The breakfast was an excellent start to the day, the fresh fruit and yoghut was delicious and the full English was beautifully cooked, not greasy and very generous. Our room was large and had everything you could possibly need - the bed was also very large and very comfortable. Really, this is one of the best places we have stayed in - 5 star quality and friendliness.

Denise was very welcoming and helpful. We were surprised to find out that we had a whole house, the Annex, to ourselves. The Annex was very comfortably furnished and well equipped We could easily have stayed much longer. The breakfast was excellent and the offer was there for more coffee, toast etc. There was also access to a lovely garden.

The stairs in the Annex were quite steep. There was parking but it was just off the main road and a little tight. The noise from the main road was a little loud but did quieten during the late evening/night.

Really appreciated the washing machine after several days hiking. The host, Denise, was also absolutely delightful and wonderful to chat to. The breakfast was delicious, and Denise provided a substantial packed lunch as well! I would highly recommend staying at Troy House!

Really nice place, with beautiful courtyard to sit out on a nice evening. Breakfast was good with all homemade items. The room was large and the bed comfortable.

It was quite a warm evening. A fan would have been nice. While we absolutely loved the 3 small dogs they had, some may not (although they were very good in keeping the dogs away from those that didn’t like them).

Very well equipped and comfortable accommodation. Our host was very welcoming and really helpful in booking diner in a local pub. Fantastic packed lunch for our walk the following day at very reasonable price. Breakfast was top drawer. Lots of little extras in the room including a fridge with drinks etc and an honesty box to pay for anything we used. Really nice touch.

I did think I had reserved a twin room (for 2 males), unfortunately it was a double room that was disappointing.

Very quaint cottage. We had The Annex which has everything you could ask for. Tea , coffee. Bathroom toiletries Beautiful breakfast. Ideal location

Stairs are very steep as in keeping with the age of the cottage.

Wonderful stay,spotless clean lots of room fantastically run bed and breakfast great location can't recommend enough after some of the experiences we have had travelling UK it was refreshing to see someone who actually cares about the customer, top top top.

We only stayed one night, and it was a last minute booking for new year's eve, so we loved the price for the night! The annex is a lovely place, very cozy and has everything you need. Kitchen is well equipped and bedroom is comfortable and clean. There was parking available which was great.

I would have liked a bath with a shower over head but that is only personal preference and for only one night it didn't matter!

Spotlessly clean and every little detail was thought of, a real home from home. The breakfast was the best ever and set us up for the day. Lovely owner and located in the best place, highly recommend especially catered for walkers.
