Lovely welcome and everything was perfect. We had a lovely room with a very very comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a bath and a walk in shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was served at a time to suit us and it was excellent, whatever we wanted Patricia would oblige. We use a lot of B and Bs and this is certainly the best we have stayed in by far. It was the little things that made it stand out from others, the offer of a drink when we arrived, the relaxed atmosphere, the personal touch, the little surprises that appeared daily in our room from fresh fruit to bars of chocolate to biscuits and even a rose. Our cases were carried up to our room and even that’s it’s only about 8 minutes walk into Cheltenham we were told that someone would drive us in if we wished. The morning that we left our cases were carried out to our car. Fantastic service

One of the best places we have ever stayed. Pat greeted us on arrival and her hospitality started as soon as we arrived. Pat refused to let us carry our bags. We arrived at 9pm. She offered us a drink and showed us to our room. Room was spotless and classy. Everything was impeccable and Pristine. Bathroom was very updated, clean, well equipped and brand new. Bed was sooo comfortable. Breakfast was so elaborate and she wants to feed you more. There was a lot of food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You must stay here to experience the hospitality and the beautiful property. We have made a friend for life. We will always come back to stay here while visiting the area.

I had booked College View for 1 night and my only criteria was that it should be clean and within walking distance to the railway station. I arrived on Sunday evening and walking up to the property I already noted the quiet neighbourhood with Christchurch visible in the distance. The property itself has no B&B / guesthouse signage which confused me at first but also makes it feel more like a home. Pat led me to the room at the top floor which was beautifully appointed and spacious. All the furniture and fixtures including windows are of very high quality. The room is loft conversion so has sloping roof and small windows but it is still quite bright and airy. The bathroom is well designed. I had asked Pat about the amenities beforehand as I wanted to travel as light as possible, but it was a delight to find that the products were of good brands like Molton Brown. The guests can also use the living room on the first floor with beautiful picture windows. That reminds me, Pat had apologetically asked me as I entered the property, to take my shoes off and I was quite happy to do so as it feels more homely to me. She provides shoe covers and slippers, but the carpets are luxurious and spotless so walking around in socks or barefoot is actually a pleasure. The real surprise element was to be offered a glass of prosecco and refreshments. Talk about five star treatment in a B&B! Honestly I have stayed in many places from 5 star hotels to guesthouses, and have never been offered a glass of bubbly unless I had pre-arranged it for a special occasion. I had no plans for the evening so it was lovely to chat with Pat and get to know her a little. She is a remarkable lady who has done a lot in her life and full of energy and very interesting life stories. Breakfast was scrumptious scrambled eggs and toast (as I had requested) along with fresh fruit, juice, tea and selection of preserves all laid out ready at 8am as we had pre-arranged.

Our stay was brilliant from the start. Ahead of the stay I'd had communication from the property and notification to inform me that the room was ready for arrival - very useful so we could optimise our timing in town. Location is excellent - only 10 minute stroll to the town area and despite this very quiet and peaceful. Room was excellent - a truly exception bath - the bathroom had virtually everything we'd brought from home - plus the lashings of hot water. Breakfast was a marvel - our order was taken the day before and specially prepared at our preferred time - truly amazing just to look at let alone taste. Just a great all round experience.

I don't think there is much that could be improved. Everything we needed was there and was superb. The only thing I'd have like would have been a few extra nights!

This was the loveliest place we have stayed in a long time. We loved it. Pat was a fantastic host from the moment she greeted us. She couldn’t have done more to make us feel at home and with ideas to help us get the most out of our stay. Pat was so kind and thoughtful, and made our wedding anniversary so special. The room was luxurious; comfy soft bed, fab shower, and every thing you could wish for was provided. All the complimentary touches were very much appreciated. Being able to say what time we wanted breakfast and what we wanted was amazing and the food was wonderful. Couldn’t rate this any higher and will look forward to coming back one day.

We enjoyed a very relaxing overnight stay and received excellent hospitality and a lovely welcome from Pat. It's a great property fairly close to the centre of Cheltenham and there is a very thoughtful level of attention to details in your room (for example, bottled water, a few snacks, nice toiletries, lovely shower, comfy bed, extremely clean) that bring an extra degree of comfort and quality compared to many places. Parking is available onsite and we had an excellent breakfast including cooked. We can highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at the College View. Our room was faultless, with plenty of little extras like teas, coffees, oat milk, cows milk, water, and toiletries, we even had chocolate goodies in the fridge. It was spotless. Our super king bed was extremely comfortable, the best we've ever slept in. It was perfect. Pat was extremely accommodating from the moment we arrived. We were offered prosecco and welcomed into her home. We pre-ordered our breakfast the day we arrived for the next morning. Breakfast was 5*. Pat was an amazing, friendly, caring and fabulous host. We would definitely stay at The College View again.

The hostess at College View is fabulous, she made us feel at home from the first minute we arrived. The room was very spacious, warm and the bed was super comfy with the most luxurious bedding. The upstairs room ensuite bathroom is lovely, it has a walk-in shower and a free standing bath. There was a wide range of quality toiletries available in the bathroom. Breakfast was perfect, more than enough and top quality. We didn't want to leave in the morning, feeling like we had a new best friend in Pat, she's amazing at this job. Highly recommended.
