Very clean, fresh room with new-looking bathroom. Great location in the centre of town, opposite the Brewery area (cafes, cinema etc) and easy walk to main shopping area. The staff were absolutely lovely, and a good buffet breakfast was provided. I was a bit surprised that there was no mini fridge in the room, but on reflection I realised this is a responsible choice. Think how much electricity would be saved the world over if all hotels got rid of these appliances, most of which are running empty so much of the time!

The mattress in our room was not great, a bit saggy in the middle so probably getting towards the end of its lifecycle. The local carpark is a bit expensive if you want to come and go during the day, though the discount was appreciated. (If you just want to park for an hour or so at any point, the Aldi carpark opposite is a good option; just watch out you don't overstay or you may get a fine.)

Convenient for our trip away

Breakfast experience was not a good, it was like a cattle market. People pushing past, absolute carnage. We were told at reception when we booked it that we where welcome to take our breakfast to the room to eat if we wanted, as it was going to be busy ? How is it possible to do that without a tray in sight, not actually practical either !!! Some of the staff were brilliant, cleared tables as soon as people were ready to leave, but not a good breakfast experience. It was a lovely morning & if there where tables & chairs outside we would have used them.

I loved attention to every little detail. I loved the kindness and politeness of every single staff member. I liked the decor. I LOVED the breakfast. The art, books, faux fire, pool table. Brilliant. Kasia (pronounced Kasha) couldn't have been kinser when I had accidentally booked the wrong month! So helpful kind and considerate.Bear brewery and bowling so great as we were visiting family friends there.

Nothing. Although we were aware the swimming pool was being refurbed. Looking forward to visiting in future to experience this too and perhaps the pretty courtyard when sun is out.

A little noisy as it's on busy corner. Meagre amounts of tea, milk etc on bedroom condiments tray. Unable to watch TV in bed as TV didn't tilt. Breakfast time options a bit early for us as only until 9.30

Warm, friendly welcome on Reception upon arrival (Elizabeth & colleague full on local recommendations, huge smiles & positive vibes), spotlessly clean modern room, extremely kind gestures by ‘Ashley KenKera, General Manager (note, balloons & complimentary drinks voucher) as a surprise for my friend who was celebrating her 40th! How very thoughtful, it was so appreciated!! Breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious, credit to Chefs, waiting on staff, excellent range of choices, fresh food & lovely, relaxing start to our day. Cannot thank you all enough at Cheltenham Holiday Inn for making our stay so pleasurable, what a Team!

This hotel is a great option for a short stay, especially thanks to its exceptionally central location—you’d be hard-pressed to find a more centrally located place in Cheltenham. The room was just the right size for two people, and the bed was very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day out. The overall cleanliness was good. We also tried the open buffet English breakfast, which was good value for money and a nice way to start the day.

Everything met our expectations

The hotel was pet friendly and the staff were as pleased to meet our dog as they were to meet us. The main bed in the family room was very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. The room was wonderfully clean with a view onto a lovely courtyard outside with art work on the walls. The whole family enjoyed the stay.

The sofa bed was very lumpy and the Aircon wasn't very powerful although still running and quite noisy. We were given an extra fan if we were too hot so the staff were aware of the Aircon problem and were very helpful about it. Our only real issue was the sofa bed being quite uncomfortable.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly, breakfast was good and staff were very prompt with cleaning tables to free them for new guests, room was lovely and location of hotel was brilliant.

The room was beyond hot. It's only a minor issue but it did really impact our sleep, especially on the second night. The comfort cooler wasn't powerful enough to generate cold air, we did get a jug of iced water but the temp in the room was unbearable at times so we sat next to the window for a while in the middle of the night. We woke up pretty tired. Better Air con would definitely solve this and then the stay would have been perfect!

Room was cool and reasonably quiet. Breakfast good, varied and plentiful. Short walk into the town centre.

Car parking, No dedicated hotel car/bike park. Despite the hotel negotiating a discount with the NCP car park next door, the parking was a little fraught and still quite expensive in my view for a classic vehicle. Not particularly secure with several hotel customers complaining of issues. I had no problems as it happens.

It's my second stay at this hotel as it's in such a wonderful location across the road from lots of quality restaurants and an amazing 12 screen Cinema 📽 and yet peaceful in the evening's. A wonderful buffet style breakfast to suit all tastes together with a discounted multi - storey parking opposite this hotel compliments the helpful happy staff. All in all perfect and I would happily stay again when visiting the charming town of Cheltenham 😊
