It is well located not far from the River Severn and near the so-called “Pepperpot” church tower. The staff were extremely helpful in facilitating my early arrival (due to a wedding). The room was clean, neat and tidy, although the furniture was a bit dated and tired looking. The en suite, however, was modern and spacious. There was a kettle with tea and coffee-making facilities in the room. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a great night’s sleep.

No breakfast provision when I was there, although it may perhaps be available at the weekend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Star and enjoyed the Minge festival although not in fancy dress like the Landlord and staff and many locals that went all out :-) The acts were really good, disappointed that I missed the ones in the evening but there is always next year. Gathan doing three sets, Bruno Mars, RnB and Michael Jackson was outstanding. Its a great central location and breakie was lovely too. Hats off to you, you all keep up the good work and see you soon (Upton upon Severn has a special place in my heart).

Beautiful clean room, we stayed here after a wedding, when we got back just before 10 there was a band playing in the bar below but it finished at a reasonable time and actually didn't bother us.(May have been the wine we'd consumed) The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were all we required.style very in keeping with the building and in a beautiful area.

Very convenient location for the festival everything on the doorstep really.

Had one room key for 3 people so had to leave it at reception, that was fine, except reception quite often was not manned so had to wait or go and find someone if one of us needed to go to our room. Not organised at all.

The stay was really comfortable. The staff were very busy with the weekend festival, but you couldn't fault how they tried to accommodate everyone.

The shower didn't work very well. It was fold more often than hot

Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Second time coming to The Star Inn to visit family. Still good affordable cost especially when we visit in January. location is great close to all shops and river. Rooms were clean. We will come back again

Facilities were available in bathroom and drink selection as well. A hairdryer would have been a nice touch. The bed was too hard for our liking in this particular room. Previous room we stayed in the bed was very comfy. So hoping they are working through changing beds. But still we will be back again

Excellent location couldn’t be better

Would have preferred twin beds facing river, room 12 was small with no view. Needs new mattress.

Breakfast good, had to pay on the day. The bar was good. Beds fine room spacious enough for us. We will go again

No car parking and the public ones were not many.

Very good position

No staff to service the room ought to get the television working. Outside the hotel the seating area on the pavement was covered in cigarette ends

Stuart the man who runs the hotel, was very nice. Extremely helpful. Our first room was too hot , and window did not open much, so he moved us to another room at side of hotel a lot better.

We have stayed here a few times, due to location . I think it's a bit expensive. Especially as no breakfast provided. But it is what it is .
