the window blinds did not close completely.

Location was great for Cirencester town centre. Staff were very welcoming and helpful with our bags as our room was at the top of the stairs. Room was lovely and clean, comfortable beds and was warm and cosy for our girls trip (3 of us) added bonus was the bar which is also lovely. Breakfast was fab too! Can’t fault this lovely hotel! Such a beautiful old building with ample parking too! Thank you so much for making our stay for my Mums birthday fab!
Nothing…was great for us. Even though Mum walks with a Stick and I was worried about the stairs.Sshe managed ok, as we were only staying one night. Maybe any longer and she would of struggled as they are quite steep.

Everything was great, we arrived very early but were allowed to park and were given a free coffee. The room was ready at the promised time, nice room and easy to get to. The evening meal was superb, very big portions, as was breakfast. But the best part of the stay were the staff , they all were a credit to the hotel. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.
Nothing.

Great location, clean and comfortable rooms, great facilities and friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Really enjoyed my short stay. I had a very quiet and comfortable room and a wonderful nights sleep. I ate out as a was meeting up with a friend but the hotels location meant that was just short walk away to a good choice of restaurants. Had a lovely drink of wine at the bar and a superb breakfast in the morning. I parked at the rear of property, which made the stay in the heart of Cirencester completely hassle and worry free. Would definitely stay again!
My room didn't have a shower but had a great bath instead

A lovely building, dating from the late 16th Century - 1595, I believe. The staff were excellent and very efficient, and the two spaniels who befriended me were adorable. Dinner and breakfast were splendid, and I enjoyed sitting in the leather armchairs in the bar area. Breakast(full English) was splendid and was served piping hot: the coffee was strong and plentiful.
The lighting could be brighter, both in the room and the bar. Successful completion of the "Times" crossword took a little longer because of insufficient lighting: this would not have been an issue if I hadn't been reading, however. I should be very happy to return and to stay for longer than one night.

The hotel is a very short walk (3-5 minutes) from the centre of Cirencester in a beautiful historic building. The room was lovely and much better than I had been expecting. The food and the service in the restaurant was excellent, as was breakfast, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. A really enjoyable stay.
As it is an old building there is no lift; some rooms are up two flights of stairs. Whilst this wasn't a problem for me it could be for some visitors, but it was made clear to me at the time of booking.

Usually, I dread staying away from home and my habitual 'comforts', especially when it comes to food. I still cannot quite get over how the fact how Corinium exceeded any expectations I might've had. From accommodating my request for early check in to the facilities and general comfort in the room to the huge choice and high quality of breakfast that catered for my needs (vegetarian). The communications where quick and clear before and during my stay. I was having a brief chat with the lady at the reception on my way out saying I was going out to the shop to get some toothpaste as I've forgotten to pack some; she advised me it will be very busy in the nearby Tesco's on a Saturday morning, and just gave me some on the house, which saved me having to go out. Every member of staff I interacted with during my stay was genuine, warm and welcome.
Nothing. Everything was well above any expectations I might've had.

This was our second visit to this hotel within a few weeks having enjoyed our first stay. Our room was a compact double which was on the top floor but was full of character and lovely. Our cooked breakfast was made to order and served at the table, no buffet under chef lamps here. Served by very friendly and efficient staff.
Only downside was that the bar area was being refurbished, but it's got to happen some time and was reopening on our day of departure. Drinks were still served so didn't really spoil things too much.
