I wrote an extensive review as soon as we came home but I am not sure where it was posted. For me Corse Lawn was a magical break in a hectic and emotionally demanding few days. I loved it from the moment we arrived but recognise that some people would not. We were handed a real key not a card key; the room was spacious and furnished with individual pieces that may not have been new but were elegant and well cared for; there was loose tea and a tea pot not tea bags and inadequate china and home made biscuits not plastic packets; the bed was truly comfortable, the bed linen, bathroom and towels immaculate. The gardens, duck pond and swimming pool were well maintained and so peaceful - we walked to the back field field awash with buttercups, with two magnificent oak trees and relished the sunset. Breakfast was freshly cooked, individually served and generous. We didn't even mind that the sash windows needed propping open (we have sashes ourselves so appreciate the difficulties) and was delighted when I asked at reception if there were wedges to solve the problem and I was offered two books - they did the job!

Massive fluffy towels you can wrap yourself twice in. Deep comfy pillows and blankets on the bed. Fruit in your room. A fridge with fresh milk. Real tea, with a teapot and strainer. Bottled water. A Wi-Fi system that doesn’t need a password. A proper sized bath and a shower. Huge airy rooms with beautiful views. An old school TV that doesn’t dominate the room. A postcard of the hotel to take home- an alarm clock next to the bed, with a notepad and pen. Writing paper. All those little details that I remember as a kid making a hotel stay magical- a sewing kit and shower cap; Clothes brush and biscuit tin! Every room is differently furnished-like staying in different bedrooms of a real country house. Horses, ducks, geese, rabbits are in the grounds. It is truly dog friendly-not simply “allowed.” All around the hotel there are comfortable places to sit and talk or read or play board games. The place is spotless but feels like home- a really difficult balance to achieve. It is satisfyingly peaceful. The food is FABULOUS and the drinks menu diverse and impressive. The waiter has a pen and order pad- not an iPad. The staff feel genuinely happy to be here. For me, this is what a hotel should be; not a shrine to sleek modernity and minimalism but a place of warmth, character, comfort and wonder. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay.

Lovely large period property in quiet idyllic countryside. Garden seating with parasols. Lovely interior and decor. This hotel is an excellent choice for the discerning guest. Lovely nicely decorated and comfortable quiet lounges, plural. Lunch was excellent, lovely dining room. Large room, well furnished, including fridge. Breakfast, served at table, was a wide choice and hot options. Excellent helpful polite staff, who made our short stay special. Great place to relax and enjoy some peace! Extensive parking, easy access. Repeat visit, and highly recommended.

I like the old-fashioned feel of this hotel with its natural fabrics (no polyester duvets, but a summer woollen blanket) and its rooms with solid wooden furniture and everything you need including fruit, bottled water and milk in the fridge. Also liked the absence of tea bags. The service was excellent - warm and professional. My evening meal was exceptional - hake with samphire, asparagus and with celeraic on the vegetable sides.

The Merlot was a bit vinegary. I could have sent it back, but didn't

Location in peaceful surroundings overlooking duck pond with willow trees. Superb afternoon tea on the lawn overlooking the pond. Plus really enjoyed our dinner. Very accommodating with our dog also. Lovely breakfast. Good nights sleep in charming bedroom. Nice touches with homemade biscuits and fruit bowl. Staff without exception very friendly throughout our stay.

One stay only so rather sad we couldn't stay longer as would have liked to have tried the croquet and done another swim in the covered outdoor pool.

Staff were excellent. Everyone we met was welcoming and helpful. The food was lovely although we only had breakfast at the hotel. The tennis court was in good condition and the swimming pool looked clean (although we didn't have time to use it). The location was great for us, and sitting outside by the large pond in the afternoon with a cool drink was really lovely.

My wife found the bed very uncomfortable and slept badly, although I didn't and had a restful night.

Picturesque, quiet with such lovely features and furniture of the years past ! As you go from one room to another there are lovely antique items and furniture it was a bit like antique road show !😀The staff were amazing from the minute I arrived and checked in by ( Aunt SALLY) lol 😂 I know she will chuckle to the first waiter Antony who made us laugh with hes sence of humour ! Nothing seemed to much for them and was always on hand to help ! The head waiter filled my flask in the morning and the cook 🧑‍🍳 came in 30 minutes early to make sure we had a brilliant breakfast 🍳 before going to work Malvern show !! Dinners were lovely and it made my stay feel like being on holiday!! I just can’t fault them at all !! The owner should be so proud of the staff of this hotel 5 🌟 stars from me thanks joe

I love everything

The staff were exceptional, polite and professional throughout the hotel. The food was some of the best I have had and we were able to dine in a leisurely manner without being rushed. The location was extremely convenient following our visit to Tewkesbury and was also very relaxing. The room had everything we needed, plus a few very nice extras (eg. wonderful to be offered fresh fruit and also to be provided with fresh milk rather than UHT).

The swimming pool is in need of a tidy up and was surprisingly bracing, but was functional and pleasant after a hot day's activity.

Staff were excellent and the service was attentive. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and friendly staff. Lovely countryside setting, yet near enough to drive into Tewkesbury for the evening.

Weather was very warm and there was no air conditioning, but that was understandable as the property is old. Our room had sash windows, but they wouldn't stay open.

The hotel is very comfortable and welcoming. It is not modernised but that is part of it's charm, it feels like a home. Staff are very friendly and helpful, very dog friendly, the grounds are lovely and the food is good. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable
