The Crown Inn was very nice, the place was very romantic. Also, we liked historic value of the restaurant, it looked fabulous. The breakfast was very good, we value that it was really home made, great quality. The staff was super friendly. All the people were very nice. The restaurant was pleasant, the food was great. We had dinner once, and we were very satisfied. Enough parking space.

The room we got was not the one we booked. It looked differently than the photos on Booking.com and looked worse. No warning about this by the staff. Don't get me wrong, the room was clean, but it looked little worn out. That would be fine, but we really do not like surprises of this kind. And please: the password for wifi has to be written somewhere in the room. Not everyone remembers to ask while checking-in (and we checked-in late, so no possibility to ask until next day). This is obviously just a little thing.

Wonderful inn in small village in southern Cotswolds. Room was modern, big, comfortable, clean. Terrific old part of the inn had great pub/restaurant. Hot breakfast was very good. Some nice walking trails just outside the door. Most of all the very friendly staff made the stay very enjoyable.

Not much to complain about. Since the town is so remote a mini-fridge would've been nice. Didn't need it but don't think there was air conditioning in the room, I'd imagine it gets pretty hot in the summer. Location (which I loved, I like peaceful little villages) made a decent drive necessary to get to all the sights of the Cotswolds.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. They had reserved tables for us on arrival which was a nice touch. The room was better than I expected in its size and the bed was very comfortable indeed. The meals we had were good, filling and tasty. Breakfast was also very good, and included black pudding which is a particular favourite.

The doors to the rooms are thin and not sound proofed, so sound carried quite a bit, although on both evenings the pub was quiet so I wasn't disturbed.

Almost everything - a quiet village location in a picturesque valley. Accommodation is in an adjacent annexe, the room was very pleasant with quality oak furniture. Good mattress, duvet and pillows. Coffee, tea and biscuits provided. Everything was nicely presented and very clean. The pub was very nice with logs fires and attentive staff. Adequate breakfast included in the price. I would definitely stay at the Crown again.

Going home 😂. Pub menu is a little limited but not a deal breaker. Shower a little too high tech for a 69 year old. Dogs in the pub (barking).

Nearly everything was excellent. The decor of the rooms is lovely and the beds are very comfortable, nice to have a bath as well as a shower in the room too. Varied pub menu, and brilliant that many dishes can be ordered in children's portions for those who don't have a big appetite. Lovely cooked breakfast with a well made mocha. Pub is in a fab, tranquil location, and nice to be able to eat outdoors. Looking forward to another stay in the future.

Just a few small things: * A pint of beer at £6.30 seems excessive * The only thing that lets the room decor down is the cheap, chipboard type room doors which are completely out of place with everything else. * TV reception sometimes ropey for iPlayer. * On check out, the staff member nearly charged me a second time for one of the rooms I had already paid for until I challenged her.

Comfy spacious room Very nice bathroom and digital shower Plenty of coffee milk sugar

The room was light and fantastic to view when we walked in. The pub food was great however the wait for the food was well over an hr after we ordered it so sadly lost a couple points as we were really hungry and was told a wait but not too long … but over an hr was rather disappointed and just left a a bowl of crisps when really a reduction should of sufficed. The fish stew fortunately was well worth the wait and it was the best I’ve ever tasted … so compliments to the chef who obviously was hammered by the amount of people arriving on a very hot evening..

Everything as per my previous review from early November.

The shower is too high tech and not hot enough. Avoid staying when the Inn holds its monthly quiz night ! The locals take it over and it becomes a 'no go zone'. Evening dining is restricted with no food available after 7pm (rigid) ~ if this is not suitable your only option is a 7 mile drive to Cirencester 😡 because the Inn is in the middle of nowhere. Impossible to get a seat and have a drink to chill out ~ had to retreat to my room slightly annoyed.

Beautiful location close to everything. We booked another place further north for the rest of our trip and my son said “we should have just stayed at The Crown!” Nice mix of old stone pub and modern renovation of guest rooms. Modern bath, updated electrical with no need for converters, comfortable beds . The breakfast is served in a lovely room good food and great service. The pub/restaurant on site has stone walls, big fireplaces, antique furniture, oriental rugs and allows well behaved dogs. Food is very good. Staff is great. Also a nice big outdoor patio with a stunning view. Would highly recommend

That we left and went somewhere else!

What a cracking little find! Gemma and her team were so helpful, welcoming and happy to help with any questions. The room was a great size, very clean with a great ensuite. The food we had in the evening and indeed the breakfast in the morning was very good, they obviously use quality ingredients. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place if you wanted a place to stay that's in a quiet village setting!
