The food was delicious, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was big and comfortable, the room was a nice size and very clean. They also offer 20% discount off all food and drinks if you eat there which I think is a great deal.

The waiter took out food order but missed off 1 meal, he read our order out so quickly that we didn't hear him. So my Husband and I had to eat at separate times by the time his dinner was brought to us. We also ordered another drink which we didn't receive by the time our taxi arrived, and it didn't seem as though the waiter had even remembered we had ordered it! I think that's an issue with that one member of staff though, as the other staff were fine.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable but the air con was being replaced, I understand,so not operative. Some rooms had fridges - mine did not - shame really but not a real issue. Rooms seemingly made-up late in the day. Mine was not made-up Friday night when I got back at 5pm although service was offered some 15 minutes later which, stripped for a shower, I refused. Breakfast choice was Full English - taken every day - great! Bar lounge at outside tables well presented, comfortable and clean.

For a 3* hotel, compared with another nationwide chain harping on about 'limitless brekky' there is no comparison - I will always look, now, for a Ramada when playing, as on this occasion, in croquet tournaments.

We stayed here recently and was pleased with the experience. The room was a good size and comfortable, and the suite had two TVs which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The hotel bar was good, and the internet worked well. There’s a large, secure car park at the front, side and rear of the hotel which made parking easy. It’s also in a good location, making it convenient for exploring the surrounding areas (we knew it wasn't central but there are good links to the town centre). We didn’t eat at the hotel restaurant, but we were given a 20% off voucher which we thought was a nice touch. Overall, a positive stay and good value.

The only small downsides were that the room looked a little tired and could have done with a fresh coat of paint. As a family of four, we weren’t given quite enough towels or cups initially, but when we asked, the staff quickly sorted this out with no fuss. Apart from that, we had no other issues during our stay

Plenty of free parking on arrival, very happy with the space in my room as a solo traveller. TV in my room was a smart TV so could login to my own apps. Breakfast was cooked breakfast buffet along with cereal and pastries and good start to the day. There was a gym; basic but if I had time to make use of it would have had a decent workout. I did have a Genius discount and breakfast included though would have been happy with paying, standard rates for breakfast in a hotel. Good value for what I paid (try on the app as there mobile only deals)

Air con wasn't working, did have a fan in the room which was better than nothing. Bar shut quite early.

It was clean, friendly and welcoming. We had almost everything we needed. Location was perfect for us and plenty of shops nearby if we needed anything. Staff were accommodating and friendly throughout. Breakfast was perfect, loads of variety and replenished often to ensure things didn’t run out.

The only thing I could put in here is that by no fault of the hotel it was literally the hottest string of summer days ever and unfortunately the aircon in our room wasn’t working. However, it’s England, normally aircon wouldn’t be needed let alone available, but the freak weather incident meant it was hotter than hell.

The hotel was renovated recently so everything was very clean and newish— the room, the bathroom, the carpets, the furniture. The room was also very spacious and all the furniture were well designed for their purpose. The bathroom is sparklingly clean. The buffet breakfast had all the choices you can imagine. The quality was not the best but decent. The breakfast room was also grand and bright, and comfortable. Overall we were very pleased ( we stayed for 3 nights) and pleasantly surprised because some of the reviews we read before we arrived were not so positive and we were worries. Now we felt they were a bit unfair ( or maybe they were before the hotel renovation?). Overall we are very happy, particularly given we stayed for 3 nights( to explore Cotswolds), it would be difficult if it’s not nice! Oh not to mention it’s a great value for money given its rate.

The staff could be a little more friendly when gusts arrived ( for example, have a little greeting before telling the gusts to register their car) But I could see they worked very hard and had long hours.

Orchard Suite was amazing. Huge king sized bed. Great to have two parts to the room. Good sized sofa bed as well. Lots of wardrobe space. Lots of parking. Great breakfast food kept being served. Good bathroom with bath and separate shower! Table in the room and mirrors correctly placed. Good gym. Staff work very hard, hope they makeva success of it! Free snacks and drinks in the room! Water in reception. Good location out of the town centre.

Light not working above the table in the room. Tall lamp in the corner won't stay on. Whole place needs a lick of paint, lots like this is underway. Outside grounds need a tidy up, looks like this is underway. Lift not working, what is the expected repair time on this? Air conditioning units in every room with power to them but it says not in use...money saving maybe or not safe?

Breakfast was good value for money Room size was excellent, and two armchairs were supplied, unlike Premier Inn who expect one person to lie on the bed to watch television. 😠 There are bus stops right outside. 👍

If I was going to nit pick, I would pick up on the breakfast service. On both days we had breakfast there were problems with running out of bread, knives, mugs & butter, and there might have been other items that did not affect us. I suggest the person doing the meet & greet, who also ensures we have booked and paid, also keeps an eye on all the above mentioned items, plus the others that guests were heard asking for.

On arrival 2 lovely receptionists greeted us with the utmost respect, very professional and were really nice informed us that our room wasn't ready but to take a seat in the bar and we could have complimentary drinks which was a lovely gesture and we enjoyed a cafe latte which was just what we needed after a long journey. Our room was lovely especially the decor, the matching furniture was nice, plenty of tea/coffee and the beds were very comfortable with plump pillows room was exceptionally clean the bathroom too. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was really tasty and freshly cooked to order and value for money we even got 20% food and drink for being valued guests as I always book Ramada hotels when I attend air shows at Duxford in Cambridge and Cheltenham.

Nothing to dislike we enjoyed our stay very much the staff were very attentive to our needs which is very welcoming and we will definitely stay there again.

The staff were all very good. They were pleasant and helpful. The restaurant and bar were also good, as was the food. The rooms were clean and tidy, albeit somewhat dated. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. There is a large free car park on site. We stayed overnight on our way from Manchester to Plymouth and again on the return journey. We wouldn't have done that if it had been a bad experience the first time

There is a general lack of maintenance. There were a couple of relatively minor items which were easy fixes that were outstanding. Had we viewed the exterior before booking, we wouldn't have stayed. The grounds are obviously not maintained. Flower beds/borders are overgrown and untidy, giving the place a very rundown appearance. Perhaps this points to staff reductions due to the economic climate? There is no doubt that this hotel is due for a refurbishment, particularly of the bathrooms.
