Called and stayed to break the 7 hour journey home from Cornwall. Very easy to get to coming off the M5 and joining the M50 for a very short time. We visit Cornwall at least once a year and in recent years started to break the journey home. Have looked for a location that is easy to get to whilst not being too much of a diversion from the motorway. This place really could not be better for that reason alone. Lovely town with a lot going on. The Swan Hotel was very nice. The room we stayed in was enormous. Staff were very helpful. Locals seemed very chatty and friendly. Had one of the best breakfasts ever. Dog friendly and nice places to walk. I should certainly want to go back. I could imagine it being very pretty during the summer and very cosy during the winter.

Great welcome.. every member of staff we had dealings with were friendly, helpful and polite. Perfect spot to visit the town and views of the river. Room was fab... great decoration. Lots of room. Clean and lovely, generous teamaking facilities. Soft fluffy towels. Firm, comfy bed. View of the river very special.

No parking but car park only 5 min walk to a public car park costing £12 for up to a week. Kitchen closed due to the busy festival we were there to attend so couldn't eat at pub but loads of choice nearby. No shower just a very luxurious bath with handheld shower head.

The breakfast was tasty and satisfying. The location by the river was fabulous and the beautiful view from our room one of the best we've experienced.

The welcome at reception was a bit underwhelming. To be fair, we understand the staff member was part time and still learning. The bathroom door would not shut properly and needs planing or sanding along the top. Rain-type showers are very trendy nowadays but cubicles never seem capable of preventing water splashing out on to the floor. Our window boxes needed some tlc: fresh plants and some weeding.

We booked the suite on the top floor and it was amazing !!!!! The bath was an amazing bonus !!!! The room was so clean apart from a dead spider which we got rid of. There was no hairdryer which was an issue for my girlfriend and if I’m being picky , some biscuits with the teas and coffees would have been nice , but really can’t complain , amazing place and so peaceful and quiet

It was a bit warm , thank god for the fan in the room , but you’d expect it to be warm on the top floor .

Nice clean room. Very friendly helpful staff. Good central location

The room was too hot. Had to open a window. This caused noise, which was no fault of the Hotel. Thanks to storm babette the area was flooded and their were pumps in use in the streets below.

Welcoming staff, very helpful. Good food and choice of menu . We had our evening meal and breakfast there .

Our room was big , well decorated , lovely shower , had all the facilities we needed. There was a noise coming from the kitchen extractor fan . Could hear it through the closed window . It’s a small pub so they can’t change this . Location was good , it’s on the river front . No car park - 3 parking bays outside the pub, but on-road parking near the pub is available .

Well looked after by the staff. Room at top of building very low ceiling level, as I am not very tall this was first time I have ever had to duck down to avoid a beam. Not a problem to us but could be an issue to people taller than myself. View from windows down the River Severn pretty spectacular.

Could have done with info in room re things like breakfast times and details of meal menus.

Room was lovely, incredibly dog friendly which is important to us and the staff were incredibly helpful and professional. We also had dinner there and the food was fabulous. Would highly reccomend especially if you ahe a dog and we will be returning.

The room was very warm but that was because they had put the heating on for the first time but would rather be too warm than cold.

Have stayed at The Swan Hotel before. Staff friendly. Great location. Room No. 4 was comfortable, modern bathroom. Breakfast was a large full English Breakfast. Very nice. Parking can be a bit iffy, but Owner Luke very helpful in that respect. Would recommend.

Advised staff Room 4 could do with full length mirror so you can check yourself before exiting room.

Enjoyed our stay. Good location overlooking the river, Nice inside bar/restaurant and seating outside. Comfortable room with very nice bathroom. Friendly staff and tasty food. Had lunch, dinner and breakfast and it was good value for money. The dog also enjoyed his stay.

No car park. Parked in a car park about 5 minute walk away (not a problem for us). £2 for 4 hours and £2 for overnight (4pm til 8am)
